Khan, had wandered off by himself today. In certain places, the snow continued to reside. In others, the snow had started to melt. It was unfortunately that he was located in the latter. He trudged through the soggy grass, until he had reached high ground that was fortunately, dry. He sighed, with disappointment. Not certainly how he had wanted to start the day.

But it was a lie to say he didn't enjoy the weather. Others would not, but he enjoyed the cloudy days that brought a chilly air. He just didnt enjoy the after effects of the weather.

"Hey, are you just going to stand around all day?" Mushu asked impatiently, tagging behind the black stallion's heels. "I could have drowned back there!" He said affrontedly.

"Aw, but we know that you impossible to kill. Are you not the mighty Mushu?" He raised an eyebrow. Such flattery didn't suit him, especially with the same sex, but anything to shut him up.

Soggy ground was never something that the rainbow alicorn liked. It was his first Christmas that had just passed and while the snow was lovely (if not, like his mother said, bitey) he had enjoyed it. For the most part. Now came the difficult portion of the journey - trying not to let his legs sink into the ground and snap.

And keep an eye out for those snow two-leggers that his mother warned him about. Terribly nasty little buggers, they were. Sharp sticks as weapons. He was too busy keeping an eye out for the nuisances to notice there was another stallion about...At least until he heard the two voices (one sounding oddly close to the ground, and too small to be a foal) which made him jump, rear back, and almost fall flat on his rear.

"AHH!"

Khan jerked back, to find the source of the sound. "Aahhh?" he inquired, looking around until his eyes settled on a slightly pale rainbow..? stallion. Taking a double take, he realized that he would never choose be rainbow. Much more prefer to die than that, you know?

"Whos that?" Mushu said, scampering over to the stallion that had fallen.

".. No idea." Khan murmured to the small ferret, before speaking outloud "My, oh my. I enjoy surprises, but I'm afraid that I don't veer towards guys. I'm sorry." he said with an amused laugh, standing right above the stallion now. His gaze looked down towards the fallen stallion's face as he inspected it. "And aside from your gender, you are not my taste at all."

He no longer questioned the things that soquili had on them, like the wings and the horn this stallion had. He had seen it far too often to be surprised anymore. But he was certainly amused at the different entrances each soquili had made for themselves. Their traits might have been the same, but their personalities? Never.

Meanwhile, Mushu who was rolling in laughter now at Khan's words replied "Not to admit all that hair! I think you need a haircut."

Kileyo managed to catch his breath and roll onto his side, his poor butt. It hurt. And his back too, damn it! "Don't worry," Kileyo said cheerfully, not phased at all about the speech of gender preferences, "You're not my type either. May be my father's, but honestly, there's not many that swing that way, I'm afraid. Very unfortunate."

There was a beaming smile sent Khan's way as the stallion pushed himself up onto his hooves again, shaking himself to rid himself of the water running down his coat. Ah, he seemed to have inherited the nonchalant attitude from his adopted father and the slight paranoia from his mother. The poor stallion.

Khan, not Kileyo.

Eyes traveled down to look at Mushu, brow arching, "I rather enjoy my hair, little lizard-thing."

Well, he DID have a similar coloration to one of those geko lizards he saw at one point. Or was that a salamander? Newt? Something like that. Sort of.

"Little Lizard thing? I'll have you know that I am a DRAGON." Slithering up in Khan's pocket saddle, he flicked his blue tounge at the other stallion, with a scowl.

How offending, he was the hero of china, but here he was being called a LIZARD.

Taking advantage of the silence that followed, Khan answered "I'd hate to interrupt on a family thing, but I prefer the young type. Not the type that has kids." Winking to the other stallion good naturedly, he had to admit. This stallion had finesse. But the smile he sent his way made a few warning bells go off in Khan's head.

Taking care not to show what he felt, he continued "But unfortunate. Shall I assume there will be nothing untoward that will be happening then? Of course, it would be nothing on my part." Steeping backwards to avoid the water that the other stallion was shaking out, he took a closer look at Kileyo. Nope. His opinion had not changed. He would die first, than to be him.

But that remained in Khans thoughts as he arched an eyebrow, "SO. What was with the crash landing? The snow? or your indeficiency? Many would say its the first option, but there should always be a second option, dont you think?"

"Lizard." Kileyo said offhandedly, ignoring the familiar now as it really didn't amuse him all that much. He could easily stomp him out should he truly wish to do so. His tail flicked, sending a spray of water toward Mushu, though, as a final 'statement'.

"Ah, so you like stallions after all!" He said with a laugh, "My father is young, indeed. But he adopted my sister and I when we were found as abandoned baskets." There was no sadness to it. He'd long ago come to terms with the fact that he had adoptive parents and he adored them both very much. "As for anything untoward, no, not at all! I'm completely and utterly into nobody at all, mare or otherwise, thank you!"

Which was quite true. Kileyo wasn't completely against the idea of 'love' like his adoptive mother was, mostly thanks to Safi, but hell if he actually went out looking for it.

"I wasn't expecting you," he said by way of answer, giving an off-handed shrug (as much as a horse could) before flicking the last of the water he could off of him.

Mushu, sputtering at the water glared at Kileyo, and dissapeared with a hmph! in to the bag. Muttering to himself, he settled with no intention of coming back out, not until Khan was done with that stallion at least!

"Watch it, will you?" Khan said mildly, but not worried. " But I do not like stallions. Much less your father. Adoptive or not. That does not change the fact he is your father. I don't dally with mothers, much less a father." His tail swaying gently in the wind, he much better liked females.

"And so Assuredly, we have established the fact that I I do not like stallions. But shall I introduce you to some females that have caught my attention? They might service your needs as well." Khan added with a rougish smile. His words were dispelled however, by Kileyo's words.

"What a waste." He pondered the stallions words. "Then does this mean you prefer .. both then?" Widening his eyes in mock surprise, and the pause placed purposely, he laughed softly. The comment had been purely intentional, as a payback towards his other comment.

Enjoying the bantering with Kileyo now, he grinned at his answer. "Good answer. Most would sputter at the first one, and considering how our conversation has gone so far.." Feigning a thoughtful look, "I like you, I do indeed. But unfortunately for you, as a friend."

Kileyo inwardly smirked at Mushu's reaction, though schooled his face into indifference. Ah, so he had inherited his mother's way of affecting people after all. Khan's speech simply amused him, though, allowing his head to tilt to the side slightly.

"Not at all. I simply prefer neither. Romance isn't high on my priority, and not a waste in the least bit. There are better things to do than flit around from mare to mare, I think. Like hunting for those evil b*****d snow twoleggers!" Oh, he'd be admonished greatly for the language should he be near his parents, but he wasn't. And he was a grown stallion to do as he pleased, thank you very much!

"Ah, not an unfortunate thing at all. Should you like me as anything else, I'm supposing I'd have to watch myself and leave this conversation backwards rather than forwards." Charming smile.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 30, 2007 6:18 pm

"Romances? Never considered it that, but one could see it that way." With a casual shrug, he accepted the other stallion's thinking. To each their own, after all. "Seems like our priorities lie in a different place. In my case, I like those two leggers. Why, have they done something to you?" He wasn't surprised at the other stallion's language. After all, those words were in his vocabulary, albeit with very limited use.

"I don't agree, but its not my place to disagree. Doubt you'd care either way." he added with a contemplating look. "No, I dont think you would at all."

"Then we should count it as fortunate. After all, it'd be a waste of time for me to have been standing here talking to you, and in the end, the conversation would have backtracked backwards."

"But lets begin with the forward. I haven't caught your name, have I? Mines is Khan, but I'll neglect to tell you my little companion's name since he seems to have an avid dislike towards you. At the moment."

"It's not two leggers that annoy me," Kileyo said, "It's the snow two leggers. They have sharp, pointy sticks that they plot your demise with. Mother said so." And he'd seen it for himself, too! They stood all still, camouflaged in the snow, waiting to pounce at or stab with the pieces of wood they called arms.

Evil. Conniving. Things.

"Indeed. I'm Kileyo, Khan. Nice to meet you. Sort of. It's been interesting, anyway. Nothing at all like I would have expected, then again, I wasn't expecting to meet you anyway so I suppose it would be kind of moot!" It seemed as though talking in circles was something that the colorful stallion had inherited from his parents after all.

"Snow-ed two leggers?" He tilted his head. "I .. suppose that you could say that." The Huns in China had been similar, if he recalled correctly. But the last part had caught his eye, as he said idly "Mother? I dont supposed that your one of those motherly stallion types?"

His head whirling in circles as the stallion's next words, Khan could almost believe he had a headache. What a unique stallion this was. Most people did think in similar ways, but they had never voiced it in such a confusing way. "Meeting you is anything but boring, I would think. " (@@;; ) "And well. Its a sorta nice to meet you also. " In an interesting way, at least. "Anyways, we've established your Kileyo and I'm Khan. We both have a name that starts with a K, but I suppose the similarities end there."
