Staring down at the most recently captured foals a purple lavender jala snorted and kicked the closest one with full force as he just felt like it. It would also hinder any defiance that any of them may have been thinking about. Stupid foals. Ra'lanr look at the three of them, all different breeds but this time not a bae. He paused Oh wait there was four and it was a bae hiding in the back terrified. "Get out here bae!" The slave trader, snapped venom dripped from his voice when he spoke to the slaves he was training. The snivelling bae struggled to get to it's feet quickly not being fast enough Ra'lanr bit it sharply in the gut "Quicker next time" he growled dangerously.

Most of them cowered but the one who didn't cower near as much as it should caught his attention. Ra' turned his attention from the bae who was licking his wound behind him and walked up toward the other foal in a menacing manner. He noted the foal was taking a few steps back ready to run if Ra kicked him as another sign of defiance. Ra'lanr placed his wing on the foal’s head, the foal cringed expecting much worse. Ra then smirked since the vile creature had relaxed Ra gripped the foals mane in his teeth and flung him across the area. "Show any more defiance and it will be worse." he promised, "Now behave like good little vermin." he told them.

"Zara'ora," he called his personal slave who came quickly with just the simple call of her name, "tend their serious injuries leave the rest." he snorted glaring at the foals who were hiding in the corner. He had hurt quite a few of them to gain their obedience. They needed to heal before he could sell them and he would break them into good slaves by any means but he still made sure the wounds wouldn't be too visible when he sold them.

He walked past his slave as she went to work tending to the wounds. There was some blood on his hooves from striking the foals pity he had hoped to keep them clean, but in his line of work that was rare. Ra walked away from were the foals were penned time to clean up he smirked stupid creatures, the jala were superior and as soon as the rest of the breeds figured that out the better. Coming to a cliff he opened his large purple wings and flew.

It had been awhile since Ka had last thought of getting himself a good slave, but then again there was little room in his mind for such things amist the plottings. Chaos? His thoughts had been blurred and blended for far too long, unable to predict its next quickening sentiment from the first, and yet how could it be so clear now? Quite simply, he had come about some very interesting news about one of his targets: Yi and her nonherd 'lover'. It was a rumor he had heard from the delightful Hera, but he did not doubt its existance. With Yi gone and out of his mind, away from whatever complications and unresolved feelings he had gotten from her, the prince was now able to focus on his true goal; his true accent to power within the herd. They needed it, and sorely. There was no doubt within the buckskin's mind that many others would agree with his new full time target.

Now, he had been traveling about the cliffs of the great mountain like he always did, hoping to come across any fire-eyed, haughty soldiers that would take on his challenge in a heart beat. He had fought most of them, honed his skills as a fighter as well as tested the force behind their army, and he found that every battle after the next he was getting more instinctful with every move. It had become a second nature to Ka, and he was certain his plan would be able to be put in motion in no time at all. Provided his next steps went according to plan. He already had his underlying, Ra'cuv, but he would not wish to send the young stallion out on his own. No, Ka was too percise for such a flaw in his plottings-

Speak of the devil. A movement from up above caught the stallion's attention, a purple flicker up in the skies. He grinned inwardly, knowing full well of exactly who belonged to such a coat. However, he felt like he needed a good stretch, so he would not call the slave-trader down to him with such laziness as he was sure his target would have done. Damnable sonofanag.

It was simple for Ka, take a leap of faith off the side of a cliff and open one's wings to catch yourself, however he did need to angle upwards to get into earshot before calling out, "Hither, Ra'lanr!" the buckskin spoke, making sure his voice would carry up to the other stallion.

Ra'lanr's ear flicked back as he heard his name was called over the pounding of wind and wings. It was a familiar voice, as he knew all those in power. It was Ka the prince he knew. He also knew Yi was slipping from that power and so he had to find some one else to get close to. Being on the wrong side when that side fell was not the wisest of decisions.

The Lavender jala arched his neck to see the prince "My prince what brings you out this day? Searching for more worthy opponents to hone your already well polished skills?"

The blood on his hooves was beginning to try and irritate his find hairs on his hide. He was heading toward the lake but if the prince wanted to speak to him cleanliness would and could wait.

It was rather ammusing how nearly all he greeted seemed to jump to the conclusion of him looking for a fight. Oh well, it was a reputation he didn't mind having, if it meant it would keep the masses away for the most part. Encounters with others was usually something he tried to avoid, for the prince had better things to do than think of taking up a mate. And certainly it would be the mares who intented to bother him with such encounters.

However, he was able to fly closer to the slave trader, being practiced as all Katilenuck were in flight, he could do it without worry of crowding the other stallion. "Actually, I do have some business with you I wish to discuss, however it would be best done on the ground for it is not hasty enough to be so directly in need." Interestingly enough, the smell of the metallic substance he had known quite intimately to be blood was now plastered onto Ra's hoofs, and had caught the stallion's sea-green gaze. He had half a mind to inquire about it, but figured his luck wasn't that great, surely he would not find a fight within this stallion. That privolage was usually reserved for the soldiers.

Ka easily caught up to the trader who was in no big hurry to be any were at the moment. It was easy for him to fly nearly wingtip-to-wingtip without getting tangled or falling like most of the other races. Jala after all were the best in flight clearly superior to all other breeds.

The slave trader listened then gave a nod "Of course my prince, my services are all yours." he said looking for the nearest place to land. "How about that cliff ledge m'lord?" he inquired to the prince before angling his wings toward the sturdy ledge.

He landed easily onto the ledge and turned to face the prince. He gave a low bow when the prince had landed in front of him "My prince what is it you would like to discuss? What can one such as myself do for you?"
PostPosted: Tue Jan 01, 2008 7:10 pm

There was no need to answer such a question as the first, for he merely angled himself towards the ledge at his leisure as the slave trader had done on his own. According to plan, he would need to be on his toes about the information he needed, and to acquire more than just the basic subjects most might ask about. This cliff ledge, far from the masses and away from earshot was the best place to do it, for if he did happen to let too much slip he was certain Ra'lanr would have the brains to keep quiet. In fact, he was most assuredly aware there would be no need to worry about it.

Easily and effortlessly the prince came to a landing near the edge of the cliff, perhaps a bit too close for his hooves seemed they would barely support such an act quite near the edge, but that did not bother Ka as he stood stilly despite his situation with the cliff's ledge and how close a backhoof was to slipping off. To returned the gesture, but not quite in full, he gave a distinct quirk of his muzzle downward, however his gaze remained steady, fixed, and held high. "I wish to inquire about slaves, and I have no doubt you are the one to go to for such a thing. Tell me, which breeds are more particular towards submission and which offenses, for it will be a great use to me in the future." Color? Appearance? Rank? Ka was not concerned with such things when inquiring about a slave, for it was not what he needed.

"Ah then my prince you have come to the correct Jala," he said bowing again. He paused to think of the temperaments of the slaves he had currently and was training. "The Aeri are the best for being quiet slaves." No doubt this slave was required to transfer information to him and his colleagues as he used Zara'ora the same way often.

"The Aeri lack any sort of pride it seems and are the quietest I have seen of my slaves. They are loyal and submit easily not questioning your authority."

He was sure Ka was not interested in color or appearance; it would not suit his purpose. Unlike his sister Yi who was quickly falling from power demanded a beautiful Slave that would obey her.

"I am sure I have something you may desire, I recently acquired an Aeri slave." he told the prince "If you want him I shall have him ready as soon as I can."

Aeri? The buckskin mulled over the facts that spilled from the tongue of Ra'lanr, pondering too if such a submissive nature was really what he needed. Of course, he would have to inquire further about the particular Aeri in stock, and would need to find him fit before furthing any investigation. With a decisve bob of his head, sending an unruly mane into disarray, he took a step closer to the other stallion- finally allowing the dangerious precious from his rear hock to subside as he removed it from the very edge of the cliff. "I'm certain you do as well, for there is no one else to go to unless I desire to find one myself. And I assue you, I wouldn't want that." It was more of an off-comment than anything, but something about Ka when he spoke, heck he could have been saying anything at all, just always carried a dark undertone; slipping and falling from his tongue without care to the shadows that lay across his voice.

"However I am interested in the Aeri, but I would like to know of any quirks in personality or characterstics you might be able to disclose." The more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea. Aeri were large creatures, brutes if you could call them that, and could certianly pack a punch. Yes, physically it was what Ka was looking for, but he needed something more. Something much much more than submission.

Ra'lanr gave a nod "Of course I wouldn't want that My Prince." Ka was one to be feared he was dangerous and direct, and it would be incredibly difficult to get on his 'good side' for Ra'lanr.

"I shall inform you of any quirks in his personality, when they appear I shall find you personally." He promised Ka. Yi was foolish to fall for a common unbred stallion that wasn't even brindled. She lost the favor of the heard and her brother would take that opportunity to claim his throne.

Though the prince would have prefered to have his answer now, there was no use in pressing for information that wouldn't be available for some time yet. Difficult as it was to swallow, he figured he had time to wait, his plan wouldn't even be full blown till he had Ra'cuv ready to go; and that would take some heavy and personal training. Accepting the other stallion's answer he gave a brief bob of his sleek head. Ka would wait, but only for so long until he needed such a slave. For even then, he had to wait till it was grown, and begin training it in the ways it was to be used for such plots as his. "Alright. I will be waiting for the information when it is made available."

Now the stallion knew little of the slave trader, having not even bothered to appear at the last slave trade, and so he had little to count on in the ways of loyalty or characteristics. However, he had given Yi such an eye-catching itchsa filly when even Mavasu and other importants had appeared. Perhaps that is where his loyalty lied? A silent, contomplative look passed over the buckskin's features. If that was so, it wouldn't be for long, he concluded to himself. Not if Yi insisted on the path she was going at. If that was so, surely Ka would be around to see the aftermath, no doubt in that.

Still, the strong scent of that metallic liquid he knew so well wafted to his nostrils, even as he turned his body back towards the cliff in intention to fly off. Blood. He knew it well and he knew of the effects it had on one such as him. Had Ra'lanr been a soldier, there was no doubt they would have already been involved in a dance of blows, which the very thought had the prince lingering in temptation. No. He needed Ra, and even so such a privalge was saved only for the soldiers; his kin. "The smell of fresh blood always gives such a rush. Don't you agree?" Again, it was an off-comment, but one he couldn't contain.

Ra'lanr bowed to Ka "Of course milord Ka," he said "I will have an adult slave prepared of your expectation soon." he bowed again. He would have to take a special slave aside and train it, differently than the others. Perhaps force some interesting quirks into the foal while it was still young.

"By now you should know milord, my loyalties lie with the highest bidder." he paused "And that would be you Prince Ka, Yi has fallen to far to gain my services." it was a risky statement and he was unsure of how Ka would act. but he hoped it would fix his position with the prince.. in a good way.

Ra'lanr smirked "it does indeed" he agreed instinctively with the prince.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 06, 2008 9:11 am

"Splendid," the prince returned, for indeed it was such a slave he desired. Adult, and able to preform the tasks that Ka would place upon such a slave as the one he had in mind. Aeri too, and that also was a bonus for the buckskin prince. However he did not like to wait long, as he had found out quite intimately with his thirst of power, a power that was rightfully his from birth order. He was first born, he was strong, able to protect; but then again he had much bigger plans than just the crown. Now didn't he? He desired something greater, something he valued before some simple political position. And for that, he would need a strong slave.

The prince, having come to the conclusion that the encounter was over with the agreement of which slave shall be his, flicked an ear as Ra'lanr went on about loyalties. Outwardly it was hardly a concern for the brindled buckskin, showing little interest other than to crane his neck in the direction of the purple slave-trader once more. "I would have you hold your tongue about such matters as that while in the presence of royals, or rather anyone with ears to hear. Such information could be costly if heard by the wrong individual." For some reason, even when Ka meant to be indifferent on the subject, it always came out as a bit threatening. A quick chuckle followed the statement, one that may have been intended to lighten the mood. "But that's just me, I'd rather not have the slave-trader strung up by his mane for having his beliefs overheard, as I wouldn't be too happy about finding my own slave."

Such a morbid sense of humor the prince had, if you could call that humor at all. A turn of his body to face the cliff once more as he prepared to leave, and the stallion once more called over his shoulder, "I had not expected you to be such a stallion, Ra'lanr. Perhaps we should spar some time." It interested him greatly that Ra would have such a taste for blood, despite what he said being merely in jest. Such a previlage was saved only for the military stallions, but it would be a good lesson for the slave-trader; that his tongue may very well get him into trouble if he didn't check it first.

Ra'lanr didn't twitch as Ka's voice became threatening "Of course m'lord he said. He knew exactly what Ka meant, and so would say no more about it. Incase there was some eaves dropping jala. Besides being strung up by his mane wasn't a prospect he'd like to think about. He'd have to be more careful...

As Ka turned to leave Ra'lanr chuckled "If I spar with you there would be nothing left of me m'lord." he bowed in truth Ra'lanr was stronger than he looked.. but he dare not cross Ka in any... obvious way.
