There was, he decided, too few Kalona mares in this place... Sure he'd met a fetching little Wind -a delightful toy- and a wicked half breed -who's teeth were sharp enough- but none of them were a proper wicked lady... None of them were like him... A full Kalona.. He hadn't even run into a stallion like himself! Why was there nothing but the good little Soquili running about? It was downright irritating...

Shade flew high in the sky, her opaque wings stretched out beside her, the black and blue kalona female tossed her long mane and let it billow behind her. She had slowly started coming back to her race, at least she;d meet one stallion whom she enjoyed spending time with .. but they needed more... more kalona who thought they way they did. Letting out a frustrated roar Shade banked suddenly and started in a spiraling nose dive towards the earth bellow. With her wings now tucked in close she picked up speed till she suddenly opened them up once more with aloud snap and planted her back hooves skidding through the earth. Once she same to a halt Shade started forward once more her tail twitching slowly back and forth behind her.

With a graceful arch of his handsome neck, Aveshar picked up his pace to a floating trot. Evil though he might be, he was still capable of a surprisingly graceful gait. Floating through the woods, he lashed his tail as he looked for something to do. Perhaps he could find a little flutter and tear its wings off.... The sound of a raging scream, furious and wild, snapped his head up and had his ears pitching forward to catch more of the sound. Such a delicious sound... He could almost drink it in as it floated to him on the wind. Striding toward the sound, he allowed a dark laugh to escape him. "My, my, we do not sound pleased..."

Shade strode forward her head up long mane billowing as a gust of wind whipped past her. The roses on her fore legs trembled with every step she took and her tail was snapping back and forth.
A vocie suddenly boomed at her and she whipped aorund "who the bloody hell..." she paused looking the stallion up and down and relaxed slightly. She shook her head making the chain between her two horns jingle "ah, brother of the raven blessed, excuse my snarkyness I thought you an insolent lesser breed."

Silver brows arched. Well well well, weren't we a witty wench? He smiled in spite of himself, pacing toward her. How entrancing... A Kalona.. Well and well, he was beginning to wonder if he was the only one. A lovely surprise indeed... "Insult forgiven, Lady of Sweet Night..." He rumbled, smiling, bowing slightly. "A pleasure to meet one of the deep-dark... I thought myself alone in the shadows of this world... At least there is one other to dance through the dark with me..."

She sneered "No brother, you are not alone in these lands there are many kalona but our once proud race has fallen far. Younglings are being taught to search out and degrade others for their faults and pushing the breed apart instead of using everyone's strengths and riding our world of these bloody lessers."
Shade was small for a kalona mare, but looks could be deceiving for she had powerful muscles hidden beneath the silken black coat.

Aveshar knew danger when he saw it.. And though this mare was little, there was power in her. And how could there not be? She was a Kalona, with an inheirant pride in her race, a regal way to her bearing. Her point was a good one. Why were their foals not taught to attack the feather-winged winds? To drop from the sky and scare the weak-minded ground-dwellers. Was there no pride in the breed? Pride in what it meant to be of the dark? "You are the first I have spoken to in a long time, but it is refreshing to find one so like-minded. I confess, I had begun to fear the worst..." Though from what she said, the race was crumbling. This troubled the dark stallion...

She threw back her head and laughed in a psychotic manner, most thought Shade wasn't all there but she also could have been making you think that for her own purposes you never really knew with her.
"oh but brother our race is suffering the worst, some of us have run to lessers to pop out half-lings that bear the raven-blessed's proud symbols ... but are as weak as fleas."
She shook her head "for along time others of the kalona breed hunted me down as being 'a lesser' among our breed because I didn't slink in the shadows, but as of lat I have seemed rise from my own ashes."
She hissed low, "these half-lings .... they make my blood boil more than even the lessers." Shade started stamping her hooves eyes a blaze and fangs bared.

Aveshar could certainly understand... The half-breed he'd met, she'd been part unicorn.. Unicorn! As if such a union could have happened! The only excuse was perhaps a breaking gone... Well... He shook his head. No self-respecting Kalona stallion would take a unicorn mare to mate, even if it was to break her spirit. "I understand all too well, Lady of the Darkness..." His voice was a low rumble. "Perhaps I shall stay long enough to chase some of these halflings about... The idea intrigues me."

"Bah! forgot chasing, I just want to rip our beloved horns and wings off their bodies then crush their pathetic bones into the earth!"
The mare shook her head and the chain between her twin horns jingled, she had what looked like a unicorns horn, silver and gleaming but tainted with blood. It served another purpose though making the foolish lessers think for a moment that she was a half-ling.
She cackled again flaring her opaque wings, one could see hazy outlines of trees through them.

Aveshar's ears flashed forward at the sound of her wishes, flicked back, then forward.. He liked Shade's ideas of a good time... Bringing pain to lessers would keep him occupied for a time... He glanced at the world through the black-smoke haze of her wings, flaring his own ebon-dark in response. "Perhaps I will join you in such a hunt." He replied softly. "Such things sound, most pleasing..."

A soft snort escaped her and she tossed her mane making the silken strands fly to the other side of her neck. "It would be a pleasure to have a true raven-blessed brother join me on a hunt," she licked her lips already tasting the sweet tang of blood that would flow from the veins of those weaklings.
Shade ws thinking her ears flat then she spoke, although it seemed to be mroe to herself than to him. "Oh yes, our race has fallen far ..."
Shade went silent again two-toned eyes narrowing to slits "but we will rise again, even if I have to bear children to make it happen" she shuddered at the thought, Shade had never been one to want children but now necessity seemed to be pointing her to the idea that it was a burden she'd have to bear to save their race.

Aveshar smiled, ruthless intent mingled with the great joy he found in bloodying lessers. "It would not be much of a hunt, more a slaughter, with two like ourselves aligned... Do you not think, Lady Shade?"
Fallen... He, who took great Pride in being what he was, pinned his ears at such a thought... It was dissappointing.. Disgusting... He pawed at the dirt beneath his hooves, longing for the feel of a muscled body, trembling as it begged for his mercy... Mercy? Aveshar knew little of that... The thought merely made him smile.
Rise? Oh yes... And Shade was prepared to breed the next generation if it meant the downfall of the lessers... Intrigued, he eyed her. "And you know of a suitable stallion?"
Somehow, he doubted Shade seeing a stallion as 'suitable' for the next generation... But then, he'd not met many others...

Chuckles cruelly "we'd be more than enough to deal with any fools that think they are wise enough to cross our paths and expect to live." She tossed her mane and her stained horns gleamed. hey seemed to try to warn every sole to stay away, to not late the fates of those who's blood stained the four tines to befall them. But lessers never seemed to hear the warning until it was to late and their fate sealed.
She flicked her ears towards him "I've found two, one much more suitable than the other..." she paused for a moment "I may have found a third, but I shall have to study him closer for awhile." Her words held a hidden meaning and she looked Aveshar up and down.
"You said you haven't meet many true bloods of our race other than me? I do hope that changes soon enough of I shall loose all hope in our race." She shook her head disgusted.
"But! Why are we standing here brother when there are so many lessers out their with blood sweeter than wine to quench our thirst?"

He laughed, nodding slightly. "I hear nothing in that statement but the truth.. I would be hard-pressed to find a lesser to stand up to you, let alone the pair of us... Perhaps that is what makes the idea of a crusade so enjoyable..." He tilted his head, tail snapping from side to side, the light glinttering on his handsome horns. The gleamed deepest black, their tips a startling silver... He was all death and fine-figure, ruthless intent, silent menace... Her words made his ears pitch forward, then one c**k back. It gave him the overall impression he was studying her, and as she watched he straightened to his full-height, flaring his magnificent wings, pawing the ground with one cloven hoof. "Is that so?" There was a feigned neutrailty in his voice, a flare of something in his silver eyes. "As for the true-bloods, certainly not... One halfbreed who thinks to tame me..." He snorted at her folly. "And a female I would not mind breaking, as she is half unicorn..." There was disgust in his otherwise pleasant voice. Of all things to breed with! True enough, she was pleasing to the eyes, more Kalona than other... But you could smell the 'goodness' on her... It made him pin his ears, paw the ground, and long to kill something...
