I have to tell her....I have to...

The teal stallion repeated in his mind a hundred fold, pacing back and forth near the hotsprings Amary and he spoke of so long ago it seemed. Life had took a turn for the busiest, as he soon found himself drawn back to his family and discovering he had siblings on the way! Who knew that his parents still had it in them; yet day by day he found himself checking back in on them...and soon enough they were born and hell - before he knew it they were growing up fast! Had he been like that when he was small?

Life had gotten back on track as he felt at ease with the world around him, even after the terrifying news that Marius had foals himself with some mare. It seemed being a daddy put a hamper on their rivalry; but something inside the usually brutish and wild male felt himself jealous of his brother's predicament. If Marius could be a father, why couldn't he? It obviously wasn't a hard ordeal, taking care of little ones. Hell, before yesterday he would have dismissed the ideal but after seeing Eponine....his own lala land sister with foals of her own; it seemed Zevach was the incapable one.

Which turned his own thoughts back to that magenta mare he met with so long ago. Where was she now a days? The one who so easily seduced the anti-love stallion and stole his heart unknowingly? Zevach never would have guessed to find himself a lovesick stallion, but here he was....nearly going mental with the what if's that crossed his mind. What if she'd found someone already? She did speak of being rather promiscuous, but what if....what if it was because she did not listen to her notions of love instead of lust?

Did he even have a hope in hell of catching such a wild and rare beauty as she in the name of love for his own?

He sure as hell hoped so.

So here he waited since the dawn, when now the stars hung overhead and the moon lay directly above...all in hopes that she would pass by as she spoke of coming to these springs often.

Zevach was crazy....but he was also crazy in love.

Trees were beautiful things in small groups, but oh so disgustly oppressive in large clusters. Amary always managed to convinantly forget how much she hated the deep parts of the woods when away, but every time she went back that way she found herself remembering anew just how nasty they were. Thorns everywhere, tangling underbrush ready to trip, trees so thick there was no POSSIBLE way to fly, and everywhere a feeling of heaviness.

However, it was in that region of the woods that she had been born, in that region her mother and brother lived and to that region that she regularly trotted, looking for her fill of family bonding.

Only this time, there had been no family!

Her mother, that wasn't that surprising. After all, wasn't Luca a free spirited mare who liked a good stallion like any other? Really, considering the stories Amary had heard from both parents, it was a wonder Luca had stayed in one place as long as she HAD. No doubt she had just finally gotten hit by the wanderlust again and was off enjoying herself. Amary wasn't worried.

But Leon...THAT was another story. Amary's beloved brother never went anywhere and could always be counted on to show up for their weekly rendesvous...every week but this one. She'd waited and waited and waited, but not a single sign of that purple coat she knew so well.

Optimistically, Amary hoped he'd finally taken her advice about living to heart and was out in the world DOING something, but a small part of her was anxious.

Then again, that might be repressed squeamishness at being so long in the heart of the forest; she felt slimy and completely dull, like a penny that had lost its shine. For that reason, she'd headed north as soon as she'd made up her mind Leon wasn't coming; nothing like a soak in her favorite springs to make herself feel better! For that reason, the mare was quick in her flight, wings carrying her along with dazzling speed towards the moutains and the steam heat she loved.

It was starting to seem that Zevach really was the fool, waiting around for a mere slim chance she might feel like taking a soak tonight. Sure, with the snowy atmosphere the steam was a welcome change as it warmed his fur....but that would make for a tedious trip if flying wasn't an option for the femme fatale, or perhaps she was just preoccupied?

Who knew.

Letting out a curt sigh as his muscles relaxed against the chilled breeze, the stallion figured he would just camp out here for the meantime and enjoy himself. If she wasn't here by noon tomorrow he would simply need to ask around to see if any had seen her....he wasn't used to waiting on someone and in all truths it was a bit irritating. None the less, since it was Amary he had been as patient as his personality would allow...yet even now it was wearing thin.

"Idiot...." He breathed to himself, shaking his head. He thought back to the other mares and stallions he'd met in the past; recalling a certian mare named Tsuki. Why couldn't he have these feelings for her? Perhaps it was because they were too similar with their lust for battle; he almost wished she was one of his own sisters. Yet no....even then when speaking to her he only found one mare on his mind; so damn much that he had a hard time NOT thinking about her.

Why did he have to be a sucker for love?

"Might as well enjoy..." Zevach shrugged his shoulders, walking over and slowly submerging his weary body into the hotsprings as he could almost literally feel his worries and aches melt away in the heat. Sinking down till just his braids and face remain above the surface, he began to wonder why he'd never come here erlier! It was really fantastic....so.....calming.

Flying rapidly on wings of anticipation, Amary covered the distance between the forest and the mountain range with what seemed to be super-Soquili speed. Or perhaps it was just the desire to soak, coupled with a complete and utter lack of her usual aerial acrobatics. Normally she loved to fly...

But tonight, she only wanted to soak, soak away the feeling or darkness and anxiety amidst soothing minerals and the restoration of her coat's glossy, healthy lustre. Even thinking of it made her smile! Or maybe that was just the wind in her face.

Either way, before she'd had a lot of time to think about it, Amary was greeted by the familiar sight of steam rising into the night. It was so pretty, she could almost forgive the fact that it was partly concealed by trees. Evil trees, following her around. Granted, without them there would be a great deal less privacy in the world...

Best to think about such things later, she supposed. Right now, she was so preoccupied that even her thoughts made nonsense! Giggling at that realization, Amary pulled in her wings and went into a graceful dive, angling her way down alongside the warm steam cloud to finally alight on the rocky ground at the spring's side. This wouldbe so nice and relaxinf and theraputic; washing away the cares of reality with a blissful retreat. All she needed was an active stallion to share it with, and it'd be perfect!

But a bath alone was pretty nice too, she mused to herself as she stood with her profile to the spring, little realizing that someone else had had the same idea...and was already there!

Snapping out of his relaxed trance the teal stallion's ears perked to listen to the clip clop of hooves against the wet rocks around the springs. With slow movements he turned his head about to not dirturb the water too much to alert whomever or whatever was going to accompany him. The rising mist into the cool night air made spotting a figure most difficult but with a bit of snail like manuvering he could see a figure, squinting his eyes as he edged closer and closer.

Crap....if that was a damn stallion wanting to come bathe with him they would be s**t out of luck....or would just have to wait untill he was damn well ready to leave.

Softly a breeze picked up and tossed some of the curling steam aside when his eyes caught a glimps of magenta. No...dare his eyes be deceiving him so? That couldn't be Amary, could it?

Feeling his heart seize up tightly in his chest as the swarm of butterflies upset his stomach, Zevach swam to the shallower section of the springs and stood up to have the steam rise up like smoke and the water pour off his figure. Did his waiting finally pay off, and he was now confronted by his winged goddess?

There was only one way to find out. Clearing his through loud enough that she would be able to hear, he allowed his fluid deep vocals call out to the mare.

"Amary...?"

In one sense, it was wildly startling to discover that one was not alone when one had thought one was alone; however, for Amary it made perfect sense that she have company. Having company was such a nice state of affairs, after all, and for said company to be a dashing and energetic stallion exactly as she'd hoped, well...why waste time being startled!

"Last time I checked, Sweetie. Or do you know many other mares as amazingly beautifully magenta as me? Granted, I know I look terrible right now, so perhaps my disheveled appearance has thrown you for a loop?"

Or it could just be that he'd been in the water so long he had steam vision, whichever. However, now that he'd come closer, she could see HIM just fine; even without hearing his voice, she'd have recognized those braids and that beautiful teal coat. "I see you've taken a liking to my hot spring, Zevvie...or are you still uncertain yet?"

Sometimes, it took a while for Soquili to adjust to having company after a long time on their own. Some others needed time to figure out who their company was and what sort of behavior was proper, especially if it was someone they'd only met once and that one time some time ago.

Not Amary, however. Even a wave in passing made someone a close personal friend of her, and she and Zevach had shared more than a wave. He looked like he'd been doing well with himself, keeping fit and all those pleasant details, and if his presence HERE was any indication, he'd even been good about keeping his word to drop by again. What a nice, thoughtful stallion he was!

Grinning at him through the steam, Amary ran a wing through her curls, tossing them lightly before running those same wings along her coat. She still felt heavy and blah, but if Zevach was any sort of a gentleman he wouldn't notice!

Listening to those angelic vocals once again as her sweet voice dripped with good amusement; Zevach couldn't help the deep hearty chuckle that passed through his grinning lips. That was Amary for you, quick with her tongue; and boy was it an attractive trait to have someone mentally standoffish....even if it was only playful.

"You got me there, Amary. But infact, I know a magenta mare just as beautiful as you...I only see her once and a while...much like now." The stallion walked closer and brushed against her side, giving a nod of his head over to the hotsprings close by where her reflection mirrored in the water. Smirking like a crazed boy, he burst out in a small fit of laughter; but shook his head in all of the partial seriousness he'd gathered for himself in the past minute or two.

"Terrible?" The stallion's ivory brows rose in disbelief, casting a longer than necessary look over the frame of the female before him. "Mmm, that will not do; You shouldn't ever combine terrible and a remark about your stunning beauty in the same sentence. Unless its around the lines of 'she's terribly beautiful...'" Zevach brushed his nose against her bouncy locks and preened a few of the strays back into conformity with the rest of the tipped silken strands.

"Its a strange place, i'll give you that." He commented after, casting his sights back to the steaming and bubbling pools amongst the wet rocky terrain. Of course he'd never had been to any prior, since at the peaks of the mountains lacked these sorts of luxuries which were more common near the bases of the mountain ranges. "Yet...I think i'm starting to, well, warm up to it. Its very relaxing..." The teal stallion sighed out peacefully, casting his ruby eyes back towards his Magenta goddess.
