Nari blinked awake slowly, the day's sun peeking in through her window. She yawned and rubbed at her eyes for a moment, then sat up, stretching. Her mind snapped to reality in an instant, more awake than she had ever been. She threw the blankets off of her and rushed to her feet, looking around. She had nestled the feathers in a basket on the floor beside the bed, with a blanket over them and everything. They'd only gotten them last night, but... Maybe... She bent over and carefully pulled back the cloth, her eyes wide...

Two tiny pups rested on the padded basket. She gasped and put a claw to her maw, tears quickly coming to her eyes. But wait... the third... She looked around, panicing already. "Equis, Equis!! Wake up!!" Her shouts must have startled her young, for a tiny cry came from under the bed... She blinked and peeked under it, and in the shadows was a tiny glowing ball... She reached for it and pulled out her son. More tears came, and she carefully picked up the two girls, looking them over. She wanted to be sure they were healthy... A coffee, a candy, and one... kind of in between. She purred with motherly contentness and sat on the edge of the bed, rocking them back and forth slowly. "Equis... Wake up and say hello to our children..."
