Stone Cold Jazz... We're a combo or small group.. Whicever term you prefer. Base, Rhodes, drums and sax.

MHHornfreak We call ourselves the Jazz Underground we're a 17 piece bigband! it must be hard to find a shedule for 17 ppl and to write stuff too.

Funny you said that we have loads of problems with that but we have some great writers, We just need to get more stand-ins cuz people have been flakey lately.

The jazz band i am in is called Jazz Band. Its a school band.
We have:
Big Band - The best jazz players in school
Stage Band - The not quite best jazz players in school but still good
Jazz band - For training up the kids with 'potential'

BUT I'm currently looking for a name for an R&B band. Any suggestions?
And someday I want to name a group Cucumbers in Vinaigrette, or a variation on that. Probably like..jazz fusion? XD.

Funny you said that we have loads of problems with that but we have some great writers, We just need to get more stand-ins cuz people have been flakey lately. yeah i have trouble just getting 5 people together i cant even imagine 17. also one tihng i wanted to add why is it that in jazz band names the word jazz is commonly used? not to offend anyone that does but im just saying i usually dont see other genres band names refering to there genre.

Blues Brothers(and sisters, if you must be politically correct)

I heard a good band name, I saw them on TV once. Their name was Monsieur Camembert. I thought it was cool.

Our Jazz Band is a school band for the most part so we don't get a specific name, but we've earned the nickname Round Midnight because our bassist and guitarists love the song we do named that and always suggest we play it.

The pride and joy of our school are called the Midnight Riders (4 piece combo). They did a rap piece at the club last week xd It was sweet.
