The suburbs was nothing more than a jolly little subdivision of the whole place itself. Every house was snugged in flawlessly with just enough backyard space to frolic in. The owners kept their lawns cut well and their pets well-behaved...for the most part. It was a urban paradise. However, in the northeastern corner of all the cheer, a gloomy and unkept street homed the abandoned and forsaken. Both animal and human alike nary dared to bother it, save for the few who lived there disdainfully. Few know the story behind the ruins of the corner of suburbia, but if you listen to the right stories, you could learn its secrets.

Kiran kept his head low to the pavement of the sidewalk, sniffing out remainders of old inhabitants or perchance the gaps of the story he had once forgotten. He swept away the ashes from behind him with his long, orange tail. With a sigh he looked around.
There was nothing left here for him, he felt. Only the decay of an old dream that was destroyed alongside the lives taken with it. Kiran felt crestfallen at the sight of a lonely emptiness.

Lucy looked around she had been departed by her family and was out sniffing along for shelter in the darkened city streets. Her white fur splotched with dirt brown. It has been a day since she was abandoned and she felt sickly alone.

Kiran turned his attention forwards. A dead end stood before him. Without remorse, he turned back around; turning back on his memory of the blocked off fence.
There's so salvation in this place. Go figure.
He thought to himself silently looking up willfully to head out of the dreadful niche. In a daze, he felt another creature bump into him. Kiran had been so lost in his thoughts, he had hardly noticed the newcomer. Kiran blinked himself back to his senses and began to speak.
"Uh...are you lost, m'lady?" he said in the most gentlemanly voice he could muster. I seemed that Kiran was in a rather pleasent mood compared to his usual aloofness.

Lucy looked up, her blue eye's scanning the male dog who spoke so politely "Yes I'm quite lost and terribly afraid" she said her voice shaky and uncertain of him. She sat down glancing at his orange fur and gave a sigh.
she had to trust him no one else was near by no one else could help her

Kiran immediately sensed timidity in this dog and tried his hardest to make himself seem less imtimidating. With effort, he let a warm smile spread across his face and could almost feel his heart warm as well. Kiran looked around, wary of anything that could be a sign that this scenario was some sort of joke.
"I certainly can tell. This place isn't suitable for a house pet like you." Kiran said.
Even in moments of certain emotionality, Kiran could find a way to work in his arrogance. Knowledgeble he was, he was still oblivious to why anyone would wander to this dump, lest they were looking for their lost memories.

"I know" she sniffled her eyes watering. "I was going for a walk and got separated from my house folk I tried to find them but only kept getting farther away from them" she said as she sensed he was someone she could almost trust, his smile kept her from feeling utterly hopeless.

Kiran tilted his head to the left and sat down, becoming more interested in her story. He flipped his tail once, over to the side and one of his ears flattened to his head.
"It's an awfully long way. You don't want to be in an awful place like this." Kiran said with a dash of sympathy in his voice.
He paused to look around and retake in his surroundings. Maybe, to this poor little stranger, he could weave the tale of the tragedy that befell this place.
"It was once beautiful, you know." he muttered, head upward staring at a sign that meant nothing to him.
Dogs can't read human language. Pishaw.

Lucy listened he seemed to be seeing something she did not. "Really? tell me more" she said as she turned her head slightly to listen to his story. She was intrigued by his voice and the way he told the start of his story. She wagged her tail slightly in a much happier mood then earlier and was thrilled to listen to his story. She did not feel lost, but she felt as though she knew him longer then she did.

((*yawns* Last post of the night, I'll be back tomorrow!~))
Kiran looked back down at her, rather surprised. By no means was he a story-weaver, but he was more than happy to share knowledge; even with a girl.
"Yeah. This street. It was such a happy one, like the rest around here. Grinning families moved in, there were all sorts of animals here. I got to know a few."
Kiran stopped and sighed. From the tone of his sigh, it could be noted his mind was thinking of someone. It was rather courageous of him to speak the story because he didn't know all of it, but knew enough to sickenly satiate him.
"I met..well..a girl here. She was a trained house pet. My, how naive and easily influenced. Her owners were the exact opposite, though."

(ok bubii) "Oh I'm sorry you do not have to continue" she said sensing the despair and lost in his voice. She did not want to upset him by making him remember it all once again. Her heart lurched as she looked about this destroyed and empty place, she could not imagine the damage it must have been through.

"Oh. You thought. Hah! She wasn't my mate or anything. She was simply a good acquitance of mine. You couldn't help but feel bad for her because of how her owners were. They were unlike humans I've seen here; they were clumsy. I guess."
Kiran paused again, to find more words in the back of his head to make the story make sense.
"From what I remember, there was a huge, blazing fire that came from that house. It spread all throughout the street and eventually killed off any signs of life here. At the time, I was still a stray, but I found particular solace here." Kiran continued.
He turned his head towards a house that once was beautiful, but now stood with large holes in the ceiling and part of a wall torn off. It was easily the most destroyed and blackened abode, pointing out that it had started the arson.
"To be truthful, I'm not exactly sure if anyone survived. I sprinted, as fast as I could out of here. That's my reason for being here."

"Oh i see" she said happy to here she was a friend. And heart broken to imagine what this place has once been.
"Have you ever lived with a human?" she asked curious if he was always a stray.
her white fur was now grey and as she sat her tail moving every once and awhile it had seemed to turn darker in color.

Kiran was a tad shocked that his new acquitance had asked this question. Not may others he worked with gave a care as to his personal life. They cared only if he would uphold his end of the bargain.
"It's a mutual kind of thing. My owner lets me run free in the daytime and at night, I stay with her." Kiran explained.
He stood up and shook himself, leaving his pelt still lightly covered in ash.
"You know, I never caught your name."

"Oh how terribly rude of me, my name is Lucy and yours?" she said ashamed she had not introduced herself.
But her voice showed some pride she had a cute name and she was delighted to be acquanted(sp?) with him.
She too got up quickly and gave a good shake, dirt and ash coming off her fur, she lifted a paw and gave a good lick, before turning back to him.

Kiran had to think on it. How much could he say to her and still trust her? To put it simply, Kiran was a little wary of this one's motives. Out of politeness, he told her his background, but names he found in high reguard. They were somewhat of a trophy to him. Kiran found the name Lucy very...well feminine for one but also rather calming.
"I'm dubbed Kiran." he said shorly and regally.
Kiran felt his front paws twitch with anticipation and a tiny pang of anxiety dtruck his heart. the house across the way made him nervous. It was all a little eerie. The reason he'd come here was to discover said house, and that's what he intended to do.
"If you don't mind, I'm going to go check out that house. You're welcome to come with." Kiran said simply.
With a a few graceful bounds --not common in a dog his age-- Kiran cleared the street and began sniffing the ground around the house curiously.
