I am keen of the northern mythology!!! But I'm thinking most of people know these myths because of the games as valkyrie profile,FF7,Tales of (series),... and what do you think about northern mythology?? Why do you find these myths is so cool???or not?? explain it!!! whee And for people who don't know whole northern mythology as me here is an usefull Dictionnary!! Mais je pense que la plupart des gens les connaissent par l'intermediaire des jeux comme valkyrie profile et bien d'autres,...
Et vous qu'est ce que vous en pensez de ces mythologies???
pourquoi vous aimez??? ou vous n'aimez pas???
Et pour les gens comme moi qui ne savent pas tout sur ces mythologies nordiques voila un Dictionnaire qui vous sera bien utile!!

Well, I like it more than a little ! I think that's very interesting just like every mythology.
That one has something like a melancholy atmosphere that is really well done in the game valkyrie profile.
I didn't read all the stories and the lines for now but I intend to.
When I will, I'll try to relate that a little (if that's possible rolleyes )

On peut pas dire que tu ais dit grand chose non plus ici en tous cas !
Bon quoiqu'il en soit, en ce qui me concerne j'aime beaucoup ces mythologies la. Ca vient en particulier d'une BD que je lisais quand j'etais petite : Thorgal. J'adore cette BD ! D'ailleurs je la lis toujours (vu que ca continue) ! C'est inspire des mythologies nordiques et ca se passe chez les vikkings.
Mais on ne sait quasiment rien des histoires des dieux de cette mythologie !
Dans le jeu de Valkyrie profile on a quelques "donnees supplementaires" xd ! Cela dit on apprend pas tout non plus en jouant aux jeux videos ou en lisant des BD !
C'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai l'intention de me lancer dans des lectures plus poussees afin de mieux saisir cet univers si particulier et melancolique.
Yes, I know, I didn't write the same thing in french and in english but in the big lines, that mean the same !

I luv norse mythologies!
Of course! after having beaten so many RPG that deals with NM!
Yet there are many stuff I still dunno!
I once did a speach on it so I made some research on both internet and books.
I'll try to find the web sites I went to, maybe that'll be interesting biggrin
I'm tryin' to find some good books on it, especially a good NM Dictionnary, has anybody got a clue? redface
:p
It's really interesting to see that in every NM tales, there's the idea of Destiny that can't be avoided!
Even in Valkyrie Profile, you can feel the tragedy of each Character.
That's what I love!
Besides there's something noble about it, I really like it!
Wish I could find a vikking tales book!

If you were kidnapped from your home along with your two siblings, seperated, raised by and taught to trust the aesir, and then betrayed and bound, all because of a prophesy.... Wouldnt you hold a grudge against the Aesir? Perhaps one strong enough to go to war and seek revenge? Fenrir was just massive, intimidating and potentially dangerous to the Aesir. He wasnt evil, they just feared him. Especially by Odhinn, once it was prophesized the Fenrir would be the one to kill him.

the only thing I know about this is that I love how their looking (vikings, ......)

Alors ne t'inquiete pas dans mon premier post il y a un dictionnaire il suffit juste que tu cliques sur dictionnary et tu pourras trouver tous les mots les plus importants de ces mythologie nordiques!!!

But his sons are powerfull and fearfull however those children has brought up in the hate!!! And the revenge will be unevitable!!! 3nodding
