The battlefield randomizer that towered above the stands began to spin. As it gained speed, the tension in the air gained intensity. Finally, it slowed. This battle, the field would be...
THE ELECTRIC FIELD!!
The field is completely flat; no bumps or hills can be located. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field on each side are six electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These create a static discharge across the field and in the air itself for one reason: a metal piping that outlines the edges of the field floats several feet above the towers themselves, held up by the discharge. During the battle, the piping can release lightning at random points on the field due to the amount of buildup them possess. This ensures that your pokemon stay moving during throughout the entire battle.

Renekai, on her side of the field, tossed Bell's Pokéball carelessly into the air. Bell burst out of it with a long, "Deeeelll!!" Bell was ready for battle! Renekai managed to look smug and confident, much like the obvious winner, until Bell's wing whapped her sharply on the head. Ow. "Bell! What was that for?" Renekai demanded as she rubbed her head. Her eyes swam. "Is this for putting you in that Pokéball? Sheesh..."
After giving her trainer a lesson, Bell flew to her spot on the battle field. Great. Electric. That's get her feathers all bent out of shape! As if she didn't have to preen enough without all this static...
Renekai spotted the other trainer. "Hi, there!" she called. "Good luck! Bell's got an awful temper, you know." Renekai gave a wide wink and laughed as Bell whirled around to glare at her trainer. "Can't take a joke, Bell?" Renekai taunted. Renekai could only hope that Bell would keep her temper under control in this battle.

Choppi gripped Prince's pokeball for a moment, surveying the arena. So dangerous for a flight pokemon! Bell was flying about the stadium, and this was a pokemon she wasn't familiar with. Enlarging the pokeball she gave the top a small kiss before thowing it into an upwards arc into the battle area. "Go Prince! Please fight with me!"
"Pigeoooo!" he called as the ball bounced back and returned to Choppi's shaking hands. "Please be safe." She whispered to him under her breath.
"Eeeeooooo." He murmured to himself in annoyance, an inexperienced trainer commanding him in an electric field. Against another flying Pokemon no doubt. This would be interesting. He beat his powerful wings just to show off and try to intimidate Bell.
"Let's both do our best~!" Choppi waved to the other trainer with a smile.

Choppi looked to the field and then to Bell. She decided to test this pokemon's abilites first. "Prince, QuickAttack!" She called out, pointing to the Delibird fluttering about. Prince hesitated in a lazy move, not wanting to be the first to attack.
"Quick Attack!" Choppi called again. "Please Prince!" Glancing at her from over his shoulder, he flapped his wings deeply before starting a sharp dive to tear at Bell's wings with he talons. Choppi deeply hoped for the stadium to leave him be and let the attack connect.

Bell heard the trainer pleading with Prince. Well, if they were going to make it that obvious... Bell pretended to not hear until Prince was charging at her. In one fluid movement, Bell fell a few feet until she was directly under Prince. Not waiting for Renekai's order, she swooped up at the other bird Pokémon with her own Quick Attack.
Renekai rolled her eyes at her rebellious Delibird. Obviously Renekai needed to train Bell better to get her to wait for orders. Although... She was pretty good about choosing her own attacks. Renekai decided to let this one slide... But Bell had better start following orders!

Feathers flew across the air and upon landing on the staduim floor were zapped up to cinders."Ah!" Choppi's face flushed a bit in horror. Prince recoiled from the attack with a sharp glare to her. "I'm sorry Prince." She whispered.
Gritting her teeth she thought of something interesting. "Prince, Sand Attack! Go for it!" She called out, hopeing for the best.
Prince seemingly shrugged it off, now more angry at Bell than her. She was willing to try to back him up as best she could. The loose sand from his wings splattered into Bell with a mild blinding effect, however the dry sand drew up zaps of electrisity out into the fray surrounding Bell.
"Please work!" Choppi gripped her hands together nervously.

Bell dropped another few feet as the sand zapped her. For a moment, Bell couldn't move. Sand, everywhere. Her eyes, her wings, her feathers, even her feet. Covered in sand that was electricity-charged! Bell caught herself in time to drift to the floor. Feet planted firmly on the ground, Bell tried to think of what to do next. Suddenly Bell started running around. This wasn't an attack, but her feathers had started to rise, warning the Delibird that another shock was on its way. She had to keep moving or be electricuted.
"Good, Bell!" Renekai smiled. "Now you're thinking! Try an Ice Beam."
Bell gave a sharp nod and stopped running for a moment. She shot a small, but powerful, beam of bright blue ice to freeze Prince. As soon as the beam was on its way, Bell flew into the air again to avoid any excess static from the floor.

"Dodge it Prince!" Choppi called and traced through the air the moving Ice Beam. The electricial discharge followed it gracefully through the air. Bell had aimed well, but Prince was faster.
"Pigeoooo!" He chirped in an approving tone as the beam shot harmlessly past him. His wings beat stronger as his confidence grew with this small victory.
Choppi giggled. "Go Prince!" She clapped her hands together. Next move. Let's throw her off balance!"Whirlwind, Prince!"
"Kurrro!" He nodded in the midst of a flap. His wings beat together in powerful movements so precise that it stirred together a small twister on the arena. It circled back and then headed for Bell, in a menacing move.

Bell was knocked unbalanced as the whirlwind swept by. She struggled to stay airborne, but a sudden jolt of electricity caught her. Bell was motionless in the air for a moment, her feathers sticking out oddly, until she managed to force herself to remain in the air. Bell glared at Prince.
"It's warm in here with all this electricity!" Renekai shouted, trying to get Bell to understand the hidden order. She wanted Bell to repeat the attack fast enough to catch Prince. Maybe it would work. Bell was smart.
Bell didn't get it, however. For a moment Bell turned her head to Renekai, completely at a loss, until she decided what Renekai would order in this situation. Another Ice Beam. Yeah. Despite her will to do physical damage, it'd give her better chances of winning if she could freeze Prince for long enough. "Here, Prince! Catch!" Bell lobbed a bright blue ice ball out of her beak and sent it hutling towards Prince. Hopefully it would catch him off guard!

"No Prince! Lookout!" Choppi leaned far over the battle stage the trainers stood on to reach out for the lended Pokemon. Prince or Choppi couldn't have seen the swift comeback. It seemed that stun was not enough for just a trained pair.
The ice bean connected and hit Prince like a sheet of nails shot though the air. Even his suprised call out was nothing and instantly frozen silent. The form encased solid fell to the electric field. While the prison help him immobile it didn't damage him, and the water just cracked under the heat of the electric pulses on the ground of the stadium.
He'd soon be free, but for now, he was a sitting duck. Choppi gritted her teeth. "Hang in there Prince!" She hissed in worry.

"Not good enough," Renekai said, looking at the quickly melting ice. She shook her head. "Might as well chance another shot. Freeze him to the bone this time, Bell!"
Bell gave an impatient squawk. Her trainer really needed to review those battle tactics! Ice Beam after Ice Beam after Ice Beam after Ice Beam! Sheesh! However, Bell knew that she couldn't ignore a direct order... Here we go...

"Prince....go NOW!" She called out, the cold shell breaking more and more, and with a strong slice of wind shattered open like an egg. "Yeah!" Choppi pumped a fist into the air to back her cheer.
Prince flapped his wings harder and harder gaining height on the ground, as the small gusts knocked the ice shards into the path of the oncomming beam. Sure enough, it was enough of a roadblock to get away, and through the crackling melting ice's hissing, headed back towards the skies.
"Prince, let them know the same old tricks won't work! Wing attack!" Choppi nodded to him, really putting faith into Prince's abilites as a fighter. After a few moments, without a sound the Pidgeot took off deftly towards his target.
