They ******** up the Joker. The only thing that could compel me to go see it is that Batman Begins was out of this world.

X-Legends-Never-Die-X They ******** up the Joker. The only thing that could compel me to go see it is that Batman Begins was out of this world.

I like the Batman movie, and definitely will go see it, but they did mess up the joker. A 13 year old girl's fanfiction is better than this dude.
It seems like they just took the make up (horrible job, btw) and laugh... and threw it in there and called it the Joker. Other than the make-up and laugh, nothing distinguishes him from any other common robber. Where's his circus/carnival henchmen? Vehicles? Poison Gases? Dances? Awesome purple suit? etc etc.
Jack Nichelson will always be the best Joker. <33333333

I'll say it again. It's worse than fanfiction. They took one or two out of the many characteristics that define the Joker and clearly over-emphasized them.
The Joker in this movie seems like most other villians. They get dressed in a costume, wear said mask or said make-up, and go out on the town dicking around.
Where's his insanity? Where's his downward spiral/loss of control?

Come to think of it, Joker seems like RE's Jill Valentine.... you know, completely out of character and thrown in for fan service?

Speaking of fan service, HOMG BAT BIKEZ111I'm amazed that you seem to be making this leap of logic based off of a single trailer... See the makeup? THERE IS HIS INSANITY! Look closely to his face, he has scars on his cheeks that form a smile, the dude hangs out of a cop car window like it's nothing... Have you not watched the trailer or are you put off by Heath Ledger having played a gay guy? Who the ******** do you think the Joker is? Again, watch the first six minutes of the movie, and you will see what you think the joker to be, and then some.

This Joker indeed isn't the classic Joker. But that doesn't mean he's bad. When I pictured joker, he wasn't just a psycho, he had a theme. This guy looks to be a psycho in make-up.
But I'll wait until I see the movie. The could've decided just not to show his jokerness in the trailers for all I know.

I"m sorry, I usually don't come into threads and not discuss the topic like that. I'm must be tired.
I am Legend... Okay... I saw National Treasure 2 right after seeing I Am Legend. I Am Legend plus National Teausure equal what?
Anyway, I was caught by surprise by everything except Will Smith... He did everything I expected him to do. The Infected looked kinda human... This botheres and pleased me at the same time. It bothered because they looked like retards... It pleased me because a "arch-enemy" sort of thing between the "Leader" and Robert could be seen easier. script could have been a wee bit better, but had great execution. I was excited for this movie from two parts I saw from the trailer... The "Let me save you!" part, and the part where he stands calm while an infected stands next to him screaming. If you saw the movie you'll know I was 1/2 disapointed... Actually, make that 3/4 disappointed.

This movie was awesome. Will Smith never fails to impress me. I wish the Darkseekers looked a little more human, though. What's up with the huge mouths and roaring?
And Heath Ledger looks to be an amazing Joker. Clay Mann (comic book artist and personal friend) has said that the first time he saw the Dark Knight trailer he got goosebumps and that it looks like The Joker will probably be one of his favorite all-time movie villains. This from a man who has spent his life on comics.
I'm pretty excited myself.

I thought it was good, but it seems that everyone that has read the book hates it so idk.
It was more startling than i though, it doesn't even apply to the infected humans and stuff in the trailers. but i still thought it was good. Besides scarier=better. The girls lean closer to you XP
