Seika sauntered across the meadow in a forest, her eyes fixed on the ground in front of her. Her tail flicked back and forth and her claws scuffed up the ground. She yawned, her tongue rolling out of her mouth lazily. She was bored beyond belief.

Bored wasn't a word Seriozha understood. Even on his own, he found ways to entertain himself. After all, life was only what one made it. And he made it interesting. A big grin sat on his maw as his slender tail swayed back and forth to a tune in his head. Trees passed by and he graced them with a look. Chocolate eyes admired the strength and longevity of trees. Many of them here had probably been around longer than the other inhabitants and he respected that. Stopping momentarily to stretch, he peered around. More light than usual filtered in from just ahead. Curiosity had him heading towards it. The meadow came into view and his grin widened. His horned-head bobbed as he shut his eyes and enjoyed the feeling for a time before bounding out.

Seika's head turned at the sound of something rustling in the tree line bordering the meadow. Her red-orange eyes narrowed, and she crouched low to the ground, her tail flicking back and forth with agitation. A growl emitted from the bottom of her throat. Now what the Hell could possibly be so blunt as to not make the slightest effort to camouflage their movements in the cover of the forest. Her red horns glinted in the sunlight, her razor sharp claws tapping the grass-covered ground. Whoever this was, if it was a foe, he was going to wake up with scars in the morning.

Unaware that he wasn't alone, Seriozha continued through the meadow. It wasn't in his nature to worry about predators or enemies, so he had no idea that he was being watched by an untrusting soul. At least not until he heard something. Ears perked and he stopped, looking around curiously. Now, he was sure he'd heard something, though very faint. Canting his head, he plopped down on his bum, still oblivious to the fact that the sound he'd heard had come from behind him. "Hello~?" The male called out in his naturally friendly (and to some a bit strange) voice. The grass behind him rustled as he tail swayed back and forth.

Seika blinked at the male that burst into the clearing. He seemed ... insane .... But nice at the same time. She straightened herself out from her fighting stance and flicked her ears. "Hello." She replied, walking over to the male. He didn't look like he wanted to hurt her so she assumed a safe approach wouldn't be fatal.

There we go. Now he could tell where the sound had come from. A triumphant grin spread his maw and he turned his head. "Was it you I heard, Lovely?" he questioned, standing and turning to face her fully now. Some might consider him rather forward for the way he greeted others on normal occasions. He considered himself friendly. "It's nice to see you, now. I'm Seriozha." The male's slender tail waved back and forth behind him and he looked a bit expectant. An air of familiarity surrounded this one, but he was too wrapped up in being excited at her appearance to pay it any heed.

Seika smiled back at Seriozha. His scent was oddly . . . familiar. She couldn't put her paw on it though. It seemed like she hadn't smelled this scent in a while, and truthfully, she hadn't. It was oddly similar to her own. She flicked her tail. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Seriozha. I'm Seika."

"Seika," he repeated, committing it to memory. Although it seemed a bit strange, honestly. The excitement seemed to be dying down to a low roar and the male was beginning to think. "Seika, your name sounds awfully familiar." The likelihood that he knew someone else by the same name was rather small, he figured. "Have we met?" Serio laughed sheepishly, raising a paw to bat at his own muzzle. Maybe he'd heard of her from someone else or something. What a silly thing to ask.

Seika's eyes rolled up to look at the sky in though. "Seriozha . . . Hmph . . . I think we actually might have." She chuckled. "Strange as that might sound." Her eyes averted back down to meet his own. It was quite . . . odd. Strange to say the least. He looked -and smelled- familiar. And the name . . . It was starting to ring a soft bell in the back of her head . . .

"Ah?" Seriozha looked relieved at that revelation. "So, I guess I'm not going crazy after all." That was a relief. But then again, it was also an enigma. They both felt the other was familiar and yet neither seemed to be able to put a paw on the reason. "But I wonder why?" He questioned idly, more to the sky than her in particular. It was still out there, though, if she wanted to venture her own guesses. "What about your parents? Maybe siblings?" He really was reaching blindly in the dark. "Maybe we've seen each other through them. Or something." The male's expression was quizzical.

Parents . . . Siblings . . . Seika hadn't really thought much of them since she left. Huh, maybe they were dead. Blinking, she nodded. "I left my parents a long time ago. As for siblings . . ." She shook her head. "I can't remember that far back." She chuckled grimly. "I know I had one . . . Or two. At least one. Orange, black with brownish-orange horns and . . . tail." Seika mentally slapped and beat herself up. Of course . . . She smiled slightly. "It's nice to see you again, Serio . . ."

Seriozha was sure he'd left his parents to find adventure. Or something of the sort. He honestly couldn't remember the actual reason. Ah well, he supposed it didn't matter much anymore. They had given him life and the ability to roam. He was grateful and took the opportunity. Eyes blinked slowly as she spoke, slowly explaining what she remembered. His expression remained curious for a few moments after she finished completely. It seemed he didn't know his own coat very well. But as he slowly came to the same conclusion, he remember the flash of her bright coat and how he maybe envied her a little because she'd inherited such an interesting coloration over the simple one he had. "My sister. I don't believe it." The male let out a laugh, unsure how else to respond. "It's wonderful, yes! It's been so long."

Seika laughed. "Indeed it has. How long ago did you leave mum and dad, and are they still around?" She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. Her long tail started wagging and her eyes brightened. Wow, it had been a long time since she had felt this much . . . joy.

"It's hard to remember..." he said slowly, eyes narrowing in thought. A sigh left his maw. Okay, maybe it did matter a little. It would be a lie to say he didn't miss them at least a tiny bit. "But it wasn't long enough ago that I've forgotten." Shaking his head, he continued to look thoughtful. "Dad seemed fine when I left. I figure he knew we both had to find our own way. Mom looked upset, though. I don't think she wanted either of us to go." He let out a sheepish laugh, tail swaying across the grass behind him in a semi-guilty manner.
