How about a game where we enter the first word that comes to mind as we talk about our children or what it is like to be parents?

For instance:

Sweet (children)

Naughty

Nice

etc.

I will start with labor pains! rofl

watchful.

It seems with children you are constantly alert for the next "boo-boo"!

humbling - it is a real challenge to try to "set the example" all the time for your children and quite often I am reminded that I come up short!

I love that picture (I already said that, didn't I? redface )

Here I am at 51 and my mother still has a half dozen of my artistic tries from elementary school! I like the Art response - I hadn't thought of those in years!

Art reminds me of messes. My kids left playdoh in the carpets, fingerprints on the wall paint (from finger paints), crayons in the laundry, etc.! And a ton of wonderful memories I wouldn't trade for a consistently spotless house!

i try to stick with the mess free stuff they have so many now! i got my son the digital arts and crafts studio for christmas and the color wonder art sets. he still has a thing for real markers though lol i even had crayon melted into my car seat. it was a leased car too sad

cake - On Jen's first birthday I made a really special Elephant cake with all sorts of pretty stuff on it and one for her to dig into (which is my husband's side of the family tradition). She just kept looking at it after we had put her cake on her tray until my husband put (mashed gently) Jen's hands into the cake. She took them out of the cake, held them away from her, and started crying! (My second child dug into the butterfly one we made for her) Now I am telling tales out of school - huh, Jen?
