A slight russle was heard as a darkly colored kat stalked towards her prey through the very dark thick foliage. The toe biter, realizing it had been followed attempted to flee all too late into the pool of safe water just up ahead. The kat made her move and success was bestowed upon her. This toe biter had lead her to its colony so she began to triumphantly eat her kill so she could kill more of them. She had only been this successful because her fur that blended nicely with the dark foliage in the surrounding area.
What the kat did not realize was she had ceased being the hunter before she had even found the toebiter and was instead the hunted. A dark shadow slowly began to move along the brush, making even less of a sound, if any, in comparison to the kat. Dark blue claws dug softly into the earth as the raptor began to stalk towards the prey. A pink tongue covered in green saliva was reeled in so the odor would not travel any further or any sooner than the hunter intended. White eyes narrowed as the kimera was forced to stop when the kat's ears perked up.
They had wanted to growl so badly, to leap and tear the pathetic thing to pieces the instant they had smelled her.We are better than that.. and we have much more restraint. Hunting will calm us down, killing her sooner would not have benefited us...
The raptor thought. She had made it a challenge for them, almost catching them in their stalking, but they had made it this far and were getting bonuses for waiting. They always liked it better when their prey had just eaten or was in the process. It was almost like eating two meals at once with half the work. It felt like they hadn't eaten for days, and it was true. Before this lucky break they could only hunt at night and were starting to feel more delusional. Following this kat had lead them to good cover, more food, and safe water. With their camouflage working nicely, it was only a matter of time before they would strike swiftly and dine like gods.

Besides the slight rustle of leaves, it was quiet. Through the thick forest, a young raptor broke the peaceful silence. He stood out against the dark green and brown back ground with dashing red scales and defined black stripes that gave him a striking look. His underbelly, along with the spines that ran down his back, were a bright icy blue the almost glowed against the background. There was a powerful air about him and the way his muscular legs carried him slowly and cooly through the forest. But there was another part of him too, that seemed to break through his brilliant appearence.
This raptor was fairly young, just breaking his years of adolecense and facing adulthood. His four sharp, golden eyes looked about him curiously, revealing his naive mind and his lack of understanding in the world. Despite his youth, he was still a force to be reconded with. This was Yanisin, the eldest son of the proud Keahi and Chaos, the rulers of the pack of this territory.
It was rare for Yanisin to wander this far away from the main part of the territory, but he had captured a strange, unfamiliar scent that had drawn him towards the water's edge. Ever since he had reached adolecence, he had found himself longing more and more to discover the outside world. Soon enough, he brought himself to the edge of his pack's territory, the trickling river. He gazed across it in wonder, as if it was the edge of the earth. That scent...it was some where further beyond this. He glanced back over his shoulder once before facing his eyes forward once more. A slight smirk spread across his maw. He didn't want to be contain in these boundaries forever, despite what his parents wished of him. With smooth, direct strides, he began walking across the weak, shallow stream. His talons rustled the round, smooth stones until they once again stepped onto the muddy shore on the other side.

The kat's ears shifted towards Yanisin's sounds as he crossed the river. She sat for a moment debating her options. The kat didn't want to become a such and easy target so soon, but she had just gotten a real meal. She hastily began to scarf down the rest of the toebiter her mind having come to a conlusion. The kat turned and began to scamper away from the much larger creature. What she didn't know was that she would not live to see tomorrow.
Oddly formed white eyes glanced towards where the kat had turned to look. He had pressed himself very close to the ground, making him unable to see what was the danger. His other whispered re-assuring words to him that they could not be seen from the river. Venom noticed the kat making her escape. His breathing picked up in frustration, wanting to hiss and cry out in annoyance. To kill slowly whatever caused this disturbance. They knew better and their breathing slowed as they figured out what would be best. The raptor saw a sharp enough rock and made his move.
A speeding shadow overtook the kat and soon the sharp rock was dug right through the kat's skull. They continued their run up one of the trees into a darker heavily leafed area. Dark blue tail curled tentatively as he looked down at the dead kat, hoping this would draw whatever was curious to him. He knew that whatever it was must have smelled him, and keeping the blood on his hands allowed him to be more easily tracked. This way, the stench of the blood would overpower his scent and it could not be traced up the tree. He grinned, thanking his other and promising to have a feast soon enough. They plotted silently in the tree, coming up with reasons to wait as opposed to go after whatever threatened the kat. We won't be taken so easily... Best to see what dares defy us and interrupt our hunt. The kat's blood should help draw it in and keep us safe, but if it touches or eats our meal... it won't live to see tomorrow.
His other squirmed a bit as it tried to hide them better in the tree while still being able to look down at what was occurring. Venom's tongue came out of his mouth, drenched in green saliva. It ran down his face, dripping a little onto the tree he was in. The symbiote continued telling their plans, choosing strategies, and monitoring their body's breathing and noises.

Just before Yanisin could pick up the trail again, the smell of fresh, warm blood enter his notsrils. The smell seemed to overcome him in a way, sending shivers down his spine. Yet, at the same time, he could feel a sense of blood-lust driven thrill swell within him. He smirked, his piercing white, dagger-like teeth glistening in the light. He trekked on ward, now following the scent of blood.
Then one of his four sharp eyes spotted the dead kat further down stream. Cautiously, he slowly walked towards it, his senses on high alert. It wasn't until Yanisin got closer that he realized that his sense of smell was suddenly impaired by the overwhelming smell of blood. Even so, he was sure to try and keep his ears and eyes on high alert.
Finally, he reached the kat, pausing before. Curiously, his bent down to get a closer look at his, his two smaller fore eyes studying it carefully. However, it was only for a moment, before one his his larger hind eyes caught a drop of something as it hit the earth next to him. He glanced at it, soon realizing that it was a green drop of some sort of....saliva? Suddenly, his instincts seemed to go into shot and only one thought entered his mind. Look up.
Quickly, his stood tall once again, his eyes jolting upwards at the tree above him. As soon as he layed eyes on the opposing raptor a deep his escaped his lips as he took a few startled steps back, away from the dead kat. His eyes were locked on the raptor. He could feel a thrilling impulsion beginning to beat through him, something rebellious and daring.

Venom couldn't help but smirk when Yanisin seemed to be all so distracted by the dead kat. His other was correct in knowing that no kimera would turn down the smell of fresh blood. Once the other raptor had looked at something else nearby and known to look up his smirk had been wiped off his face. His lips curled down as he let out his own hiss as well. He could feel the symbiote twitching in anticipation, ready to use a little strength just to get back to his food. He got into the crouch position on the branch we was standing on, ready to pounce if he needed to. The position he was clinging on the tree almost did no seem possible, as if he should be falling off. The dark blue raptor felt his fur stand up slightly as he began to speak.
"We were beginning to wonder when you'd notice us. You noticed the pathetic creature in front of you before you even thought to look for what killed it." A chuckle escaped his lips as he flicked his long pink tongue out slightly.
"It will be such a nice meal for us, so if you want to live, we suggest you get out while you can still walk..."
His other whispered ways to torture the other raptor, to explore more about him. They had never seen such a strange raptor, one with four eyes and spikes. He looks almost delicious.. we could feed on something that big for a while... the two thought. Venom did protest a little, he hadn't quite turned cannibal yet, but power was never something to take lightly.
Tongue rolled about his mouth and over his jaw, causing more drips of greenish saliva to rain down from above. The smell of the kat was making his mouth water and the other raptor was wearing on his nerves just for being there. Keeping them from their meal was never a wise choice since Venom was prone to loosing control on an empty stomach.

( o-o Oh my. This really is a monsterous meeting. )
Yanisin watched him cautiously for a moment, trying to hold back any bold, naive words that may have slipped through his mouth. He had really been an idiot on focusing so much on the kat and not on what had killed in the first place. If he hadn't notice that drop of discusting green saliva, he may have been jumped on and killed by this strange raptor.
Not that he was one to talk or anything, but this certainly wasn't your average raptor. His empty, white eyes were almost two times larger than the eyes of your average raptor. His mouth seemed to flood with that thick, green spit and from the smell of it Yanisin almost wondered if it was toxic. Not to mention the bad feeling that Yanisin felt from this guy...This feeling that he was indeed very powerful and merciless, yet cunning as well. This was truely a formidable opponite.
Yanisin smirked and flicked his tail against the earth, causing the sound of a loud thump to be emitted into the air. Finally he said in a cool tone, "Sorry. I'm just not the type to back down so easily. So tell me, why are you so close to my territory of my pack? You may not be in it just yet, but you are certainly too close for comfort."

(Yup. xD Venom is not known for his true civility or kindness.)
His other spoke reassuring words, regardless of the stubborn mutant raptor below. Venom's frown deepened as he narrowed his eyes at Yanisin. He straightened up for a moment while pulling his tongue in a bit so he could speak more clearly.
"We don't need to explain anything to a fledgling such as yourself but we will humor you," he said before a dark chuckle escaped his lips. "We were merely following our meal. We go where food is... a basic instinct. Obviously defiance is your natural instinct, but it does not amuse or impress us."
A low growl was emitted as he snarled. Quickly he leaped to another nearby tree's branches, making sure the other raptor and his kat were not out of his sight for a second. His other calmed his breathing, and writhed in anticipation. No reason to attack.. although the thump is quite unpleasant. Perhaps we should familiarize ourselves with the enemy. Lull them into a false security and evaluate action. What a grand idea! Venom kept his breathing calm as he tried to speak once more.
"So four eyes... what do you call yourself? And are you the owner of the territory? We are curious..." Dark blue tail flicked cautiously back and forth through the air, waiting for a response from the strange creature below. Claws dug slightly into the tree, making some light scratches.

(( xd Most of my younger characters such as Yanisin tend to be know for being either naive, bold, or a combination of both. >< ))
Yanisin kept his eyes locked on the other, even as he fadded into a shadowy figure in the trees, Yanisin was sure to keep a close eye on him. It wasn't too hard for the young adult. Those four, piercing eyes of his weren't their for nothing.
Although Yanisin was young and indeed, naive to the ways of the outside world, he certainly wasn't stupid. He narrowed his four eyes and in an almost growl-like tone responded, "Why should I tell you anything? You are a completely stranger, not to mention a possible threat to the pack. Why should I give you any information about anything without being given a justified reason to do so?"
Yanisin nostrils' flared slightly as a puff of air escaped from him. He stood tall and balanced on his feet, but his eyes showed caution.

((That's usually how the young tend to be. xD I have mostly older seeming kimera who are cunning but often cruel except for Boaz and Goron who I need to rp at some point since they are young and reckless.))
A grin stayed on his face as he observed the raptor's actions. He has told us much... Perhaps we can use this for some games, and maybe to make him leave us alone. The symbiote flattened against his body, slightly calming him down from all his excitement. Venom leaped down from the tree, managing to land with the kat and Yanisin still in front of him, never taking his eyes off the raptor.
"Ah but you see... By not answering a question you have in fact answered us. We feel as if you have taught us quite a bit." He stood up a little straighter, but was still rather hunched over before he continued. "Aren't you curious as to who we are? We'll answer your question if you answer ours. You don't want us to get bored do you? No, you wouldn't want that..."
After he was done practically whispering the final sentence, he glanced hungrily at the kat. Oh how he wanted to take out this anticipation. The kat or the raptor, he couldn't decide. Shortly, he heard his Other's comforting words float through his mind. A possible threat to the pack? Must not be that great of a pack either that or there are many young foolish raptors like this one. He must not be their leader since he has little to know confidence. Most pack leaders brag about their greatness and don't even mention threats. He is snappish and no problem at all, you have done well. We will be rewarded soon...
Venom wanted to hiss out loud with a battle screech, but felt his other stop his vocal chords. They needed to play the waiting game and they needed to play it calmly. Usually they would be tearing their enemy to shreds, but they hadn't eaten for a while and appeared eerily relaxed. The situation was better, but it was not at its perfect condition. The strike would have to wait a little longer...

Yanisin's eyes narrowed slightly as he hissed slightly to himself with slight frustration. It was clear to him now that this raptor was definatly not all talk. He was smart and cunning. And chances were that he was a brilliant and skilled fighter as well....
Yanisin knew that it was unwise to give in and tell the other what he wanted to know, but as the last of the raptors words slipped from his mouth, Yanisin had felt chills go down his spine. He didn't like the eerie tone of it, it was unnerving. So rather than surrendering information to him or thinking up a better idea, Yanisin naively stood his ground in silence.

((It's okay Faunia. I think its enough to go off of. ;D I have a feeling mine's a little on the short side. O:> ))
Venom was not amused in the least at the other raptor's choice to remain silent. His dark blue tail swished silently back and forth as he studied his adversary. Perhaps we have scared the young one. Frightened him into hesitation... The symbiote whispered an interesting idea to test Yanisin. What a great idea! That should surely help us out... Venom thought further. Lifting his head a bit before cocking it slightly he began to roll in his tongue.
"What's the matter, don't want to talk to us? Or a Kat got your tongue?"
A slight hiss escaped from their chuckle of amusement. It had been a little easier than they thought it would be to come up with a line. Claws dug slightly into the ground as they flexed in anticipation. This would be their last chance before giving in to instincts. A white eye glanced momentarily to the dead kat before going back to stare into the 4 yellow eyes on the other raptor.

Yanisin could feel his jaw beginning to clentch as he read the body postures of the other raptor with his larger, rear eyes. But he kept his foreyes focused on the movements of the others gaze, trying to read his thoughts. He could feel the air around the air slowly growing tenser and tenser, as if the gravity of the earth had desided to pull harder against them. He wasn't sure how he was suppose to handle this guy. He was clearly threatening to the territory boarders...and to himself. He was afraid to speak, afraid to reveal more information to him. But the young raptor knew that if he didn't do something soon this situation would get much worse.
But that's what separated the ordinary from the extrodinary, right? The will to take risks. A thin smirk began to spread across the raptor's jaw as he said a colder, almost cocky tone, "You just wandered here hunting, right? You just want to get that kat for lunch and be on your way, right? Well then go ahead and take your kill and don't come back. Got it?" Yanisin stood taller now as he smacked his tail against the earth again. There was a part of the naive raptor so deep within him that it was hidden from his consious; a part of him that truely wanted to see just how formidable he could be.

Venom was a little shocked that the raptor had chosen to be so bold all of a sudden. His grin did not falter as he stared at Yanisin. Apparently his eyes could move independently of each other in two sets, this could make things a challenge. But Venom was not about to let his guard down since he was on top of his game right now. Let us see how long his boldness lasts.. His eyes can't focus on us forever and I'm sure we can get rid of his confidence in no time... Venom agreed silently in his mind with the symbiote. He straightened up a little, his chin tilting up for a second or two before going back to being level. The dark blue raptor took a few steps past the kat, it was time to move on to better things for the moment.
"We were beginning to wonder if you were ever going to speak.. Glad to see you've decided to join the conversation..." His grin never faded as he continued. "We did in fact come here hunting after this kat. We told you this earlier so we wonder if you are choosing to be ignorant to us? Or perhaps you you are just not listening?"
He continued to approach Yanisin, taking up the most neutral position he could think of. The symbiote rippled across him for a brief second, their anticipation was slowly building for what was to come next. He kept on walking towards the other raptor while hearing the symbiote whisper in his head.We shall see exactly how brave he feels... how far we can test him... Venom nodded in his head as he stopped much less than a foot away. His eyes never left Yanisin as he opened his mouth. Instead of speaking, his unusually long tongue slowly unrolled towards the other raptor, dripping in green saliva. Venom wondered what exactly would happen if Yanisin felt the slime on him, how would he react to that?
((I have been dying for a Venom lick/attempt lick rp scene. These sorts of ideas only show up after midnight. xD ))

Yanisin stood his ground as the other trekked towards him, his sharp eyes locked onto the other. The ice-blue spines that ran down his neck and back began to stand up slightly. He lifted his tail in a bold manner as he flexed his talons. He was still wearing that cunning smirk across on his maw.
Then he saw the other raptor unravel his long, poisious looking tounge. The air was almost instantly filled with a stentch that made Yanisin want to gag. A nervous hiss escaped his lips. He raised his head even more, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto the approching tounge. He didn't like the knotted feeling that had formed in his gut.

((No, his saliva isn't venomous and I'm not sure if it smells, but that would make sense for the odd coloration. O: All I know is that one of the Venom incarnations was shown with green saliva and it was awesome! xD))
Venom noticed that Yanisin was making no real attempt to move away or stop him so he went for it. Slowly he licked his long pink spit covered tongue along Yanisin's neck, slowly making his way up towards his chin. He left behind a nice amount of green saliva along where his tongue had been. Now! The symbiote signaled to its host. Quickly Venom pulled his tongue off the red raptor and put his claws lightly where his tongue had been at the base of Yanisin's neck. The claws rested so lightly on his neck they could barely be felt. His stance was still neutral, but his face showed a different demeanor. A dark and sinister chuckle escaped Venom's mouth as he spoke.
"We don't like taking orders from others... Especially naive raptors who are stubborn and don't learn lessons from their observations." His eyes looked wild as he stared at Yanisin and continued. "We're not sure how much longer we can resist... Back down and we'll give you a head start. We don't mind the wait now that we see your true nature..." He chuckled again, almost a snarl of excitement escaped. "So what will it be? Play our little game and answer our questions, or wait for us to get bored and impatient? Best not to take too long this time."
