i think he was curious to see if they were as satisfying as her blood, or to see if they tasted like what her blood smelled like.

hmm...maybe Edward was curious as to how tears tasted because he hasn't cryed in so long...but he was probably curious as to how good Bella's tears taste to him..it is kinda weird though

I'm quite sure Edward hasn't cried in atleast a hundrad years. So, considering this fact, he probably forgot the smell and taste.
It's also suppose to be romantic. :]

I dont think it has anything to do with him wondering if its like blood. I think its just the fact that he hasnt cried in 108 years and he wonders what tears are like

yeah i think its just becuase he cant remember what its like to cry: the taste and all that good stuff......that and he was probably just curious....i dont think it was suppost to be romantic but it defineteley was sweet...it sorta showed that they have a strong enouph bond for him to just be able to do that without bella freaking out and stuff.....although i think i would be kinda wierded out abit....but then i would realize how adorable he is and forget it mrgreen

It probably was a show of affection.You have to remember it was a while since edward was human .He probably forgot exactly what a tear was.He probably was curious to find out.
