James knew what he had to live up to. He looked up at his father as he was heading for his first day of school at the age of eleven. “Do you really think I’ll be like him?” he asked.
His father knelt down next to him and looked him in the eye. “You’ve already shown the signs, James. You’re the biggest troublemaker out of the three of you. I think you can manage.”
“Mischief Managed.” The boy nodded as a reply.
“That’s my boy.” Harry stood up and clapped him on the shoulder. “And if you aren’t as good as your grandfather or Uncle George, then you can be a superb Quidditch player.”
“Really?!” James asked in dearest hope. “Think I’ll get seeker next year?”
“If you’re really good, maybe this year.”
“Like you?” James chirped.
“You’re good enough.” Harry beamed.
“Mommy, Mommy, pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaase???” Lily begged Ginny. “I want to go with James!”
“Not for another couple of years yet.” Ginny urged.
Lily had tears forming in her eyes. Albus just clung to Ginny’s arm so he wouldn’t get lost.
Harry embraced his oldest child and Ginny kissed him goodbye as the train whistle blew. “Bye!” He shouted out the window as his parents and sibling waved.
James Sirius Potter knew Hogwarts was going to be as great as everyone said it would be. Teddy and Victoire loved it. Little did he know that he would be the best Seeker at Hogwarts since Harry James Potter and he would live up to the troublemaking James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and the great Fred and George Weasley.
