I personally would've started out with guitar hero. Limbers your fingers up, for everything. >.>

There's also a way to cheat at singing.

I still stick with Guitar Hero.
I finally got up to expert.
._.
RockBand is ok.
I don't own it myself,
and the only reason I would buy it is
if I ever got bored with Guitar Hero.
Which won't happen anytime soon.

Actually, just change the pitch of your voice, and sound like an idiot. No reason for the actual words. XD

Same game, different layout, and more stuff.

It's a... and for lack of a better description...

Musically inclined RPG. As you play the roles of the many different parts of a band.

For example, the drummer, bassist/rythem guitarist(Sam Totman!), singer, and guitarist.

Plus, being that the game is set on the Xbox 360, it features a large song list already on the game, as well as more you can download, via. Xbox Live marketpace.
