April looked around the corner of the den's entrance. "Good no ones coming." "And why is that good?" April jumped at her father's voice. He walked up to beside her, his head was still more then two heads higher then her own head. She growled. "I want to by myself today father. No guards no protection. You raised me to be strong why do I need them?" Her father shook his head looking out over the water. "Because, I don't wnat you to get hurt." April growled and ran out of the den, opening her wings when no more earth was under her feet. Her father sighed letting his wings drop down and his head as well. "She's a hand full. Go after her girls." His two oldest daughters stepped out of the darkness of the den. They had growen bright and beautiful feathers over their years. They walked down the steep slope off of the den entrance, their talons digging into the rock as they climbed down. April dove down into the water, turning it icey cold. Her sisters ran into the water running on the sand. The cold didn't bother them one bit since they were also snow griffins. April came to an under water cave and swam into it. Aerion was lieing on a great rock in the middle of the cave. He had the place cleared of all logs and or unwanted rocks. She came up to him smileing. "How are you today Aerion??" Aerion frowned seeing two more white griffins come out of the water.

The head male of a family of snow griffins looked down form his den. He smiled but turned around and smiled seeing his mate come up behind him with their youngets hatchling. He was still too small to fly so he climbed onto his father's back and his father glided down with his mate to met the new griffins. Their snowy white fur clashing with the dark tan sand. "Hello to you as well. My name is Frost, and this is my mate Autum." The hatchling jumped up and down happily. "My names Sheldon!!" Autum shook her head and smiled. "We're the snow family that live sin these parts. You'll find other families such as he fire down that way." She said pointing with her wing to the East. "And the earthen tribe lives out on a large island in the ocean." Sheldon jumped in. "Their a tribe not a family since the erathen group can be broken down into smaller families!" Autum picke dup Sheldon and put him in the snad. "Go out and take a swim or somthing and leave us to talk please." Sheldon sighed but did so diveing in the water.

Frost nodded. "Just be prepared for a rude awakening, their not as friendly somtimes as we are." He turned around and spread his wings. Autum watched him fly back up to the den. "What he meant by that is that our familes don't get along with eachother. If you don't want to fly anyfarther then you must you can stay with us for as long as needed." With that she let out a mother's cooing sound and Sheldon popped out of the water, ice hanging from his wings. He ran over to his mother shakeing off the ice. He jumped onto her back and she smiled running up the hill and into the woods to go and lay with Sheldon.

Aerion jumped down form his rock stepping in front of April. The sisters laughed. "You don't even send the slightest shudder down our spines Aerion." April was surprised they knew his name, her sisters saw April's face and laughe dagain. "Oh yes, you talk way too much in your sleep little sister." April growled and Aerion took a step forward. The sisters growled back. "Your not challenging us are you?" Aerion took another step forward ready to defend his domain and April. One of the sisters growled and ran forward ready to attack. Aerion threw his wings open and the water behind her came up and crashed down on her creating an unbreakable bubble. "Get out of my cave and stay out." He said in a warning screech. The other sister growled and ran after Aerion while he was busy with her sister. "Release her now!" She said and she flicked frozen fetahers at him form her tail. He got hit dead on with one of them in the neck. He doubled over in pain the bubble breaking. April screeched and ran at her sisters. She ramed one of them into teh water and chased her to teh surface, while the other oen followed. They broke the surface and the water that shot into the air froze. April bit her sister's neck and pushed her away from her.

April schreeched as her sister flew back at her biteing deep into her flank. "April, just because you think your old enough to love doesn't mena you are!" She said as APril fell to the water, she looked up at her sister with great hate as the water under her talons froze. The spots lurched up and gave her pillars to stand on. "You need to face the facts. I've matured older then you have and will pass on the blood line before you will!" WIth this April flung open her wings, down in the cave Aerion's body glowed as APril's did. Their bond was growing stronger every day. Aerion lifted his head in time to see the white griffin bring back it's talons ready to strick the final blow. But he disappeard just in time and reappeard on April's back, weighing her down greatly. She growled as the sudden weight cracked the pillars. She launched into the air and landed on the sand. She ran to the bottom of the den and looked at Artimis. She smiled at him before shrugging Aerion off. "Sorry if this seems like we're a rough family, but my sisters are always ready for a fight." She said glaring back at them, the other one had come back to teh surface. They clanked their beaks angrly.

Frost came out, barely botherd by the fighing. He was shocked though to see APril standing infront of a wounded griffin and protecting him. "What is this?" He asked with a hint of annoyence in his voice. He dropped down createing a cloud of sand around him. All three sisters looked at him, all with differnt emotions.

Autum poked her head out of the trees, Sheldon on her head. She normaly stayed out of disputes and let Frost handle them.

Frost smiled nodding. He looke dup at his daughters and jumepd into teh air wings catching a gust of wind. April was about to fly at her sisters knocking them back into the wtaer when her wings became coverd wih ice and so did her sisters. They all fell form the sky into the water. Frost was hoovering above them, the sisters floating angrly in the water. "daddy let me go!" April was very upset and just wnated to be next to Aerion. Frost shook his head, he seemed calm and uderstanding but was very upset and wanted to put them in their places. He looked down at April first. "April, Autum and i will talk with you seperatly." He said and with that an ice ball surrounded April and she sunk down, her face was filled with anger as it disappeard under the surface. The sisters looked at one another happily and with worry. "And you two, a fight did not need to break out. Now next time you deal with it the way I told you to." He said and the ice shatterd and they flew off talking to eachother. Frost sighed and landed next to Atimis smiling. "Family huh? Well, we might be one with quakes every now and then but you can stay with us for as long as you need. Just call and one of us will come and see what you need. We eat at Larn." With that he disappeard in a flurry of snow.

*Larn= When the sky is lite ornage at sun set.*

artimis woke up with a yawn "ahhhhh...mmm that was a giid sleep"
