Cloud and Tifa look-alikes or sound-alikes! Post up any anime/movie/game/book/etc... related picture or related character that seem remarkably similar to Cloud or Tifa!
SORA from KH Sora obviously has Cloud's hair. biggrin Many people like to joke around and say that he's the son of Cleris or Cloti. Personality-wise, there isn't much similar. Kairi just came with the picture. xd Though, I think this couple has its similarities to Cloti too, such as their promises. Hee hee, minature Cloti. xd Sooo cute.

SQUALL LEONHART from Final Fantasy VIII Though Squall doesn't look like Cloud, he's alike in many ways. In the beginning of the game, Cloud is seen as a cold, reluctant anti-hero just like Squall. Plus, they're both emo so they're basically clones. xd

LIGHTNING from Final Fantasy XIIIWho can look more like Cloud than the female version of Cloud? xd Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning bears a striking resemblance not only in looks but personality seemingly. She looks as quiet and cold as Cloud was in the beginning. Plus, it's rumored that she was some sort of soldier, a high-ranking one. Familiar much?

Twindream Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIIIThe most famous Tifa look-alike. Yes, it's true, Tifa was a based off of Rinoa a bit. Personalities are completely different...though they pretty much hold the same roles. Both are part of a resistance and both love the main character. *shrug* "Love is not consolation. It is Light." *Hisses at Rinoa* Tifa is prettier, but I see the similarities. Especially with the hair-style. (Well, similarities with the AC version of Tifa. XD)
And, Tifa doesn't have Rinoa's manly eyebrows.
WOW. Burton kinda does have some Cloud features. XD

I've read somewhere in my (research) old CloTi interview files from the creator of the game itself, that Cloud and Squall's personalities are based of his own. (So guess he's a little more quiet and moody compared to Zidane and Tidus later on.. but notice all main characters except for Squall are blonde. @w@)
And so, he said that he liked the more optimistic and supportive girls who are by the hero's side thus why Tifa and Rinoa came into the picture. I think Tifa and Rinoa's personalities are similar as well as their appearance-- not just in hair. It's basically the creator's type of woman-- I mean why would he pair them to "himself", right?
But yess, Sora and Kairi also seem so CloTi, and she even comes out in KH2 with much longer hair.. similar to the style of Rinoa and Tifa as well.

But, I can see how you would say they are similar. In ways. They are both optimistic women, that really do all they can for that "moody" guy. x]
But, I thought Aeris was more like Rinoa. Randomly there. Dependant. Clingy. Selfish. Naive. A bit childish.
Er. I'm trying SO hard not to bash Rinoa. x]

Hmm, I suppose Rinoa's personality does lean a bit more on the selfish side and she is rather childish. *gasp* Guess I take back what I said about their personalities. Tifa's definitely more mature.. ^^;
Okay, I'll explain myself although most of the credit goes to a site that I have read this from, a fansite dedicated to Tifa: http://tifa.nu/tifa/
Okay, I just want to put up some summarized points. Aside from appearances, CloTi and Squall/Rinoa have some more in common..
Tifa and Rinoa
- Their mothers passed away when they were still young.
- Both of their dads are overprotective of their daughters.
- They both speak to animals like they can understand each other. Tifa, speaking to the dog in Mideel.. Rinoa, of course to Angelo..
- Tifa is a member of AVALANCHE, Rinoa is part of the Forest Owls. Both resistance groups by the way.
- Both the Forest Owls and Avalanche needed to hire a mercenary. Thus, Cloud an Ex-SOLDIER, and Squall, a SEED
- Cloud and Rinoa have had scenes of being in a coma. Cloud, who had lost his mind for a period of time and was lost in himself while Tifa took care of him. Squall did everything he could for Rinoa while she was in that state. Both Squall and Tifa stayed by their sides and refused to give up on them.
- Also during the Lifestream and Time Compression sequences, both of the couples become spiritually connected. They come in touch with their spiritual sides and no matter how hopeless things seem for each of them-- Tifa/Squall don't even know if Cloud will ever go back the way he was/ Rinoa will ever wake up..
- Both pairings didn't make "love" the main part of the game. They kept their feelings aside until the near end so that it won't end up being some mushy-gushy love story instead of a videogame.
- The pairs also had one of those promises they made to each other. Cloud promised Tifa that he would save her one day when the time needed it and Squall promised to wait for Rinoa. "I'll be waiting for you. If you come here, you'll find me. I promise." -Squall
- My own observation though.. Edea's flower field in FF8, doesn't it resemble the flower field Cloud and Tifa were in (in Advent) you know that long scene of both of them in the flowers in the Church..? I love that sequence btw.. >w<
And lastly, this is from an interview with Nomura-sama..Quote: Additionally, it was Nomura's idea to kill Aerith and have Tifa take over as the game's leading female. He was personally unsatisfied with Aerith's design (in that she was someone who he himself wouldn't be attracted to) and role in the story and so he decided to replace her midway through the game with a character he found more agreeable - Tifa. That everything goes in Tifa's favor towards the end of the game as she takes over the spotlight shows that Nomura preferred her over Aerith who, having done her part in saving the Planet, is dead.
Although in the end, he said that his opinions aside, everyone should choose who they want to be with Cloud.
I realized I don't have a life.. LOL.. XDDDD I had the time to read, research about all of this.. So I'm a CloTi nerd...

Ohh, so it was from Loveless! Oh okay.....I think I have seen that then. It just shocked me how radical it kind of sounded, haha. I think it is verified that Nomura wasn't satisfied with her design. Was it Nojima who said that he wanted Aeris to die in tribute to his mother?

"Love is not consolation. It is Light." I noticed that Garnet and Tifa look very much alike. O_O More than Rinoa and Tifa, in my opinion. Well actually, Rinoa looks more like AC Tifa, and Garnet looks more like FFVII Tifa. x]

Blonde and dark hair! <3 Zidane is nothing like Cloud, but he's blonde... Lmao. And, he has a secret past ! Then again, all the FFVII main heros do. x'D
