i hope you guys don't get mad at me but i fell this muct be said...
I fear that you all may be dissapointed by this movie. not because it's gonna suck, but for the fact that it's not gonna meet up to your high expectations. Don't get me wrong i have some of my own, but from what i've learned from other movie's they based from books they don't always meet eye to eye... more like nose to eye (or Belly button to eye in the case of Ella Enchanted sweatdrop ) I'm gonna tell you right now - and most of you know this - the movie is not goin to be perfect and by perfect i mean it's not gonna give or have every detail that the book has. But you know, it still may be a DARN good movie. i just hope you'all keep an open mind to it.
please keep in mind this post is not a flam, i just hope you guys keep your minds open so you wont be to disapointed. heart

I dont know if you noticed, but Ive had a similar thought somewhere, but I think mine was more a rant.
People just can't seem to keep an open mind at all, and it was driving me insane.
And reasonable person realizes that it will not be perfect, but they also realize it's out of their hands and whining until everyones' eyes are bleeding isnt going to help in the least.

I believe I've said something similar in the Lexicon movie discussion. I agree wholeheartedly. The movie will not make everyone happy, it will not be as good as the books. We can only hope that it will be a good movie. Unlike Blood and Chocolate. >.> *takes a deep breath to prevent a rant*
There's really nothing any of us can do about it.

I think most people here are a bit beyond flaming, though I could be wrong.
Im glad Im not the only one who thinks people need to keep an open mind.

I'm will NOT be disappointed I can guarantee it! Why? Because my standards are not 20 stories high! stare
Being an actor, I'm aware and tolerant of the film industry. A lot of my favorite books have been made into movies, and nevertheless I still love them...
(With the exception of Blood and Chocolate ... Don't even get me started on that xp )
The screen writer and director have made announcements that they themselves are fans of the series and are trying their best.
Yeah, there are going to be parts we might cringe at, that we might not like. sweatdrop But why bash the whole freaking film because it doesn't fit YOUR image? Because Edward doesn't look like the way YOU pictured him?
It all sounds a little selfish to me... rolleyes
You would think people would grow up and get used to it by now. I'm sure at least 80% of the people in this guild have survived the Harry Potter films, right?
Here's my advice. Give it a try for once before you watch the Twilight movie in December.
1. Expect disappointment. (If you set your standards too high you will be miserable and will automatically hate it.)
2. Don't freak out over little changes.(Its not that big a deal, You will manage to live on)
3. Be tolerant. (Remember how long the freaking book is and how hard these people are working for your entertainment)
4. STOP WHINING! (You'll only piss people, like me who wanna watch the movie, off.)
OK?
I hope people will take this into consideration rolleyes

I agree with you. I'm trying to be pretty optimistic concerning how the filming is going and what some of the actors are describing for the scenes, but I'm growing more worried. I'm sure the film will be okay and not stray to far from the original story line though.

You know, it's actually the little things that are going to end up bugging me the most.
They could change half the plot line, but I'll be whining that Edward's line was different. wink
