Okay. I need to calm down.
So I guess I'll begin at the beginning? There is this International Center-like place near my school. At the beginning of last school year I decided to check it out because I've heard that they offer free language courses.
Despite of finding stuff about father dubious people who hang out there, I actually did go in...to my surprise, everyone was VERY nice. Awkwardly so. Some alarm bells went off, but I decided to stay. I brought two friends along too.
And I've actually made friends with a couple of people there, including this man we shall call AB now. We always talk a lot, drink tea and stuff. He's just nice too. Yeah, I know, I'm a little paranoid about things like that, but then you never know.
So, now I've decided to look into the dubious stuff again. BANG. I found an article that mentions AB. Most probably the same AB I know. It says that he was in jail for knifing a man. Maybe not in Hungary, but who knows? The author of the article and the man quoted about it are quite reputable.
The thing is, I didn't find anything else about this case. I found more info on AB's frinds though, or more like rumors, and while some seems like typical governmental bullshit, who knows?
This whole just screams TROUBLE.
And yes, this actually has precedents. So it isn't like I'm wholly innocent for ending up in this situation. I'm sorry I cannot tell the whole story.
But...anyone have some advice? I'm just confused. (Okay. I've been confused for the last few years.) And right now I cannot use more complications. But I cannot just leave. (Too curious.)

I guess asking him if it was true wouldn't be a good idea. XD
Um. Is he intimidating at all? If not, he's harmless I guess.

Well... a couple of things...
The first, is that people change. Even if he was "bad" then, he may very well be different now... have learned his lesson... So, really, the only way I think you can tell how he is now is to get to know him yourself.
Secondly, though, even if he is "nice"... don't let your guard down. I'm sure that it wouldn't be too hard to just make sure that there's plenty of other people around you... it discourages bad things from happening...
Third, if I were you, I'd enjoy those free language courses! ^_^

Hirun: I can't ask him since I have just one piece of info to back it up. I don't want to offend him, since he's like the boss of the place and all and could throw me out gonk
Sib: Yeah, he might have changed, but don't know. He might just be faking it...(Yeah, paranoia again. But since I am pretty good at deception, I assume everyone else might be too.)
There are many people around usually. Whew. Even if they might be money launderers & guys arrested for plotting some murder xd But there also kids my age...
Btw, I'm currently learning Arabic from a Yemeni medicine student. She's so cute rofl
