-Lavi sits with his arms folded in the tree as his left wing still dangles limp.-
Elspeth walks through tall grass, her hair ruffled around her face, and her hands held up as if to catch any stray drops of moisture that may fall upon her.
-Lavi looks over in her direction and watches her-
The petite fairy is not aware really of who is watching her, though she can tell that someone seems to be interested if not in her, than in her direction. Pausing while standing on her toes she turns her head, looking for a moment as though she is looking over her shoulder. "Is someone there?"
-Lavi sounded slightly bitter but sighed and stated- "It's only me."
Elspeth was nothing if not sensitive to the things she heard. She bit her lower lip and folded her hands to her chest. "Oh.. Lavi? Forgive me. I was just passing." Her cheeks flushed and she lowered herself fully to the soft grass. "I.. hope you are not still too mad at me?"
-Lavi didn't understand why she was acting the way she was.- "....Elspeth you did nothing wrong, besides this isn't my land... so your free to roam it just like I. I'll leave so you can enjoy your self." -Lavi then grabbed a hold the branch and kicked off the trunk of the tree and landed on the ground since he was unable to fly still.-
Elspeth tipped her head to the side and lifted one gloved hand to her lips. "As you said, this is a free land, you need not leave for me to enjoy myself, do you?" She was baffled. This must be why she had so few friends. Few? Heck she only really had Pete that came to speak to her more than once.
-Lavi looked at her then at the tree as he fold his wings but his left one stayed out stretched. He then sounded a little less bitter- "I suppose your right.... so did you and Pete talk?"
Elspeth nodded and took a deep breath. Yes, we spoke, I am not sure what is going to happen because of it. He told me some of his feelings and I have no idea what to do." She shifted and bowed her head. "I... know what he wants, but I am not sure I can deal with sharing a person. It seems kind of strange. He is my best friend though."
-Lavi thought for a moment...- "It's hurting him isn't it..." -he then sat down in front of the tree as he pondered what she just said.-
Elspeth turned her head in his direction, or at least a foot or two above where his head was. "I think it is. I am not too certain but he seemed upset too." This seemed to be something that was upsetting more than one person. "I.. do not think I can be with him.... But I do not want him mad either."
-Lavi looked at her with his eyes..- "But is this harming you..." -lavi thought thinking aloud hopeing to get an answer.-
Elspeth shifted and slid down to sit on the grass. "I guess it is. He is my friend, the only one that had ever showed me kindness. I was hurt... and he came." She tipped her head to the side. "That is love right? I am not sure." She flushed, realizing her error. She had no idea what love was. Maybe that was HER mistake. If she didn't know, how could she be sure that was what she was feeling toward her friend?
-Lavi started to realize that she was just as lost as he was..- "You ok Elspeth..." -Lavi didn't know what to say... cause he really didn't understand it either, and he looked up the sky-
Elspeth sighed. "I just don't know what is going on. No one else was ever that nice to me." She chewed her lip. "Lavi.. do you love him?"
-Lavi looked at her and then at the ground- "You know you really shouldn't bite your lips... they become chapped ..." -Lavi then thought for a moment.- "It's just a stupid crush."
Elspeth blinked. "What is a crush?" She curled her arms around her knees and rested her head on the top of them. "I know my brother and Hydeto are always... um, trying to make babies."
-Lavi looked oddly at her- "Not sure what you mean by that, but I think a crush is where you think you like someone but over a period of time doubts turn you to not to love the person as much. ... " -lavi looked at the the leaves of the tree.- "It's just like Selena.."
"OH" Elspeth's hair ruffled back as she listened to the bugs moving around her. She nodded slowly. "I guess what this is.. a crush." She took a deep breath. "Since I am not sure what I am supposed to do." She smiled weakly. "I. hope you understand better than I."
-Lavi bit the side of his lip with his fangs to stop from crying- "Truth is i really don't understand...." "I awoke one day to Pete's song... and he showed me how to fly to a song when I was a surprise.... He helped me through hard times when I didn't understand everything ... and I felt alone...where even Kirou hated me..." -Lavi pierced his lip and blood dripped.- "And I know he did the same for you It's in his eyes to always be happy with his song... to help... even when most turn him away cause of his interests." "And I am no different for those that casted him away in the first place."
Elspeth nodded. "I sang to Pete and he flew with me. We danced in the air. I can not see to fly so he guided me." She smiled warmly. "I hear your sadness in your voice. It seems to me your feelings are much more strong than my own. I want to help you. I think, I had the crush. You don't seem to be one that felt that way." She rose to her feet, slowly walking toward Lavi. "Maybe, you need to talk to him more?"
-Lavi looked at her a bit confused what she just said- "But you met him first and knew him longer than I" "Besides he is much older then me. and he wants both of us..""If I am right."
Elspeth's musical laughter sounded in the air. "I do not think I can share a love. I am not the kind. I .. am very... not jealous, but I would be sad." She smiled weakly. "Length of time does not reflect closeness. I have known my brother all my life, and still am not close to him."
-Lavi felt a bit weaken now more than ever- "but Pete...." -lavi was scared he done something wrong again-
The girl knelt down in the grass and waited. "Pete what?" She looked a little confused. "I know he is open to love many, that is who and what he is, but I am not able to. I have known him long and he is a great and close friend. I think that is how I love him, as a deep deep friend."
-Lavi looked at his wing and then Elspeth- "you think he would of talked to me by now..on his own ... that's if he.. really wanted to try .. right...?" -His hesitance was known and very insecure-
Elspeth laughed softly. "Silly, it took him a long time to get back to me, and he said he wanted to. Pete forgets things easy." She smiled more and lay back on the ground. "He puts things off so bad."
-Lavi watched her- "So how should I talk to him?"
Elspeth smiled. "Seek him out and say you would really like to talk to him to understand things better." She ran one hand through her hair. "He will either talk or not. Then you find out how he feels, and see if it helps you know how you feel."
"Is this why your doing this...?" -Lavi cleared the blood off his lip-
El looked confused. "Is what why I am doing what?" She looked toward him, though she could see nothing.
-Lavi smiled slightly though it has been his first smile since the conflict.- "Nothing Elspeth...Would you like to come with me?"
Elspeth shook her head, her own smile on her lips. "I would but this is something you and he need to work out alone at first." She lay in the grass and hummed. "I wish yoy the best Lavi. I would like to one day be a good friend of yours."
-Lavi stood up and walk over to her and sat next to her.- "Why would you say something like that when we were already friends."
Elspeth blinked her blind eyes. "I had figured, you seemed that you did not want me around."
... no.. I didn't want myself to be around... just in case I sadden you some how.
Elspeth shook her head. "I do not really understand that, since I thought that when you were sad was the most important time to be with others." She took a deep breath. "that is when I feel I need someone with me, so I .. don't feel so alone."
- Lavi then mumbled- "I thought you didn't like me."
Elspeth blinked and giggled. "I don't hate anyone."
-Lavi then thought- "ok dislike..."
The girl laughed. "Why would I dislike someone I barely know?" She played with grass.
-Lavi sounding a little happier now- "I don't know I guess it was kinda silly."
Elspeth smiled. "Talk to him Lavi, work things out. I will be here in the grass waiting when all is done."
-Lavi looked at Elspeth for a moment- "I will but first you need to sit up..."
Elspeth blinked and slowly sat up, her wings flexing a little. "Sit up? Am I laying in something bad?"
-Lavi slowly and gently gave her a hug- "Thank you..."
The petite girl giggled and hugged him back. "You are welcome, though I am not sure what you are thanking me for." She smiled and fluttered her wings more.
-he flinched a bit cause of his wing but ignored it.- "Your a lot of help. and I think you just stop me from becoming something I really don't want to be right now."
The fae smiled. "I.. guess that is a very good thing. I would not want to have anyone become something they do not want to be." She sang a little happy tune and leaned to kiss his cheek.. or try to at least.
- He turned his cheek to her lips and blushed a bit- "your going to be ok waiting right?"
Elspeth gave a gentle nod. "Yes I will be fine here. I have been alone a long time, usually out in a field somewhere. this is nothing to me. Just go and see him, work things out."
-Lavi slowly let go and stood up- "ok I'll try."
She smiled again waving to Lavi. "I will be here when you return."
-Lavi kindly smiled again- "ok ...I'll come back to see you."
