There was a small area in the middle of the mall with brightly colored carpet and a plastic playground in the middle, complete with slides. Large padded blocks in strange shapes were surrounding the playground area, and a small corner had little beads on wire constructions and blocks to play with, as well. It was right next to the food court, so moms could buy their lunch and set down to eat while their kids played.
That was exactly what Missy was doing. They had a lovely salad at one of the food joints, and she was eating happily as Chris explored the playground area. Of course it was a little small for him, since he had grown yet again since the last time they had been there, but he could still fit on the slides and stuff, so he wasn't going to complain. At the moment he was perched on top of one of the large padded blocks shaped like a C, and looking his territory over.

An earsplitting cry sounded up from the block area where a newly destroyed castle lay in shambles. A mother rushed over to tend to the wailing kid and a smirk crept across Keres's face as she replaced her hand in Isaac's, a wooden block clutched in the coils of her serpent's tail.
"Isaac?" the small girl asked in false cuteness.
"Hmm, whut?" the Sven paused in his stride and looked down, a brow raised and tall lapin ears forward in question.
"Caaaan I go in there?" Keres pointed a tawny hand back at the playground thing where the kid was still crying.
Isaac looked from her to the play-area and shrugged. "Sure," he said. keres made to slip out of his hand, but he suddenly pulled her back. "You bet'ur nowt cause any troubul; if yew do, you wohn't participate in ANY mowr tomfoolery, got'ih?
Through her current care-taker's accent, Keres understood fool well what he meant and nodded her head vigorously. When he released her hand she bolted, ignoring the "no running" sign and was bee-lining towards the block-area when something dark and large caught her golden eyes.
"CHRIS!"

Chris fell from the top of the C, landing on the bottom with a grunt. It didn't hurt him, but it did startle him a bit. He looked around, searching for the source of the cry and inwardly sighing as he realized it was Keres. The talkative one. She sure talked a lot...
He lifted a hand, waving and giving her a crooked grin in response. But at least there was someone to play with now!
Missy almost choked on her salad as she realized that the little cat girl was yelling for her Chris. Chris actually had a friend? That was great!! She was tempted to call Tyler and tell him all about it!

Standing off to the side away from the play-area, Isaac gave a small snort of some surprise. So, the little brat did have the ability to make a friend... or at least appear to be friendly to somebody. Of course, the mere size of the other child may have been the only prompter for Keres to perhaps behave nicely... Hey, whatever kept her out of trouble was fine with him.
With her smirky smile, Keres padded over to the dark child. "Hi! I didn' think I would see anyone!" she exclaimed when she was just a few feet away. Her golden wings ruffled themselves lightly behind her and she clapped her hands together, the gold bracers on her wrists giving off a sharp clink.
"What're you doing?"

"Playin," he said seriously before he looked up at the top of the C again, then jumped four feet off the ground to grab the top of it and pull himself up again. "Fell down," he added, as if it hadn't been obvious already.
He wondered if she could get up there. But she was a girl, so probably not, he decided.

Golden eyes became roughly the size of saucers as they marveled at Chris's C climbing feat. Keres took a step back to really see "everything" before she quickly looked towards a few of the other tall standing letters. "I can do that!" she commented, her sweet tone becoming harsh and competitive. She had to impress him; he was already too cool and she wanted to be cool too!

"Nuh uh," he said, shaking his head. "You fall down, get hurt." Obviously he didn't get included in that statement, since he had fallen and not been hurt.
Then again, the boy was built like a living tank. So it DIDN'T hurt him. "You girl," he added, as if that was why she was hurt-able. Of course Antony looked like he'd break from a fall too... maybe it was more than just the girl thing?

Keres V-ed her eyebrows and crossed her arms over her chest. "Nuh uh! I can do it. WATCH."
On that note she moved over to the side of the giant E. Her lion body tucked into a balled-up, crouching sit and she tucked in her wings the best she could. With her human and lion chest almost touching the acrylic... fabric of the E, she looked up its spine, unsheathed her four sets of claws, wiggled, then sprung up like a cat.
Her wings shot out to her sides and she latched onto the E with all six appendages and wrapped her serpent tail around it before she began to shimmy up to the top. It was like that time she climbed the palm-tree in her backyard... minus the adults yelling at her from below.
"HAHAHA!" Keres gave a mighty laugh as she stood on the top bar of the conquered letter. She still clutched the thing with her claws, though, and her wings were still spread and her tail was now coiled behind her, BUT SHE MADE IT.
"What nooooow?" she jeered, a small thing she had learned from Rann.

He sat back, impressed, and clapped for her. "Good job," he said with a nod before jumping off of the C and landing on all fours. He shook off the shock and looked around for something else to challenge her with.

Keres crossed her arms again, despite the applause she had gotten, when Chris jumped back onto the ground. But... but.. SHE JUST GOT UP! Couldn't they just chill for a minute?
"Now what?" she asked, a tinge of annoyance sliding through her question. How the HELL was she going to get down? Unlike most, she wasn't the best at dismounting; that palm tree descent had been anything but fun. And that time she got stuck on the monkey-bars? Ha. no.

He blinked at her. "You stuck?" he asked naively, as if it had never occurred to him that you couldn't get down from someplace you had gotten up to. He sighed, climbing the E easily and perching next to her before looking down.
"I carry you down?" he asked with a reluctant sigh. Girls were so troublesome.

Being the stubborn little cuss that she was, Keres only stuck her nose into the air. "No, I'll get down MYSELF," she snorted in a headstrong fashion.
Un-crossing her arms, she unlatched herself tail and claw and... stopped. "Chriiiiss," she whined, "you're in way." 'Please' was a word that had never registered in the girl's mind as of yet. ... except when she was bribed with something golden and shiny, but Chris had neither.

He sighed, then dropped down so he was hanging from one hand off of the edge. "Is better now?" he called up to her.

"Uhhh...." she peered over the edges of the E and then nodded. "Yuh."
Gingerly Keres started to turn her body around a bit before she lowered her stomach onto the fabric stuff at the spine-side of the E. She turn turned again and dropped her hind legs over the edge, latched into the padding, and then ungracefully shimmied down until her whole body was vertical to the ground. A few more shimmies later and she half-flopped onto the lightly bouncy floor.
Thank God.

He dropped down, then headed for the other parts of the playground, letting the subject of her problem with getting down from heights die. She was hardheaded, but then again, so was Wisp, so he guessed it made sense.
Of course Wisp would have demanded that he get her down... and up, for that matter, so he guessed it was better. Maybe.
