This RP is for Nori and myself. Please don't post.

Peaches had stayed back at the clearing for a bit, mainly now that Cynder's arrival had created such chaos. She wasn't too fond of the two-legger, but really Peaches felt sorry for her. It had to be really hard to deal with something that scary, losing your only home to the flames the demon released in her fury. Even Peaches wouldn't wish that on her worst enemy if she had any.

In any case now that things were getting back to normal, she ventured out again with fresh little flowers attached to her mane resembling dandelions. Perky little yellow sunshine that accented her brilliant sky blue eyes, such a lovely bright contrast yet so natural on her gray coat. But this very day she was out to find someone, because Peaches had had so much fun last time. She wondered if he'd remember her for a moment, then laughed for she knew he would.

Traveling as fast as her pudgy legs could, Peaches followed the landmarks she'd passed before in hopes he'd be around there somewhere. She was excited to play more games again for Ahote knew the best ones of course. Smiling she halted in the place where she'd found him once before. Her little heart was flitting as rapidly as a flutters as eyes of that cerulean blue scanned the area.

She couldn't wait to see him again hoping for a day of fun and laughter like she'd experienced with him before.

Yet another beautiful day. The little pony had been spending a lazy day by a nice, tall tree, watching other creatures moving around, and listening to all the sounds that they made. He sighed, looking over to a patch of forest that lay to his right. He smiled, remembering the last time he was inside that forest.

He had found himself here again, the same place where he had met Peaches so many weeks ago. He remembered saying goodbye to her, and promising that they would meet again, but he had yet to see her. He smile again, remembering what a great day he had had with Peaches that day. He truly hoped that he would see her again soon so that he could enjoy her company once more.

Just then, he saw something approaching the edge of the forest. He stood up, squinting his eyes to see better what it was. His heart leaped. In case he was mistaken, it was Peaches. If not, then it was definitely another Usdia, and he didn't know of any others around here, so he hoped it was her. He trotted over in her direction, a huge smile on his face.

Her eyes scanning she noticed a familiar sight not too far off as her little hooves danced in a jig and carried her toward him. Small yet rapid hoof beats sounding as clods of wet dirt from the last fallen snow flew behind her. The little yellow flowers dappled here and there in her mane clung tightly as she made her way toward him. Thankful that the two-legged girl was happy to place such brightness in her white snowy mane and tail, Peaches delighted in showing off with her friend.

Prancing with a jovial manner about her she announced playfully, "Someone likes butter..." she laughed with a little trill in her chipper tone, "Alo there Ahote. Did you have a good holiday?"

She smiled with a bit of her nose scrunched as her tail swished lightly, cheeks flushing with a bit of hue giving her all all over adorable look. Recently she'd seen a most horrific soquili demon that had caused such a fuss and even injured the elder. Peaches was horrified all this chaos was the result of a ferret that had tempted something bad to follow him, thusly resulting in a burned down teepee and a bleeding elder. She was thankful no one was severely injured, but she did feel sorry for the human girl that had no place to sleep now. That must really be tough for creatures like her, for they relied on heat they made and hot things stirred in a strange pot like thing to eat.

She stood there beaming at him, for now her little world was even bigger with Ahote around. Maybe he'd help her forget that scary scene she was playing in her head over and over.

She also wondered if he'd notice her pretty new flowers too.

Ahote stopped as they met each other, his smile wider than it had been in a very long time. He stood there and looked at her, his eyes taking her in. He almost immediately noticed the flowers she wore, and smiled.

"Hi Peaches. I see you've taken a liking to the flower I placed in your mane the last time we met."

He smiled, remembering when he laced the golden flower into her mane on their last meeting. He moved forward and wrapped his neck around hers in a hug. He had missed her. Even though they had only met once before, he felt he had really gotten to know her well and had made a new friend. And a very good friend at that.

"I'm glad to see you again. And my holiday was nice. How about yours?"

She accepted his friendly hug as if she had known him for years. While it was only a season's passing the little mare held Ahote more deeply than anyone else she'd known. Remembering the day of fun they shared made her giddy with a feeling of being bigger than any soquili she'd met. Her little heart was bursting with affection and adoration that he was here right now.

Smiling she tossed her head with a beaming smile, "The two legger in the clearing put these in for me. I really think they make my eyes look more blue. What do you think?" she asked with a twinkle that radiated off of her.

Pondering his question she thought of the dragon, "It was good." Her eyes blinking with a bit of uncertainty, "Well no something did happen actually..." she looked downward then shook off those bad vibes.

Should she really mention she saw a scary soquili?

"Oh but never mind that. I missed you after you left that day, for it just wasn't the same there with just me. Played any fun games without me?"

She beamed once more shaking that scariness from her mind, because she was away from Cynder and the smoldering mess the kalona let behind. Besides, being here she could enjoy herself and worry about things later.

He closed his eyes as they hung on to the hug for a while, feeling warm and at home there with her. He hadn't realized how much he'd missed her. He pulled away, smiling at her.

"It seems that the two-legger is very nice to you and cares for you. I'm glad that you have somebody to watch over you and help you if you need it."

He had worried about Peaches a little bit during the time that they hadn't seen each other. They were a small species, and he knew that there were some mean Soquili out there that would make a game out of chasing the small Usdia. But listening to her talk about her holiday, he became worried again. It seemed that there was something bothering her...something that had happened.

"If you feel like you need to tell me something, Peaches, you can. I know that sometimes you just have to say things...get them off your chest, ya know? I'll listen if you need me to."

He didn't press it any further than that. He had had experiences before when he learned that going too far and asking too much could really damage a relationship. So he left it at that, waiting for her to make the next move. If she didn't want to talk about it, that was fine. But he wanted to leave that option open for her.

He bright eyes flickered as she herself pondered explaining that such a horrific beast was living near where she was making her home currently. Well the worst he could do was tell her not to leave his side for fear of Cynder making a "Peaches" snack. The thought was both amusing and even scary if she concentrated on it too long.

"Alright I better tell you, because if not it will eat at me like it has been. Walk with me?" she nodded flicking her little tail back and forth. Perhaps even Ahote would feel he would protect her from such a vile creature. The thought seemed genuine, but yet she feared even a knight in shining armor being eaten as easily as she might be.

As she walked along she began her tale, sticking very close to her cherished friend for comfort. Maybe it wasn't bad as she thought with Ahote there...

"Well, when I returned back things were fine and quiet. Though a few days later..." she paused and gulped a bit of air before continuing, "Something arrived that made everything go topsy turvy creating a big mess and scared even the elder." she nodded staring out toward the bright blue sky."

"It was a kalona, you know those scary demons? Well this one was a dragon, and her name is Cynder. She really made a mess and even caused the two-legged to cry and shake. Even Celendria the elder got hurt and was bleeding and she's expecting babies too."

Peaches turned her head looking directly at Ahote for support wondering what he was assessing in the situation. She truly hoped he wasn't thinking of taking Cynder on... she'd never allow that.

"Needless to say the dwelling the girl lives in is all burned and gone now and she has no place to go. The dragon flew off somewhere, but I think she's not too far off. I've tried helping the others as best I can, and that's when Tirranna decided to braid these yellow flowers into my mane," she smiled with a bright glimmer in her eyes, "to say thank you I think."

She breathed with a puff of breath as her tension was alleviated and her mind lessened with fear. Now there was nothing to console and let stay hidden to gnaw and make her feel miserable.

Ahote listened attentively to Peaches' story. As she got into the details, his eyes grew wider, and his mouth dropped open slightly. He was so happy to see that she was here and alive and unhurt that he ran forward and wrapped his neck around hers in a hug. She was truly one of the best friends he had and he would have been devastated if anything had happened to her.

"I'm so glad you're ok."

He pulled away from her, his eyes full of sympathy.

"Well, you can't go back. At least, not alone. I don't want you to get hurt. I'll go with you, or if you want, you can stay with me for a while. If she's going to come back I...I don't know what I would do if you were to be hurt, or worse..."

He stared at her, his eyes pleading that she would chose to accept his offer one way or the other.

Can't go back? What would the others think if she just disappeared like that she feared as her little mind traveled this way and that scared the demon would find her and Ahote. But, yet he was right that she was small enough to be eaten and vulnerable for an attack from Cynder if the dragon saw it fit.

No... she wouldn't let Ahote worry like that. The others would just have to understand she was happy here, and here she'd stay.

"I know they'd be upset if I didn't go back, but I really missed not being with you either. So, I think Celendria will understand if I stay here with you. I wouldn't mind really." she spoke with a soft uneven laugh though her eyes sparkled back at him as she gazed into his own.

She nudged him with a smile, "Besides. I like it here because you're here now." she blushed with a bit of pink in her cheeks, "I don't want to leave if I don't have to. And I'd never want to to ever go against that creature even if your life depended on it. I don't think I could live with the fact something could happen."

Looking around her she saw a pretty purple wildflower and nipped it it half holding it out to him in her mouth, "Its not yellow like butter but it suits you. Vibrant and full of life".

Smiling she watched him hoping her change in emotion would settle his fears a bit and focus on being happy again.

His heart swelled as she said she'd stay with him. Let alone the fact that he would know that she was safe, he was immensely happy that she would now be by his side, and they would have all their time to spend together. He beamed happily and leaned in to hug her again.

"You have no idea how glad I am that you said that," he whispered to her. Pulling away, his smile was less intense, but still very sincere. He sighed, happy that this problem had been dealt with so easily.

He smiled even more as she offered up the flower to him. He couldn't help but blush a little bit as she related the characteristics of the flower to him. It was true, normally, he was very excited and happy, and he enjoyed life to its fullest. Though right now, he was still recovering from the news that Peaches had given him, his spunky attitude was quickly returning.

Grinning at Peaches, a glint in his eye, he suddenly rushed forward and tapped her with the tip of his nose.

"You're it!!!"

He chuckled and reared up on his hind legs before darting off, looking behind to see if she would chase him.

((Meep sorry on the delay... Muse has been fickle lately))

Peaches had been juggling things in her mind all the while being ever so gracious that he wanted her company. She didn't really let the whole "small" issue get to her anymore, but she did fear fire breathing monsters after all.

In her little train of thought she didn't realize things were steadily getting back to normal once again as she was tapped upon the nose hearing "you're it." She stood there dumbstruck for a moment before a wide smile lightened her eyes into a charming blue. Feet scurrying underneath her, Peaches followed after him with mirth in her laughter.

As the scenes flooded past her she left self doubt behind and fear, giving way to a future with someone she trusted and loved being with. Orbs keeping vigil of blue, she kept her sights on him coming closer by the second.

This is just like the last time....

He was in the lead with tricks up his sleeve this time around. She wondered what he was up to, but that was most of the fun right? Smiling she threw her head out as her long mane and tail swirled in the breeze. This time she wasn't leaving, if darkness set in she would still be in his company. It made life a little more sweeter and brighter in Peaches eyes.

This is what she liked best.
