Dexter = Edward!

I was reading a fanfiction (LINK) where they relate Xander (from Buffy) to being Edward and, in the next chapter, where they link Xander (from Buffy) to being Dexter.

Dexter being, if you didn't already know, that show about the guy who's a serial killer but he only kills other bad people because, when he was young, his dad (adopted dad who was a cop) found out about his sociopathic tendencies and gave him a code to live by so that he seems normal and that he won't get caught when he does kill someone.
It's an awesome series and I've only seen 5 episodes.

Anyway.. Reading the fic made me realise.. the guy that plays Dexter (Michael C Hall) kinda fits the description of Edward.

Who agrees?

Kinda. There's a good deal of differences that don't make them fit though. Dexter kills because he 'has' to and he kills only people that 'deserve' it. Edward kills for pleasure and he doesn't much care who he's killing.
