Seidus & Iyemina Theme
Good Enough by Evanescence
User Image

He'd been tracking her for a week now. That strange aroma, like a mixture of smoke and ash, it wasn't your typical scent for a female to be wearing but it definately had caught his attention over time. He knew it, from Ennui's memory, it belonged to Iyemina but for some reason he'd never really noticed the woman until now.

Too many nights spent searching through library books with his better half and that harlot jingle-bell b***h, Relique. He hated her. Hated everything she stood for... That harlot was after something, she wanted Ennui for something but he couldn't understand why or what? It didn't matter now, he'd keep his eyes peeled; try to get under her skin whenever he could. At the very least, she knew he existed; and the fact that she was terrified of him pleased him a great deal.

With that in mind, he wondered what tonight would bring? "Damn that woman!" He hadn't seen Iyemina for a very long time. The last time being during a moment of stress dealing with her brother. It had ended with the church he had been housed in burning down. That b***h.

He had initially been tracking her down when something else caught his attention. Two lovers holding hands walking down a back alley street. "Oh lookie here... play things." It'd been a while since his last meal -so to speak - he loved to play with love birds at night. They had a tendency to show their true colors.

At this time he touched down soundlessly behind them. Stalking his prey in the dark. The woman pressed against her lover tightly, the sudden chill creeping up her spin. Seidus smiled. That chill was an imbred warning device. The woman knew something was wrong but because she gathered her strength by being with her lover, she ignored her instincts. Seidus hated humans, end of dicussion. And whenever he got the chance he often stalked them down, watched until they got to their homes then took it upon himself to relieve them of anything precious... like their lives.

A few hours later, Seidus would be walking down the street the stench of blood in the air, the wet meaty substance of a fresh kill falling in globs from his robes. His eyes a bloody red were just now coming down from its sadistic high as he suddenly caught a wiff of smoke and ash. "Iyemina..." He whispered and grinned from ear to ear as he took off; keeping up with the scent and it's owner. Where was she headed so late at night, he wondered?

Iyemina, unlike Seidus, was not crazy. In fact, she was unlike her brother in that sense, too. She had patience, and would wait a lifetime to find her truth. Okay, so she was like her brother. She shrugged, rolling her eyes. Her hair hung off of the balcony of an old building, her back laying against the bottom. She wrapped a strand of hair around her fingers, playing with it, lost in deep though. She missed her brother (for once), and her good friend, Relíque. "Relíque...." Iyemina whispered, the name simply floating from her lips.

Suddenly, she began to feel a presence. Looking around, she saw nothing. The presence seemed so familiar....she knew that this person had talked to her before. Her mind wandered....until Mina realized who it was. Ennui.

Figuring that he was just passing by, she kept quiet by keeping her position. She lowered her breathing, and she watched her chest rise and fall slowly. It seemed to get colder, faster, and Iyemina began to see her own breath come from her lips.

Whispering, barely able to hear it herself, "Ennui."

The scent suddenly disappeared and with it, Seidus' fun for the evening. "Damn." He kicked at an idle rock the offending peice of earth suddenly in the line of fire. The sound of a cat caught his ears, as the creature stepped out into the street, Seidus gave it a blank stare. It was not full grown, merely a kitten.

It mewled up to him; perhaps hungry for something. So he looked around in his robes for any snacks that Ennui might have with him. A few things of gum for the brats he liked to hang with but nothing for a kitten. He then noticed the glob of meat on his sleeve and gave the kitten a wicked grin. "Here you go. Eat up." It wasn't that he was insane, it was the fact he didn't care.

He did things that his counterpart couldn't or wouldn't for that matter. Not because he liked it, but because he could. Half of his past tresgressions were simply to see if he could get away with it. And 99.9% of the time, he had. Again that familiar scent drifted on the wind and soon Seidus was on his feet. The kitten all but forgotten as it nibbled on the human remains. "Can't say I'm all bad now can they, kitty?" He gave an uproarish laugh before melting into the shadows his attention now on the other like himself.

"Come out, come out, where ever you are!" He called out, his voice echoing throughout the area. "I want to have some fun..."

Iyemina grinned. His voice, sounding mad, should have frightened her. Instead, it woke up the fire inside of her. Her hair began to pick up, resembling that of smoke. Turning over to lay on her tummy, her eyes wandered down to him. "I am up here. You must be Seidus." Still she twirled some hair around a finger, smiling.

"Relíque has told me about you, though not much. I have heard some from the grapevine, too. Many think you are insane." Her heart skipped a beat.

Her smile now growing wider, seemed inviting. "Why don't you come up here and tell me about who you chose to murder tonight?"

Seidus perked up at the sound of the voice, smiling wickedly to himself. He looked up to where he heard her and gave an uncharacteristic wave. "Hello mate!"

At the mention of Relíque, Seidus growled, "That harlot! I don't want to hear about her, she knowns nothing of me!" He managed to get out seething with rage. His red eyes trained on her for a moment as he calmed down still glaring. "And I'm not as insane as everyone thinks."

With her invitation he gave a nod heading into the building and up to where she stood on the balcony. He watched her in silence for a moment, the darkness was becoming on her but he wasn't going to admit that to her or himself. "So..." he began finding wall to lean against, while he crossed his arms. "Why are you so curious about my hobbies?"

Iyemina was instantly entranced by Seidus. He looked like Ennui, but you could actually see one of his eyes. He also seemed to hold himself better, almost as if it was he who was the greater of the two. Perhaps he was. Mina surely wanted to find out for herself.

"I am curious about you because you intrigue me. Ennui and Relíque maybe friends of mine," she began to walk closer, "but your life seems so much more interesting. Perhaps of interest to me?" She was starting to get confusing. In fact, she was confusing herself. There was a strange feeling deep inside of her....one she had almost forgotten about.

"So tell me...how are you able to sneak around with almost no one, including you-know-who, not noticing you?" Iyemina bit her lip, and crossed her arms. "It's hard not to...."

Seidus remained calm, a slight sense of intrigue washing over him as well. Arching a brow he came closer, stopping short as Iyemina also pushed forward. "So does that make me curiosity and you the cat?" He questioned lightly. "I'm sure you understand the jest..." He said, his eye roving up and down her form.

Like living smoke, he wanted to touch her hair but managed to keep to himself. Suddenly he wondered what it would sound like to make her scream. He loved it when his victims screamed... and oh yes, she had been tagged as his next victim. Well, maybe next after he got ride of Relique. Iyemina, however, was definately on the list.

As he listened to her words he closed his eyes. Calming himself down from his recent kill. The fact that she knew about his midnight shin-digs and showed no fear, frustrated him, yet intrigued him more. "What's so hard to understand, toots? Ennui is an innocent; he doesn't understand certain things about the world or himself. So he walks through life in blissful ignorance." He licked his lips, slipping passed her for the balcony.

For a moment he seemed like he was in his own world but he then looked over his shoulders. "So tell me about yourself, toots?" He inquired. "Why's a babe like yourself hanging around all alone for? Lookin' to dance with the devil? I could arrange a meeting."

She edged closer to him, now wrapping an arm around his. She bit her lip, but did not move her face closer. "I understand the jest. You want to kill me, the kitty. Since I am alone, you think that I am easy pray." Iyemina grinned, her hair still hanging like smoke in the air. Slowly, she took her arm away from his, and began to walk away.

Turning slightly, her eyes wandered from his feet up to his face. She kept the grin. "It is not nice to kill people, you know. No matter how much you may hate them." Before she realized it, she was just a step away from being in Sedius's face. "There are other ways to get your meat without being so..." Her eyes wandered again. "...Crazy." Mina sighed, and laughed. It seemed to echo throughout the square, but she did not seem to care. Instead, she just moved closer.

"Now, you were saying?"

When she wrapped herself around his arms, he tensed. Dames, he didn't understand them too well. If they weren't after a man's money then they wanted other things. So what was this dame after, he wondered? "I like to kill." He confessed, "It has nothing to do with hate or any other useless emotion. I do it because I can. Because no one is willing to challenge me, or maybe it's the thrill of the hunt, the screams, and the warm blood that stains my hands." He shivered almost in exotic bliss.

Eyeing the woman finally he let a grin etch its way from ear to ear. That word again. Was he crazy... insane? He chuckled matching her own soft laugh. "Toots, it's got nothing to do with meat. And it has nothing to do with right or wrong. I'm just a sadistic son of a b***h; and I get off on that s**t." He finally reached out to touch her hair, taking a few delicate strains to place against his nose as he took a long wiff. He shivered with delight as he stepped closer.

"Perfection in the making..." He whispered wondering what the attraction was. "Are you lookin' to dance with the devil?" He repeated once more in a hushed whisper. Often these words were spoken just before a kill, but tonight it meant something entirely different. Sadly, Seidus had no clue what, he just knew he wanted to solve the mystery that made Iyemina so attractive to him.

The fires inside of her seemed to burn brighter. Her grinning was almost constant, and him smelling her hair only fueled the flames. Iyemina spun around, placing each hand on his shoulders, and leaned against him. Her hands moved around his waist, and her head to his back. She laughed, and it almost sounded evil.

Sighing deeply, she decided to finally answer his question. He had asked twice, after all. "Only if you are the devil, darlin'." She was determined for him to return the feelings she had for him back to her, even if it was strange and out of character (for both of them).

Seidus shivered with delight, allowing the woman to do as she please...for now. He had found this interesting little tryst between them quite entertaining. She was acting like a b***h in heat but if it was all for him, he didn't mind. Too bad he didn't understand the strange tingles coursing throughout his body.

At her reply he threw back his head and let out an uproarish laugh. It filled the night with promises of death but in it lay hidden desires. "I'm anything you want me to be, babe, anything at all." He decided to see where this would lead them. Wondering why he had even allowed someone to get so close. She could easily pull out a knife and kill him. Then again... Seidus didn't die easily.

Shifting in his stance he turned to face her slipping an arm around her waist where he pressed her firmly against him. "Mmm, so tell me, my saucey little prima donna, what do you want from me?" He began playing with her hair again, something about it always attracting his attention; only this time he burried his face in the crock of her neck where most of her hair rested. He loved the smell of her... smoke and ash.

She liked that he smelled of her hair, seemed so willing to do whatever she wanted, and that he seemed almost a awkward as she did. Though usually a feeling Iyemina hated, this time was different. It was almost like....she had loved him greatly in a past life. But did the sorrow's have a past life?

Wrapping a finger around a long strand of his hair, she grinned slyly. She leaned in closely to his ear, where he must have felt her warm breath. "I believe you enjoy hearing your victims scream. What if you were to hear the scream, a pleased scream, from someone you love and who loves you back?" Though Mina knew he may never love in return, it wasn't that big of a deal. If he broke her heart, it would heal back....and find another.

For now, he was all she desired. Her heart skipped a beat, looking into his one eye one second, then locking lips with him the next.

He was content to stand there wrapped in her aroma. His arms tightening around her body, not in a lover's imbrace but in a possesive hold. As if he were ready to devour her very soul.

A smile etched across his face ever so slowly, with the mention of a scream, he licked his lips. The idea of making someone scream in pleasure had never crossed his mind. How would one do that, he wondered? However, his stray thoughts were snapped back to reality at the mere mention of love. And before he could even make a reply the woman had him locked in a kiss.

His first kiss. He'd never thought about it before, never had time. Between tearing humans from limb to limb and torturing the witch Relique over the centuries he didn't have the time... or pleasure. He realized suddenly that he liked it. And through instincts alone his arms wrapped around her tighter, one hand reaching to grasp a handful of her hair almost painfully as he pressed her closer.

The kiss lasted a whole five minutes before he pried himself free, pushing her away with a growl. "Why...?" Was all he could ask. He licked his lips still tasting her there, eyes trained on her partical as a hunter and the other as something he couldn't place, but still very much like a hunter.

It was not Mina's first kiss, and surely would not be her last. Everything was going as planned, until she was shoved away and questioned. At first, she thought she knew the answer...but the more she thought about it, the more she became confused. "I-I'm not sure. It just felt like the thing to do." Her hands were coming up to hold her face, but stopped at her waist. She crossed her arms, facial expressions changing entirely. A smirk came across her face. "What, am I not a good kisser?"

She cackled, something she rarely if ever done, and began to get close to him again. This time, she did not touch him. "I can assure you my intentions were for you to light my fire. My flame was going out, and you seem to be the one to make me burn....hotter."

Iyemina wanted him to make the first move this time.

He smirked, the kiss was something new to experience. He'd never understood them before, up until now, he might have despised them. "Wonderful performance, doll. However, I'd appreciate it if you gave me a warning next time." He didn't mean it. Mystery was a turn on.

When she put her guard up, Seidus stepped forward. He loved watching his prey prepare themselves. This new form of hunting was fun, it require using sense he hadn't known existed. And the fact he had to restrain himself from ripping out that very heart he could just vaguely hear beating so fast, made it that much more exciting.

He stepped closer, standing over her with his tall frame. "Light your fire?" A sadistic twinkle sparked in his eye as he lifted the other side of his cloth. Now two sets of blood red orbs peered down on her. "So I make you hot, is that it?" He moved closer forcing her to step back until she was pressed against the wall. Again his hand snaked out to grab fistfuls of her hair forcing her to kiss him once more. He'd be lying if he say he didn't like it but he didnt' care about lying or anything of the sort. The fact of the matter was that he wanted to posses her suddenly, control every fiber of her being and then watch her break down... The thought made him smile into the kiss just before ending it, his hand still grabbing her hair.

"Then if you want me to stoke that fire in you. You'll have to give yourself to me completely." He yanked her hair pushing her closer to him as he watched her. "I mean it. All of you... if I'm going to be the devil consider this your dance."
