NAME OF LOCATION - Gazoran VIDESCRIPTION - Small L Class Planet orbiting a G-type star. Atmosphere consisting of mainly oxygen and argon, environmental suits must be worn if visiting the planet for more than three hours. That is, for humans. The atmospheric effects on a person may vary according to species. The planet has no native sentient life, but has 'pockets' of lush plant life and primitive micro-organisms. LOCATION - Sector C-9 PEOPLE - Micro-organisms have been detected, but there are no sentient beings or any other type of non-plant life on the planet CLIMATE - Temperate conditions, but on three of the four major land masses there are strong winds. The poles are extremely dangerous, with deadly ice storms. The planet consists of four large land masses, with little surface water. RESOURCES - Sensor sweeps confirm small dilithium deposits on the smallest of the four land masses. Vegetation properties have yet to be examined closely. ANY OTHER ASTRONOMICAL DATA ABOUT THE SYSTEM There is a small asteroid belt at the edge of the system, and Gazoren VI has one moon, similar in climate to Earths moon. The G-type star's radiation output is slightly higher than normal, but is well within safety limits. Note: I will finish this thread soon! -moo

"Alright, set up Arrowhead. We'll post a guard". The first officer looked over at the now pale skinned captain. "Captain would you like some coffee to fully awaken you, sir?". The captain smiled and looked over. "Very well, and thank you." Raymura, replicated a small cup of coffee on a saucer and passed it to, Marcus, then sat down again.
The next set of orders were simple, really. "Alright, Frederick, set up 4, Nav points around this area and begin a patrol route." "Aye, captain". The Unity moved to half impulse and began making diamond shape, patrol routes, around the sector. Scanning continuously for hostile, or unwanted, contact. While this was going on, the Arrow Head was already testing its main systems...

Onboard the Arrowhead, sleeping crewmen were awakened, shields were brought online, weapons were powered, and all the crew were ready to begin testing. One of the two crewmen in the engineering section came up to the main compartment to check a diagnostic readout of the ship's systems during the test. Then, once everything was deemed ready, the small ship sped towards the asteroid field for maneuverability testing.

Sarena holds the Frostwing at stationkeeping within the asteroid belt, having arrived a few days before the other ships. remaining cloaked, and running silent... She waits.. along with her partner, who is somewhere nearby, for the right time....

While patrolling the area, the crew of the Unity, was on top alert and kept track of all the activity in the immediate vicinity. As the Arrow head continued its system check, and tunings. They were nearing completion, or, that is what it looked like, from afar.

Sarena keeps her eyes on the passive scanner... the new ship was almost in position, with the unity almost in it's own position... She sends a very fast, tight beam to her partner, the transmission was to fast and tightly sent for any not in the line of transmission to detect, with one word, "Ready." Still keeping under cloak, she sets her shields and weapons to power and engage when she disengages the cloak...

The USS Arrowhead moved into the asteroid field and began whipping and zipping between the large chunks of rock and dust. The control systems seemed to be working adequately...

"Moves us closer to the Arrowhead, ensign" "aye captain". The Unity broke its patrol route and moved closer to the distant asteroid field across the sector, where the Arrow head had finished its test run.

The Arrowhead continued its testing. At the moment, the Unity was still on the farthest edge of its patrol route, and several million kilometers away. Arrowhead wasn't finished yet. The crew performed several drills and began to test the ship's abilities in compromised situations. They weren't anywhere near finished with the tests. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Quote: System StatisticsHull: 2000 Shields: 1950 Shield Emitters: 975 Engines: 950 Sensors: 700 Torpedo Types: Light Romulan Plasma Torpedoes Torpedo Stock: 30 The Frostwing would receive a lightning fast communication from her mysterious shadow of a partner. It was perfect... The USS Unity was at the farthest distance away from the Arrowhead that it could possibly be on its patrol, and still be within the system. Even at the Nova Class top Emergency Speed of Warp 8, it would take a full 60 seconds to reach the other side of the system where the USS Arrowhead was currently undergoing its test runs. (Each combat post is usually about 20 seconds of time, meaning that the USS Unity can't fire weapons for three posts, which by that time they will be in range. This means that Serasa and the other ship will be able to fire on the Arrowhead 3 times each before your ship arrives. Post order will be the "Informant", then Serasa, then the Arrowhead, then the Unity, and then the cycle repeats.) In an instant a blur would appear directly behind the Arrowhead as the form of a Romulan Firehawk Cruiser decloaked and locked weapons onto the unsuspecting Prototype. Then, with several green bursts, the forward facing disruptors on board the Firehawk would fire as two plasma torpedoes shot from the two forward facing torpedo tubes to collide with the shields of the runabout. Quote: Disruptor Damage: 7 x 36 = 252 252 x 1.2 = 302 Plasma Torpedo Damage: 2 x 100 = 200 Total Damage: 502 Damage to Shields of USS Arrowhead (40% Reduction by Regen. Shields = 201 Damage to Shields)

At the Comm, Sarena jumps the Frostwing to tactical speed, dropping cloak while coming up underneath the runabout. powering weapons and shields, while targeting the prototype and firing foreward weapons..

Lieutenant Commander Decker shouted across the blaring alarms as his ship came under attack. Tactical! Report!!The tactical officer righted his chair and quickly scanned the readouts on the monitors around him as red alert blared. Our shields just took a massive hit, sir! Two Romulan vessels have fired a full spread of weaponry at us! Talon and a Firehawk! They came out of nowhere sir! They must have been cloaked!Where the HELL is Unity?!Tactical shows her as being on the farthest part of her patrols, sir. She won't reach us for another minute or so...The tactical officer sounded worried. That was never a good sign... The crew in the main compartment looked to their commanding officer for support as he weighed the situation. Arm the weapon systems and open fire on the smaller vessel! If we can damage them enough they might stop their attack. Hop to it!The officers jumped into action and the small runabout whipped around, firing a full spread of micro quantum torpedoes, pulse phasers, and type VI phasers towards the Frostwing. With any luck they could hold their own until the USS Unity arrived. As the ship fired Decker sent a hail to the Unity. USS Arrowhead USS Unity, this is an emergency! We are under fire by two Romulan Vessels! Requesting immediate assistance! The weapons would speed across the expanse between the ships and slam into the shields of the Frostwing. The USS Unity, already, knew that the Arrowhead was in trouble. there was no need for a distress signal. The "light show", could be seen from afar. The Unity went to full warp speed. To try and reach the Arrowhead. Quote: Hull: 1500 Shields: 800 Shield Emitters: 400 Engines: 700 Sensors: 800 Torpedo Stock: 30 Photon Torpedoes

With any luck they'd soon have the shields down, and their plan would truly be capable of coming to fruition. The Informant knew that the USS Unity was at maximum warp on an intercept course. Obviously to attack the attackers. And therefore he wanted to make sure that he could strike soon. He quickly programmed his ship's computers to auto target and fire the weapons, and to stay on target, then headed aft to engineering to prepare for what was to come next... (last dice is for phasers) The Frostwing lurched violently, and sparks flew from some panels towards the back of the cabin. Barely keeping her seat, Sarena curses in a very unladylike manner as she quickly sets the damage control systems operational, setting up her attack run as she sees the runabout still in front of her, she goes all out, firing her foreward weapons again, the emerald lances of the four disruptor bolts casting eerie green reflections back on the white hull of the Frostwing for the barest of instants, followed a split second later by the shimmering bolt of the foreward torpedo.. As the Frostwing passes the runabout, the azure/emerald beam of the Frostwing's phaser lashes out as well, followed a moment later as the Frostwing finishes passing the underside of the runabout, by another flash as the second torpedo flares to life for the instant it takes to reach the runabout...
