He'd wandered further away from home than he was used to but so far it had seemed to be a worthwhile adventure. He'd run into Amary again a while back and he'd gotten to stretch his wings a bit.
He now found himself staring over a cliff face and down onto waves crashing into the rocks. It smelt odd out here, like he was tasting salty rocks only he wasn't licking anything, but it was pretty.
The wind off the cliff ruffled his wings and it tickled slightly. It was a new sensation. Almost like flying but not quite.

She stretched her wings out and hummed to herself. It was bright and crisp and perfect to be out in the sun wandering around above the beach. She could see her sister down in the water playing with the fish from where she was and grinned. Ela was weird but at least her form of weird made her happy.
Tossing her curls she headed along the cliff face until she spotted a figure she didn't recognize. That most certainly wasn't Kal.
"So i've gone from the spook to Mr. Tall and Dark." She grinned at the stallion as she moved closer to where he was standing staring down at the ocean.

He jumped as he heard someone speaking to him. It wasn't a voice he'd heard before and if it wasn't for the fact that he was the only one around he wasn't sure she was even talking to him.
Raising a wing so he could shade his eyes he looked toward the voice and the mare standing a bit away from him. Grinning he turned and bowed to her slightly.

"Well hello to you too." She snorted slightly as she watched him bow. At least he'd done that even if he hadn't greeted her. Some stallions just didn't have any manners at all.
"Haven't ever seen you around here. Something catch your eye?" Generally everyone stayed away from the beach thanks to the salt. Even some of her younger siblings had left because of it. New comers were always interesting.

He blinked at her for a moment until he realized that she was commenting on the fact that he hadn't said anything. "Hello." He tucked his wings back behind him as he shifted so he could see her better.
Tilting his head he looked back down at the water and nodded before returning his gaze to her. The water had sounded interesting when he'd first picked up the sound of it and he had wanted to come investigate. Now he was still here because everything was odd and he wanted to explore it.

If it hadn't been for the fact that he at least responded somehow she might have thought she was talking to a rock. "Water's nice. A little on the horribly cold side if you ask me."
Listening to it was alright. It was easier for her to go to sleep when she could hear the waves crashing.

He'd rolled around in a stream for a while to get dust off him and that had been cold so he could imagine that the water down there was cold too. At least it wouldn't be cold for too much longer. Mom said that it would be spring soon and that he'd be able to splash about in the ponds all he wanted.
He doubted his siblings would agree that was a good past time but oh well. They just didn't know how to have fun.
"Cold refreshing though"

"No, usually the cold is just cold." She shivered at the thought of rolling around in the stuff. She hated taking baths unless she could find the few hot springs. Cold wings were one of her least favorite things so far.
"You have a name Mr. Talk and Dark?"

Name, right. Hadn't Amary said something about not introducing himself? "Sigao." He nodded and smiled at her. He was probably suppose to ask for hers too but usually if someone was going to tell you they'd tell you. So she'd tell him if she had the intention of telling him in the first place.

"Sigao hm?" Sounded a little odd. Nothing like what she heard the few two-leggers she'd come across saying. Must have meant that his family was from somewhere else not anywhere near here. Strangers.
Well to be fair her family was pretty strange so she couldn't really fault him for that. "Van, full name's too long to deal with so don't worry about it."

Van? He wondered what the rest of her name was but she had said it was long and pointless and he really didn't know if he should bother asking. She might not even tell him if he did ask.
He stretched out his wings a bit when a strong breeze swept up the cliffs and smiled as his feathers ruffled. He'd probably regret all the salt in his wings later but he could just take a bath.
