 Kiun was hungry. He had been flying for several hours, and it was a lot more work than land confinied soquili thought it was. He glided down to a large, grassy meadow.
Setting down, he streached his wings in and out to loosen the muscles. He bent down and took a taste of the grass. It was soft and springy under his hooves, lush and green too. Taking a mouthful, he twitched his ears back and forth in approval. The grass tasted as good as it looked. He ate until he had saited his growling stomach, then rested under a large oak tree. The cool shade felt good after being in the sun.

 Paprika's ears twitched as she felt the wind change. She looked aways across the field and a blue soquili with grand wings was coming to a land. She grinned mischievously as she realized it was a stallion, this was the first time in awhile she was away from her father and would be able to act herself. She made her way towards him climbing a small hill that had kept her out of view. Taking a moment to view him over she flicked her tail and stood in a lazy yet graceful pose. "Well hello there handsome."

Kiun slowly lifted his head as he heard a voice behind him, and thought, Handsome eh?. He grinned and turned around, to be greeted by a black and red spotted mare. He inclined his head gracefully, winked, and said slyly, "Well, if I'm handsome I am sadly paled in comparasin to you." He was in a flirting mood, and apparently this mare was too.

"Oh your smooth and Handsome I see." Paprika said with a flutter of her eyes. Walking closer she took careful steps to enhance her natural body shape her tail swaying side to side. Tilting her head slightly to let her bangs fall to create a seductive mystery as she stared at the stallion through the shadows they made. This was a pure sport to her and she liking to think she played it well. "Tell me, what is a strapping stallion such as yourself doing here all by yourself with no pretty mare to compliment you?" This question was always first, the last thing she needed was some angry mare chasing her for flirting with the mare's stallion.

A corner of Kiun's lip twitched in a ghost of a smile, and he thought, Hm...this game we play, she is quite the master at it. Out loud he said, "Well then, it must have been fate that no mares came along today, and that you found me instead." He winked, then extended his wings, showing off his delicate plumage.

Good the game could continue he was not taken. Paprika raised a shoulder as if shy to look at the beauty in his feathers and took a step closer. "Those are the most impressive wings I've ever seen, sir. Strong yet elegant in color and plume.I bet you are faster then a comet on those wings." She admired him while looking into his eyes she new how to get her eyes to water just enough to twinkle and not look like she was about to cry. "My name is Paprika, you know like the hot spice, what's your's big boy?"

Kiun was deeply enjoying her praise, and feeling very vain. He folded down his wings, and said, "Well, I wouldn't say faster than a comet, but I can certainly out fly many others with wings." He noticed her eyes seemed to sparkle in the sun. He grinned, it was a clever trick mares tended to use. Though Paprika seemed to be better at it. Most other mares he had met who tried to use it looked like they were crying.
He laughed as she intruduced herself, and said, "Well, I must say you rival the spice, though in heat or the stinging lash of flavor, I cannot distinguish. I myself have no thing to relate to, except perhapes the english translation of my name which is luck. Though I do not think you are well rehersed in the japanese language, so I will simply tell you to spare the time and effort." He paused and continued, "My name, gentle lady, is Kiun" He winked playfully.
