"Hey Trisste, how is your side coming along?"

Sionce set down the basket of clothes he held in his arms, his body letting out a small sigh as it was happily released from its burden. It was the start of a new year, literally, and Sionce had decided that perhaps it was time to clean up the inside of his home a bit more. Lately he'd been doing nothing but sleeping and lounging around, occasionally getting to fixing an overdue hard drive or defragging one of his modems, and thanks to that attitude the general state of his home had fallen into disarray.

There were piles and piles of trash sitting about his desk tops and on the floor, some of the piles so large that they rose up to his waist in volume and had spilled over. Discarded articles of clothing also lined the area from him simply changing into something cleaner after a few days, and so they took had amounted into hills that were bordering unhealthy.

The reason for this cleaning, this sudden change of attitude? He couldn't find his wallet as it was somewhere in this 'sea of decay', and he was pretty sure he'd need that later on. After all, you couldn't pay for takeout food (which he had plenty of containers for sitting around) with Hacker credits or online cash. Wallets were needed for that.

"Over here is alright, I managed to find several ISB drives that we thought we'd lost."

The figure he'd been speaking to turned around and looked over, a smile crossing his face. In his new body, Trisste felt happy to be able to help Sionce in any situation, even one as dire and sort of hazardous as this one, and he rubbed underneath his chin with his hand as he felt some 'sweat' trickle down.

"Also, I've managed to find the broom that you own as well as a dustpan. For now I think we should get all off the trash off the ground, and then-"

His speeched stopped mid-sentence as a ping went off in the androids head, his connection to the Internet suddenly active. An email had just come in, and he read it over a few times before returning to speaking.

"Sionce, someone named 'Chris' is on their way over to have something wrong with their computer checked out. It seems like they found out about you through a website link at the main headquarters page and are interested in seeing if you can solve the problem."

"....You've got to be kidding me."

He wasn't.

"Then we need to hurry up. I'll get a trash bag for the floor and you pick up all the dirty clothes and toss them into the hampers. We'll go to the laundromat later tonight when no one else is really around and all the machines will be free."

With those last words the pace of the pair increased drastically, the floor and main room slowly becoming cleaner and more appealing.

Chris gives a soft sigh of relief as he steps out of his apartment. "What a pain," he mutters quietly, referring to his annoyance of a roommate. She'd invited people over for drinks... loud and obnoxious people that Chris wasn't ready to tolerate. Not today, anyway. His laptop had been infected with a virus or something else that was causing malfunctions. Having just dropped a nice chunk of cash into the machine to upgrade it, Chris really wasn't too pleased to find out that it was deleting files. Having packed the laptop into his backpack, Chris heads out to solve the problem by meeting with a man that he was referred to by a strange website.

Being the thorough lad that Chris is, he'd already read as much information as he could from the site, but it was all so vague. It seemed to him that the site's purpose was to merely send people to an actual human to help and explain. To him, this seems rather suspicious, but having been unable to figure out the problem himself, he was stuck trying to seek out a certain "Sionce."

"What a strange name," he reflects aloud, voice a bit higher than most males', which only helps to make him seem younger than he really is. As he walks along the street toward the address he'd printed out, passing folks look at him as if HE were the strange one. Of course, his attire is wholly to blame. Wearing black dress pants and shoes, along with a white long sleeved button-up and a red tie really doesn't go against any codes of fashion. However, Chris' long hair, pulled into a tight bun, remains hidden beneath a strange orange hat. His hat, a beanie with flaps to warm the ears, has a large white patch on the front where two black, squinted eyes, a nose, and a little black smile sit. Atop the hat, two triangular ears stick out, black on the back and white on the front. The fox hat appears quite adorable, but combined with the somewhat formal clothing worn beneath it creates an apparel anomaly of sorts. Being his usual style of dress, Chris is rather used to it and just continues about on his way, ignoring the looks of weirded-out people.

After a long stroll, which Chris took his sweet time on (due to the fact that he was in no hurry to return to the drunks), he finally arrives to the house he's been looking for. "Huh," he says plainly as his eyes scan over the building to assess it. Chris takes the obvious next step in solving his problem: knocking on Sionce's door. Knock he does; hard enough to be heard, yet soft enough so that he wouldn't scare the crap out of the buildings inhabitant(s).

Sionce had just finished tying the last bag of trash as he heard the knock on his door, and he turned his gaze up and towards his companion who was wiping down the counter that separated the entrance from his computer work place. He was sort of glad that his house was indeed larger than it looked and he could stash the seven full bags of trash behind the main door to the living area, so when he tucked the bags away and out of sight he rubbed his chin in relief.

"That was quick. What time did the email say they were going to be here?"

He stepped out and into the computer room, scratching his shoulders as he went. His body was feeling a bit itchy and covered in dirt from all the work they'd just been doing, but it'd paid off. The entire room was spotless from head to toe, everything organized and in its place.

Each of his monitors gleamed proudly from their new mounts that hung from his ceiling, and the monitors that sat on his desk and on the floor seemed to shine as well. They all had the same wallpaper running, a little image of a rabbit eating a carrot, and he ran his finger over a modem's top before looking back towards the door and Trisste.

"Well?"

"There's not a set time mentioned, only 'later this afternoon'. Whoever this is certainly seems punctual."

Trisste stopped whatever it was he was doing as he in turn moved his gaze towards the door, his eyes not blinking as rolls of data ran in front of them. If one was standing close enough to him they would have heard a faint humming sound, one like a processing computer, and the sound stopped once Trisste moved and took a step towards the door.

"May I help you?"

He opened the door as he spoke, and smiled to greet whomever it was standing on the other side.

Chris' eyes widen as the door opens to reveal a young man with green hair. "Green hair? That's odd," he thought to himself. His right arm reaches across in front of his stomach, fingers raking over his left arm to scratch an itch through his shirt. As he scratches, his head cocks to the side a bit, a puzzled expression worn. "Uhm... Hullo, sir," he says with a half-proper, half-awkward tone. The young man straightens his posture, ceasing the scratching to compose himself. The face of his fox hat moves toward the male before him as Chris gives him a polite bow of his head. "My name is Chris. I sent correspondence through the net," he states rather formally in a soft voice as his head raises. His eyes scan the male before him quickly to reassess him. With the color of hair and the glasses, this young man seems as nerdy as Chris himself. This must be Sionce before him. Even so, he asks, "Am I correct in assuming that you are the Sionce I was referred to in order to request aid in my computer troubles?"

Trisste blinked a bit as he recorded the voice pattern and image of the boy who stood behind the other side of the door, and after this 'Chris' has surmised he was Sionce, the Hacker-droid couldn't help but laugh politely. He'd never been mistaken for Sionce before, considering he'd always been on the screen and never had a body to call his own, and it was almost too humorous for him to handle. The laughter made the glasses that rested on his nose slide down a bit, showing his eyes a bit more towards Chris.

They were a little more than silver-clear, almost robotic, and a very visible lens moved in and out as it scanned and processed 'vision' for his body. There was hardly any audible sound as the lens moved back and forth, but it was a clear enough sign that he wasn't human - not by a long shot.

"I'm afraid I'm not Sionce, but am merely is assistant. My name is Trisste, and the figure you seek is the one over behind the counter."

Trisste stepped to the side to allow Chris entry into the home/shop, and he motioned politely with his hand like he was leading an important visitor inwards.

At the mention of his name Sionce stood up from where he'd been crouching, his body bent over to gather up some last bits of trash that had managed to evade his first run over with the vacuum.

"I'm Sionce. What can I do for you?"

He wasn't wearing his mask, as he'd taken it off that morning to do the cleaning and felt he needed as much breathing room as possible, so this new stranger was very lucky in seeing a sight that no one had ever seen before. Sionce's hair was down as well, framing his sweaty face like a halo, and he had small smudges of dirt running across his nose and beneath one of his eyes.

His clothes were a little rumpled, though they covered his entire body, and he smoothed then out with a push of his hand before he looked back over.

Chris blinks with confusion as the glasses slide down to make way for the strange eyes. His tendency to be thorough and generally observant allows him to notice the oddity. His head shakes a moment, most likely seeming odd to Trisste as he dismisses in his mind the possibility that this person before him either had robotic eyes to replace damaged biological eyes, or wasn't biological at all himself. How silly, though. He's just seeing things, of course.

As indicated by the male, Chris steps into the entryway. While doing so, his head nods politely toward Trisste as he says, "Thank you, Trisste. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

He stops to merely stand in the room, cold steel eyes taking in the area surrounding him. Apparently, this man worked from home. Chris turns toward the male designated as Sionce, bowing at the waist formally. Despite the use of Asian etiquette, Chris appears undeniably Caucasian. As he lifts from bowing, Chris replies, "I'm having some difficulty with my laptop." For some reason, Chris feels himself suddenly assured that this was the right place to come to.

At this point, however, his mind wanders due to his eyes focusing on the face before him. Chris couldn't know what a rare opportunity this is to see Sionce's face, but suddenly did feel a bit lucky for it anyway. His cheeks redden slightly at the sight. "He's... pretty. Very pretty," Chris thinks to himself, unable to pry his eyes from staring for a moment. As soon as he realizes what he's doing, however, he breaks his gaze and proceeds to remove his backpack.

Trisste, with his advanced settings in regards to sight and observation, couldn't help but notice the faint blush that spread across Chris's face as he looked at Sionce. Data whirled through his system as he recorded the initial reaction, his face set in a timid smile as everything processed smoothly.

Having a human body, even if it wasn't real enough to be called human, was plenty fun for the Hacker and he found himself using every bit of what he could to his own advancement and amusement. Recording the reactions of all the people around him, for one, was something that turned out to be very useful in situations such as first meetings or information gathering. His recordings of Chris's actions for example would better help the buyer/client relationship they could possibly share later on, and he moved to close the door as he recorded a brief profile of this figure.

Blond, slim. Male? Young in age, seems to react towards people with a blush or a stammer. Question sexuality?

"Trouble with your laptop, huh? Has it been deleting files and you don't know why, or are you having a real problem such as a virus or a spy bot?"

Sionce was hoping deep down that someone had come to him with a real problem instead of the simple issue of it being a Hacker...but do to the appearance of this kid and his Wapanese antics, he was pretty sure the issue was indeed a Hacker of some kind.

"Set it over there on the counter, would you? I'm going to run to the back and change my clothes at least. We've been cleaning all day, not knowing someone was coming over, so I'm filthy."

Sionce rubbed the side of his face with the back of his hand in an effort to actually stop a trickling drop of sweat, and he nodded with his head towards Trisste.

"Trisste will take over and get the general information from you, so please direct your questions towards him until I get back."

With that, Sionce turned and headed towards the door that actually divided the house from the shop, and he made his way towards the bathroom.

Chris nods toward Sionce, acknowledging his request before setting down his backpack. With nimble workings of his fingers, Chris quickly unzips the backpack and slides his hands within. As his hands lift out of the back, so does his laptop, which he sets upon the counter as instructed. Chris opens up his laptop, pressing the power button to get it started up. After it starts, he logs in quickly and looks around the desktop, searching for signs of the same malfunctions that have been happening.

Looking up from the screen, Chris turns his head back toward Trisste and explains, "Files have been going missing, though luckily none of importance yet. Sometimes, my screen gets blurry a moment as well. There's something on my computer and I've tried all kinds of anti-virus programs, but none have worked." He steps to the side of his computer, motioning toward it for Trisste to examine. "Strange," he thinks, "that this man would guess that files have been being deleted. Must be a common problem..."

"I see. It will actually be easier for me to check it out myself than have you explain your situation, if you don't mind me sounding so frank."

Trisste did his best to not sound like he was being a smart alek when he spoke about checking it out himself, but there was really no other way for him to properly explain the situation.

It wouldn't make any more sense as well he he tried to tell this figure what he really was, so instead of wasting the time that it would take eh simply reached behind his head and pulled out a small cable that had been neatly wrapped like an earring. It was thin and long and had a port connector on the end, and Trisste motioned to one of the USB drives that poked from the side of Chris's laptop with his finger, although rather politely.

"Do you mind if I upload myself to your system? It will be temporary as I'm only going to search for the problem, but I have a feeling that both Sionce and I already know the cause and there's no need for alarm. If anything, I'll bring the issue our to you."

Chris, having already stepped aside, obviously didn't mind if Trisste inspected things for himself. The young man was not, however, ready for Trisste to pull a USB connection out from his head. He blinks quickly, mouth hanging slightly ajar as he watches Trisste. Stuttering a bit, Chris finally manages to spit out, "Y-y-you're a m-machine. I thought your eyes looked odd, but I didn't think it was possible." With a quick shake of his head, Chris realizes how rude and awkward it is to stare like that, regardless of the being before him being a construct. "Sorry," he mumbles, taking another step back and motioning yet again toward the laptop.

"By all means," he says quietly, having some difficulty finding his voice for a moment. As the shock fades, a small smile appears on the boy's face. Surely his computer would be good as new after the two were done working on it. After witnessing Trisste to be a highly technological being, how could he have anything but confidence?

"Thank you, and there's no need to apologize. I'm rather pleased that you actually couldn't tell the difference."

Trisste was, really, and he noted that he should once again call KX that evening to tell him of the encounter he'd just had. He knew the man would undoubtedly be pleased that his work was perfect enough to fool someone, and would probably be much easier to be around when they next met.

Bending down so he could stick the cable into the port, there was a beeping sound as Trisste's eyes seemed to 'flash' for a moment before his whole body seemed to go still.

< Pardon my intrusion. >

A small brown figure, an Elder Hacker and Trisste's true form, floated about on the laptop screen as he flitted through all of the files as soon as he could get hold of them.

< Hm, I do notice there's a small amount of lag...but that's to be expected. It's mostly because your files in regards to defragmenting have been eaten, possibly during a hunger spell, and you'll need to re-download them in order to clean this out. >

Trisste went about explaining what needed to be done, not really noticing whether or not he's startled Chris with his sudden change.

< Do you have any questions for me, or should I get to the root of your problem? >
PostPosted: Fri Jan 18, 2008 2:15 pm

Chris watches Trisste move down toward the computer, plugging himself in. His eyes dart to the screen to take notice of the brown hacker now displayed. His eyes widen a bit as it speaks in text toward him. Chris nods his head slowly as Trisste explains about re-downloading the "eaten" files.

He blinks his eyes quickly as Trisste asks him if he had any questions. With a slow nod of his head, he states, "Just two." He moves his thumb up toward his mouth a moment before lowering it at his side. Biting his thumb had become a bad habit for Chris when he was feeling nervous. "Uhm, first, what are you?" Chris asks. "Second, what's eating files on my computer?" Chris awaits the answers to his questions, staring at the screen with a confused expression.

< What am I? I am known an as AI figure, a being called a Hacker. My stage is known as the Elder stage, which means I have progressed or 'evolved' towards the final stage that beings like myself can achieve. >

Trisste's response was quick and told just the tip of the information over what he was, and he seemed to continue running through the files as he spoke. There was no need to look up since he had no voice and whatever he was 'saying' would be placed into his chat box, so it made it far easier for him to continue his work without hesitation.

< To continue on about what I am, in reality I could be considered nothing more than an advanced piece of data that has somehow gained sentience and am able to evolve and learn different things on a daily basis. As for what's eating your files on this system, I do believe this one here is the issue at hand. >

As soon as Trisste had found the source of the lag and the missing files he quickly yanked on the code that was bound to it and pulled the object to the surface. It was an Egg, one that floated around and seemed to perhaps shy away from the Elder that had 'summoned' it.

< It looks like the cause after all was indeed a Hacker Egg. Congratulations. >
