Ashi the Omega hey everyone does anyone else play or listen to metal rock or industrial? what do you play and whats your favorite band? OMG! yes!!!! i listen to metal/rock/alternative/anything that catches my ear of the sort...and i play piano... although that's not considered a "rock instrument" there are a couple of songs by some rock bands that incorporate piano like Atreyu and Alkaline Trio...i dunno if you've heard of them but they're great.. xd

Rock is awesome! I play guitar and I'm hoping to get my hands on a bass soon.
In terms of favorite bands, I'd have to go with System of a Down. They are beyond awesome! scream

I play the drums in a metal band, called Stormblown. The band derives its name from the album "Stormblast", by Dimmu Borgir, which loosely translates to Stormblown.
We play a mix of black metal, death metal, folk metal, and many other kinds of metal. Be sure to check us out on MySpace! smile (and attend to our shows, if at all possible domokun )
Unfortunately, our best songs and recordings aren't up yet, but we hope to get that fixed soon! smile
I've never really been into industrial, but I really like power metal and folk metal. A few of my favorites include:

Moonsorrow
Rhapsody (..of Fire. Bah, hate the fact they had to change their name.)

Avenged Sevenfold = Best Band; and here's why:
The Rev - Insane on the drums. Best riff on Almost Easy
Synyster Gates - Best solos I've heard in a while. Best solo - To end the Rapture
Johnny Christ - Excellent bass riffs. Example in Bat Country.
M. Shadows - Great singer. Great screamer. Great attitude, and d. all of the above.
Zacky Vengence - So he's not lead, he's still better than a lot of lead guitarists, but Syn is just better.
As for my self, I am currently mastering bass. But I dare not play A7X - seeing as how I would need four arms to play.

I play piano and do vocals mostly. I'm a beginner in terms of electric guitar and drums. I tried to start a band, but none of my friends play instruments and anyone I know who does play is either in a band or doesn't want to be in one.
Rock's such a broad genre, it's hard to pick, but Muse is probably my top or is very close.

im a heavy/shred guitarist...i also play the cello in our schools first orchestra
favorite bands-
lamb of god,
dragonforce,
judas preist,
iron maiden,
slayer,
megadeth,
old metallica,
led zeppelin,
motley crue,
pink floyd,
killswitch engaged,
etc....
anyway rock on poeple and remember when in doubt blast some lamb of god!!
