Carnival Of Souls (1962)
I recently had the great pleasure of viewing the movie Carnival of Souls. It''s about a woman named Mary who at the beginning is in a car with her friends and they decide to get into a drag race with a couple of guys. The woman''s car goes off the side of a bridge and sinks into a river. After a while of looking for the sunken car by the police, Mary suddenly surfaces out of the water and walks out. She shortly afte resumes a normal life but starts to notice a man following her every where that no one else can see. As the movie goes, things get even stranger for poor Mary.
I liked this movie. I had no idea what it was about when I had started watching. I thought the story was very well done. I did figure out about what you discover at the end of the movie really quickly though so it was no surprise to me. The man and other people she starts to see actually at some points are creepy such as when you see them dancing at the abandoned carnival.
Also, the character Mary plays the organ in a church and they make the church seem kind of creepy as well.
I don''t want to give away too much so I won''t.
Overall I thought this movie was very good and I recommend it to anyone who likes the old black and white horror movies.
