Deet sighed as he took a seat on a wooden bench in the middle of the park, as a small yellow and black baby slept in his carriage with the ear of a mouse plush toy in his ear. Deet had taken a liking to the little guy, hell, he loved the scaly little thing, but there was just one problem: he had no idea what it was!
He stared up at the sky, watching a cloud go past, as he thought about it: He had taken Nihilo to the doctor, a friend who specilized in demons, and even had one of his smarter clients take a peek at the boy. And while the doctor said he was healthy, they all said the same thing: "I have no idea what the hell that thing is".
Deet knew what it was to an extent: It was his child. However, Deet was a werecat, his girlfriend was a Demoness Tiger, and his sister was a human. So what was his son?
"A were-snake?...He's not a demon, thats for sure...Ain't a human..." Deet murmured to himself.

Yukito found himself with a rare and well liked day off from... well it would seem everything. The Boss had come in today to the shop and said he had some things to do so he and his brother had gotten to take the day off while the Boss did his work. It was strange that the man didn't want their help but he wasn't going to complain. What he'd like to complain about was the fact that his brother told him that he needed to get some fresh air and time to himself. Time where he wasn't either studying or working and promptly locked him out of their apartment to encourage him to get out.
So he'd set out without a set destination in mind which ended up with him at the park. It would have been better to explore the park when the season was one that prompted plant growth. As it was the trees were all dormant and the other plants were gone. No collecting of herbs for him today so he was going to have to find something else to fill his time.
The park seemed to be a bit empty today, not many people. He scanned the area, spotting a man with a carriage on a bench, a couple kids on the playground, and a few ladies doing the jogging around the park thing. He tilted his head to the side, tail swishing back and forth as he tried to decide what he should do. A big part of him was tempted to go and make use of one of the swings, it had been forever since he'd been able to just... play. He was to old of play he thought but even as he was thinking it he was drifting towards the swings.
As he made his way in that direction he found himself passing by the man and the baby. He paused a moment to take a peek, having a weakness for little kids. They were always so nice and cute, never judgmental. This little one was definitely among the cute ones... though he had that familiar feel to him like Megan did which gave the white dragon pause. He was sure he'd never run across them before though.

Deet finally came back to reality, looking up at the white-haired young man. He was still a teenager, and Deet wasn't getting any negative vibes from him. "'ello." Deet said, waving slightly as a show of good tidings.
He looked over him and...Wow. He looked almost as weird as Nihilo. Almost. "You can, um, hold him if you'd like?" Deet said. He wasn't sure HOW to respond to be people being interested in his child other than OHMAHGAWDITHASSCALES!

Yukito blinked when he realized that he'd been starring and hadn't even given so much as a greeting. He was happy to see that the man had merely greeted him though instead of taking some sort of offense. He gave a smile then responded with, "Hello."
The dragon's tail set to swishing again as the man said that he could hold the baby. Surprising since they'd just met but he nodded his head none the less, "Can I really? I'd like that." He said in delight, it had been a while since he'd gotten to hold a little one, "Are you sure though, I don't want to wake him."
As much as he liked the idea of getting to hold the baby he felt guilty at the idea that he might wake him from whatever good dreams he might be having.

"No, I'm pretty sure he's out like a light. He can be fussy, but when he sleeps, he tends to sleep hard." the hefty cat-man chuckled, looking at the snake infant still happily chewing on the rat plush toy's ear.
"To be honest...I'm just, uh, kinda glad some one else find him, y'know, cute. Most people on the streets think he's some sort of mutant or some thing..." Deet said, trying to smile but failing miserably. Last thing he wanted for this kid, who was now kind of his son, to have a hard life not knowing what he was.

At the man's assurance that the sleeping child wouldn't wake up when picked up Yukito did just that, carefully. He was glad that he had a little sister and niece that he'd been able to practice on when it came to the art of holding little ones, "I'm surprised nobody else finds him cute, then again I have been around my fair share of little ones in my time and not all of them were normal human babies." He said, his tail swishing again in delight, "My name is Yukito by the way." Deciding he should introduce himself since they were talking and he was holding the man's child.

"Name's Deet." the older man said cheerfully to the odd looking teenager. He was a good kid. A little odd, yes, but then again most people on Gaia were just a wee bit off. "And the little guy there is Nihilo." Deet explained.
The small creature sensed he wasn't in his carriage, and woke up slowly. He was greeted with, instead of the pudgy face of the one who took care of him, a slim pale face with pointed ears. "...Bah!" he exclaimed happily.

"Its is nice to meet the two of you." He said, looking down at the snake boy as he woke up, "Hello there little one, did you have a nice dream?" He asked then swished his tail back and forth as he watched the boy smile.
He found himself for a moment distracted by what the boy was wrapped in before he gave a bit of a grin, "Cute blanket, I have one just like it did you get it from Chaco?" He asked of Nihilo as if the child could answer before he gave a little grin. The colorful blankets with the marking of the element the Sin'aeis were made of were a gift from Chaco. Then again he could be mistaken, it could just me a blanket with a snake on it he realized a moment after he words escaped him.

"...Cha-who? W-Wait, you know some thing about where this little guy came from? O-Or what he is?!" Deet asked excitedly, getting to his feet, realizing that he towered over the teenager. ...Hope I don't intimidate the poor fella. Deet thought nervously.
"Gew!" the infant said, reaching out to grab one of the pointed ears of this new stranger that he had taken a liking too.

Yukito took a step back before he realized that Deet didn't seem at all angry instead he was rather excited, "Maybe, I mean I might just be guessing but if he came with this blanket theres a good chance that he is the same thing as I am." There was no physical similarity between the Sin'aeis they did share something, the fact that they all came from the same place. It was the blanket and that feeling of familiarity that made him believe that Nihilo was a Sin'aeis.
He looked up, up, up at him and his eyes widened a bit. Wow, he seemed quite huge when he was standing up. Then again Yukito was rather short for his age having reach five foot five inches and seemed to be getting no taller since last time he checked, "Best way be certain would be to contact Chaco, he is the first of us."
The white dragon lifted up his tail, swishing it so that Nihilo could reach it instead of what he was grasping at. While the snake boy was small he would rather him play with the tail since it was used to being loved on by kids. It was a magnet after all for some reason, though he'd yet to figure out what exactly they liked about it. Maybe the movement?

"Baah!" Nihilo gasped, victoriously grabbing the white dragon's tail. He was liking this white-haired thing more and more: It had a tail like his dad's, but he didn't get all flustered and upset when you grabbed it! And his suspicions were correct: Kids only liked it 'cause it moved around a lot.
"Chaco, huh? Do you know how I can get in contact with this guy? And you said he was one of you...Um, uh," How to word this... "What are you?" Okay. Not like that would've worked.

The dragon wiggled his tail a little though not hard enough to risk any harm to the little one or to take his tail away. It was just enough movement to make the tail a funner game for the little snake boy.
"If you have a piece of paper I could write down the address for where he resides. The mansion is open to visitors so you need only go there and seek him out." Yukito gave a little chuckle at the man's question, "We are a group called Sin'aeis. Things must be different then when I was little, Protectors like you used to go there to meet Chaco and he would hand the little ones over and tell you a little about them. How did you come across Nihilo?"

"Sin...Aeis." Deet repeated, nodding slowly. Okay, so Nihilo was a Sin'Aeis...It wasn't much, but at least now he was fairly certain that his kid wasn't some sort of space being. He already had one of those, and wasn't sure if he could handle two. Then the boy brought up how Deet FOUND Nihilo. Well, this was gonna be easy.
"O-Oh! Um, well...Its kind of like a bad movie...He was just...On my door-step with a blanket. No note, no nothin'. I just couldn't leave him there..." Deet admitted, looking at the yellow-scaled child warmly.

Yukito's eyes went rather wide, "On your door step?" He repeated the words and seemed to be a little surprised by them. So the little ones were being left on door steps now? He looked down at Nihilo then over to Deet before deciding that the snake boy had ended up with a good Protector so he shouldn't worry, surely Chaco didn't leave them at random. He must have a reason for leaving them with the people he left them with.
"I see. Well I am glad he was left with someone caring to be his Protector." He said, Nihilo seemed happy and well taken care of. He could only hope the same applied for the others.

Deet chuckled. He was begining to like this kid, and not just for complimenting his parenting skills, and at the very least he seemed nice. Plus, if Nihilo liked him. That was good enough for the large cat man!
"Oh, I still need that adress..." Deet mumbled, digging through his pockets and finding an old fast-food receipt and a small ball-point pen.
