Kairi had wandered away from the clearing, her thoughts traveling with her. Not feeling very much like a flight this day, she opted for a nice stroll along the ground. Flexing her wings occasionally she swished her tail playfully back and forth. Where had Sora gone she wondered. They had a wonderful time at the beach, and now he just vanished again like the first time back home. Certainly, this day was quite miserable but she was trying to look past that and get a breath of fresh air.
Stopping in her walk she looked around as her pendent swung back and forth hanging from her neck. She was sure her ears captured the sound of something, perhaps another soquili possibly. Smiling she waited paitiently and wondered who it might be.
Stitch decided to tag along with Kairi, for since the Cynder attack he was generally scared to be alone by himself. He hoped with another soquili Cynder wouldn't find herself so bold to simply waltz out and try to eat him again, or he hoped it anyway. Wishful thinking for a ferret but he still felt safer this way near Kairi's heels.
Looking upward at her he sat on two hind legs much like that of a prariedog, "Kairi hear something?" he asked twitching his ears and nose rapidly. It smelled like another Soquili, not a kalona that made him breathe easier.

 Pausing he dipped his head, nosing through the brush that covered the ground. He hadn't explored this area yet and the faint scent trails of new and strange Soquili still clung in places. Cloud was a perpetual wanderer. He followed where ever his hooves led him. As such it probably shouldn't have been any surprise at all that he found himself wandering along an unfamiliar path. A sound reached his ears, that of soft voices just out of sight. Lifting his head, blue ears pricked forwards, he tried to peer through the leafy screen in front of him. It certainly sounded safe, soft sweet female voices. Not some blood-hungry stallion on steroids... He had certainly had his fill of over protective males in his life already. Curiosity piqued, he started forwards, heavily feathered hooves brushing through the leaf litter as his blue form wove through the trees towards the voices.

Kairi's eyes caught sight of a tall stallion whose coat was as blue as the ocean where depths were immeasurable. He carried a white underbelly and chest with a symbol of rain falling beneath it. Curiosity piqued her to smile and whinny to get his attention. "Hello there," she called with a nod of her head.
Stitch looked at the stallion's height and froze, till he realized it wasn't the psychotic she dragon of fire and brimstone. Relieved he relaxed a bit but still stayed by Kairi's forelegs to avoid being eaten of stomped.
Kairi looked downward at the spooked little ferret taking note how his fur was standing on end more than usual. "Hey down there. Stitch I don't think he's going to try and eat you...relax."
Lifting her head she nodded to the other, a bright look about her held with serenity.

The sudden, friendly whinny certainly did its job, blue head shot up as steel grey eyes the colour of the sky during a thunderstorm swept over the pair.
Cloud, encouraged by the call, pushed through the last bush and trotted over to the mare and her friend. Dropping to a halt a few paces away he chuffed softly in reply, ears pricked and neck arched curiously. "Greetings." He replied, smiling before the ferret's actions caught his eye.
Dropping his head he huffed softly, tilting his head to the side to smile at the little creature. "Hello to you also. Don't worry, I’m completely harmless." He grinned in a friendly manner, short tail flicking absently behind him.

Stitch watched the stallion as his little paws braced themselves amongst the mare's legs. Even if this stallion wasn't kalona influenced he still had teeth that could bite anyway. Wavering he gulped and nodded pulling back his ears slowly cringing downward.
Kairi leaned her head down to look at Stitch with a nuzzle following directly after. Remembering her company she raised her head and nodded to the friendly blue stallion. "Stitch will be alright... he's just been through a trauma that makes him think now before he acts." she smiled glancing downward at the ferret now and then.
"Oh where are my manners, "she smiled with a toss of her head, "I'm Kairi and this of course is Stitch. Are you new here... Oh if I may ask what is your name please?" she smiled with a flick of her tail as it brushed along the ground.

Chuckling warmly at the mare's comment about her friend he nodded and lifted his head back up, not wanting to make the little critter any more nervous than he already was.
"A please to meet you Kairi, Stitch.." He gave the ferret a nod of greeting before returning his gaze to the female. "I’m Cloud, and you are right. I’m new around here." He smiled in a friendly manner, seeming not at all worried about her question or his status as a stranger in the land.
"I’m just wandering around, seeing what I can of the world before I get too old to do so." He chuckled easily. "How about you? You local around here?"

Stitch grinned yet clung to her lower leg like a vice grip. His ears twitched with much panic as his nose sniffed for any sign the dragon had or was returning.
"Scary dragon... scary dragon," he bunched closer puffing his fur out around him to hide. He wasn't sure of anything anymore yet he knew clinging to the winged mare was much more protection than even any other could offer for him. He rather liked it that way.
"To old?, " this she had to respond back with a soft smile, "You can never be too old if your heart lies where it should. I have to remind Sora about that sometimes." she grinned thinking of her best friend and where he might have wandered off to.
"Actually, I arrived here in the late summer last year myself along with Stitch. It took awhile but I think I've learned where most things are. Though this place is so vast there's still miles I've not gazed upon." she nodded glancing down at Stitch from time to time.
"I was invited to stay in the lower clearing where the ice mare Celendria is residing. She's really nice and watches out for all the soquili living there."
Kairi smiled as she swished her tail playfully wondering what he was seeking, or if she could help him uncover it. She always was one for "helping others" when need be.

Deciding to leave the ferret alone rather than try to reassure it and only scare it further, he kept his concentration on the little mare. Ears pricked forwards politely. Chuckling at her comment he dipped his head in agreement. "I suppose you are right, but it is far easier to travail on young legs than old ones. I hope to be settled down with a beautiful mate by the time I’m old.. mm.. and a nice big family would be a bonus too.. "
Smiling he glanced at her tail as its motion caught his eye before looking along the path. "I haven't met this Celendria, I’ve not seen too many of our kind thus far, but I’ve not been here long. I’m just roaming around right now, no real destination in mind though Id like to go see the Kawani village at some point. ‘ heard of the two-leggers there... "

Kairi mused and nodded listening to this new stallion. A beautiful mare she pondered to herself lightly. So many of the others she seen were so much beautiful than she was, but that was a mare's opinion of course.
"Well there are a ton of mates floating about in this region. Wings, horns, shining, dull... you name it with others that come and go. As for Celendria she's the elder that watches over the others where I tend to stay most nights. She's kind and caring and even stuck up for this little guy here when faced off with that kalona dragon."
Kairi smiled with a swish of her tail looking toward the area known as the Kawani village.
"Most two leggers are really friendly and offer scrumptious treats. Our kind is something like a dream to them, so they treat you with respect and honor. If you like I can take you down to the village. I'm not really busy and Stitch won't mind tagging along will you Stitch?"
The ferret blinked up at her and then to the stallion and nodded. "Stitch want something eats Kairi. Treat for Stitch please?' he chittered happily bobbing his head to them both. He was a bit more at ease but trust was something the little ferret didn't hold too well anymore.

Cloud listened silently, head bobbing on occasion as he listened. When she looked away towards some distant place, he couldn’t help but follow her gaze, though he obviously couldn’t see what she was thinking of.
Looking back as she offered to show him the two-legger he smiled brightly, head nodding. “Id very much enjoy seeing that place, as long as you are happy to put up with one such as me. I’ve not met one of them before. Though they sound pretty fun in the few stories I’ve heard.”
The little ferret’s voice caught his attention and he looked down, grinning. “Sounds like a good idea to me…” He agreed with a smile.

Stitch of course was hungry so heading to the two-legger village meant a little food raid wasn't half bad. Just no dragons or ferocious beasts he prayed were lingering about ready to burn and eat him. Looking anxiously upward at Kairi we waited for her to agree and head off. "Sooner...better," he muttered to himself.
Kairi smiled sweetly wisping her wings in a stretch before speaking once more, "Alright then its right over that hill, not far at all."
She noticed both the stallion and ferret's eagerness and giggled softly to herself before beginning to walk forward knowing the other two would follow.
Moving forward she soon came upon the village and all the motion the strange two-leggers had to offer. Cooking fires with delicious treats, children running here and there, and of course some of those strange pale skinned ones talking or playing games with the natives. It was always a treat to arrive in the village, for someone always offered a treat to the serene winged mare whom thought she was indeed from another place, another time.
"Well here we are. I'm sure we'll get offered treats and what not here. Ready when you are." she nodded with a shimmer to her eyes. It was always good to meet others and show them around making the strange mare feel more wanted and useful.

Cloud grinned at the little ferret's comment, grey eyes sparkling with excitment himself like an over grown foal. As the gracious mare moved forwards, Cloud walked out along side her, his head up and ears pricked, obviously eager to be going to see the two-legger village. His long legs strode out easily, a wanderer by nature his body had developed for travail. Muscled and fit the stallion didn't lack power, lean rather than bulky like some. It made him look youthful, which was mostly the truth.
Blue ears flickered as he caught faint trails of sound the closer they got. As they crested the hill he stopped short, grey eyes widening at the sight laid out before him. A wide grin spread over his muzzle as he stared down on the sprawling village. Weird triangular mini-mountains thrust up out of the earth, with the two-leggers going in and out of them apparently without harm. Mini two-leggers rushed about making high squeeking noises that vaguely hurt his sensative ears but he was too enthralled for it to bother him. Short tail flicked, held out from blue haunches as he took a step towards the strange settlement.
"What are those.... " He snorted, not knowing what to call the mini-mountain things that the two-leggers kept walking into and vanishing.

Kairi watched the daily routine feeling the peacefulness of the villagers as they went about their business. It was odd at first to meet one of them but after she got to meet Tirranna she was much more confident around the two legged people. She learned to trust them and help out as much as she could for Celendria if she simply needed something.
"Oh those... I think they're called teepees. At Least that's what I've head the girl say that takes care of the herd. Celendria is the leader, but Tirranna is our caretaker." she nodded looking down at Stitch which was eying up some fresh baked pies.
"Stitch... you know better look what happened last time you stole something, "she scolded with a sigh, "Please don't bring a dragon back with you this time. I don't think Cloud or I could handle that. Think before you act". She then smiled and looked over to Cloud. "Want to go closer and see things with a better view? I'm sure the people here wouldn't mind some company."
Stitch looked up at Kairi with apologetic eyes though he was planning another raid as usual. It must of been the ferret in him that caused the little blue thief to ponder such naughty things as he started slinking off away from the two soquili.

Cloud was transfixed by the sight of it all. The smoke raising in puffs, the bright crackle of fire that made his coat prickle in warning, yet his eyes told him that it was safe. For were not the two-leggers sitting around it making happy noises?
Shifting his weight, muscles flowing under sapphire coat, he arched his neck, nostrils flared wide at the strange scents that came to them, a crazy mix of common things like wood and grass, and new sweet and musty smells that he couldn't put a name to. One slender blue ear flicked to his companion before slowly his head turned, though his gaze lingered on the camp before finally moving back to Kairi.
"Tee-pee-s?" He replied, testing the word on his tongue. He glanced down as the ferret started to slink away, chuckling softly. "Yes please, no dragons. I am just a simple vagabond and not up to facing one of those." He grinned playfully at Kairi before looking back at the village, short blue tail swishing with excitement. "Can we? Its safe yes..?" He wasn't so much worried about his safety, but that of the two-leggers. they looks so.. fragile.. running around on two legs rather than as they should on four. What if he stepped on one!?
