Battlefield...RANDOMIZER! >O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE GRASS FIELD!
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

"Ready Lixue?" Luna asked, already standing at her designated trainers box with a large smile. She hadn't battled with her friend in such a long time! Well, actually, it had only been a month, but a month WAS a long time in her mind.
Albireo rolled around on the grass lazily, he had already emerged out of the pokeball before the other trainer arrived. He uprighted himself at the sight of the other trainer and gave Lixue a happy bark along with his trademark goofy grin.

Lixue blinked at the field for a moment. "Grassfield.......they do this to us on purpose!" Lixue released Ai from her ball. "Ready now..."
Ai sat up rather tall. Her body now long and lithe. A dangerous beauty now finally evolved.

Luna chuckled. "I know, bad karma I guess~" She paused a while to observe Ai. "Congradulations! Ai evolved!" The trainer shot her friend a large smile. "I guess we'll have to try even harder in this battle then, right Albireo? Let's start this off with a traditional ice beam!"
Albireo sniffed Ai's scent. His friend looked different, but she still smelled the same! He barked at his trainer's encouraging voice, battle time! Albireo quickly charged up a blue sphere infront of his arm. The sphere soon turned into a ray that shot straight for Ai, freezing the grass it passed through, turning the soft green lawn into pointy icicles.

Lixue smiled and moved out of the way. "Yes...she did evolved. How exciting. So let's test this. Dodge and use Aurora Beam!"
Ai flattened out and rolled only getting roughed up by the beam. She glared at her mussed fur and then turned and sat up. A beam of colorful light powered up and she shot it at Albireo.

"Aqua tail!" Luna ordered as soon as she saw Ai charge up her attack. She almost missed what Lixue was saying, not that Luna actually remembered what the trainer said. When she was in battle, she tended to lose her train of thought on conversations.
Albireo whipped his tail around to block the incoming attack, using an additional aqua tail attack to reduce the damage. As soon as the attack relented, Albireo simutaniously barked and slammed his tail onto the ground, causing a shockwave to result. The frozen grass was flung up into the air and at Ai. Did I mention they were nice and spiky as well?

"Take Down!" Lixue knew that being female and smaller might make some more physical attacks against a male a bit more difficult, but knew Ai was tough.
Ai had pulled her tail up to cover her pretty face. The frozen grass made small cuts into her tail that didn't really seem to bother her. As soon as that attack passed her by she was suddenly move rather fast down the field and then launched her full body weight straight at Albireo.

A close up attack? Well, no problem! "Natural Gift!" Luna ordered, smirking. Time to give Lixue and Ai a shocking suprirse!
Albireo tilted his head again, thinking for a moment. He concentrated on the berry, tied to his neck by a necklace decorated by a moon beed and a feather. The berry started to glow, electric sparks starting to cackle around it.
Albireo held his ground while holding off Ai with his own large body weight, being knocked back a bit by Ai's momentem. Now! Albireo's eyes glowed, and the berry glowed as well. A large electric shock jolted through both pokemon, although the majority of the volts crawled towards Ai.

Lixue seemed more interested in the new attack than worried about Ai at the moment...."Move outta the way! Head butt!"
Ai managed to get out of the way of most of the attack and came back at Albireo horn first in a headbutt attack.

"Horn drill!" Luna retorted. If Ai was using her horn, then Albireo would use his too! Or whatever was left of his horn anyways. And with his extra bulk and the spin of the attack, they could easily ward off Ai.
Albireo launched at Ai as well with his battle-worn horn out front and spinning like a drill. He locked onto Ai's horn, meeting in a tie once again and letting out a grunt. But, how long COULD Ai's horn afford to stay in contact with Albireo's? The rapid spinning was sure to cause some damage to the other horn if the pokemon did not retreat immediately.

Lixue moved to see better what was going on. "Ai get away and use Aurora Beam!"
Ai managed to move her face away from Albireo not wanting to mess it up and go nicked on the shoulder. She moved away from him and built up an Aurora Beam and shot it at him.

"Straight through with a takedown!" She ordered, going with their usual strategy of breaking through the beam attacks. She hoped that Lixue wasn't used to it by now, she had been playing around with the strategy quite a few times with the other trainer.
Albireo chest-first into the beam, continuing onwards dispite the pain and the cold. Endure! As he got closer to Ai, he launched himself, with every inch of body fat he had, at the other pokemon, his eyes shining with determination.

Lixue watched this massive male go at her Ai and bit her lip. "AI! Meet him eye for eye!" she shouted.
Ai quit her attack and launched in a take down attack as well. Using her attack as a way to lessen the effects of his and causing damage to.

((You know, you can't really say you caused damage o__o;;
And wouldn't technically, if you put two forces hurling at each other, there would be more pain than just one force knocking at another object? xD;;
But I'll let it slide =P ))
Seeing that both pokemon were in such close range of each other, Luna decided it was the perfect time to use their special attack. "Natural gift!" She ordered with a slight smirk. This was hopefully going to cause a bang!
Albireo barked, the berry on his chest glowing brighter and brighter before...
KABOOM!
The berry exploded, spreading tendrils of electricity everywhere. Berry juice laced with electricity stained the coats of both pokemon. Uh-oh. That didn't look so good...
Albireo, of course, was not affected much since he could always stop his own attack against him, but he had no intention of halting his attack at Ai.
