Pink pads lifted before falling back down into the water, feeling the liquid material glide past the appendage like silk against flesh, and as the pressure of the leg shifted, slip stuck between each pad. The mud was not unpleasant; after all with each expulsion from the mire the wolf was able to wash his paws in the creek as he moved slowly along. The water reached up touching his belly flowing smoothly there almost tickling him, but his focus hardly lingered on the sensation. Brilliant baby blue orbs matched the hues of the rippling waters almost changing along with the surface that reflected clouds above and green trees beside the winding snake of a rivulet. Cyan swirls wrapped up the wolf's legs matching the surface.

Pausing, the wolf turned his chin upwards and stared blankly at the heavens above. Saeldur, as he was titled, lived here along the brook hunting when he pleased and traveling when he felt the need. He was happy here, or at least that was what he forced himself to believe, but what joy could be granted when living a life in isolation? Some perhaps could thrive with a life the one he had fashioned for himself, but being a relatively social creature, Saeldur longed for interaction with another wolf. Even though this was true, he denied every bit.

This was foolish for multiple reasons, but Sael never stopped to pause on the damage being done. Every time he felt the slight tickling of loneliness he put himself in some sort of situation as to distract his mind. He needed to gain strength in himself and trot into the real world, away from his secluded paradise, and introduce himself to life as others new it and start a new adventure.

Perhaps today would be the day he would put that first paw forward.

Bishop moved slowly through the woods, ears flat on his head, shoulders slumped. He was a fool. Of course, he knew better than to try and take down a healthy deer on his own, but hunger had temporarily made him forget. He'd chased it for quite a while trying to tire it out, but when he came in close, preparing to make a lunge, the deer had unleashed a kick that hit him full in the face and sent him reeling backwards.

The wolf wiggled his bruised nose and snorted. Lesson learned. That was the last time he'd try something like that. He sighed as he came to the edge of a creek, pausing there briefly before stepping into the water, stirring up mud from the bottom. Standing in the middle of the creek, he took a long drink, lapping up the water with his tongue before he lifted his head again, letting the water drip off his chin.

Then he saw something silver, moving along the creek ahead. It was another wolf. The red and blue male seemed to brighten immediately, his lost meal temporarily forgotten at the idea of company. He started to move toward the other wolf, lurching through the water clumsily. "Hi."

((I'm actually glad you joined. Nice post and Bishop is gorgeous))

The slosh of water against a solid form alerted the silver canine to the presence of the other wolf, well before words were spoken or the contrasting red of his brilliant fur came into the sight of the baby blue eyed youth. Large ears pulled back briefly as a cautious stare crept into his gaze as he inspected the stranger, noting the bruise on his blue and red muzzle. The gold eyes looked friendly and his voice seemed to agree. Giving a wag of cyan tipped tail, a gentle smile crept onto his maw...how long had it been since he met with another wolf? His childhood had allowed him to meet a shy femme, but since than none had wandered across his path.

"Hello," he replied, lifting his head a little, feeling a few droplets of the clear liquid drip down to sprinkle the surface of the water, causing a myriad of ripples. He took a single step closer to the new male. But what to say? Did he act nonchalant or enthusiastically? Inwardly he was thrilled, so was that how he was supposed to act, or would he end up scaring away the wolf if he openly showed his joy? Finally deciding, he started with a name.

"I'm Saeldur, what's your name?" he asked gently, wagging his tail much like a dog.

(( Thanks. x3 This one's not so great. xD ))

He stopped a few feet away from the silver wolf, tail wagging slowly behind him. "I'm Bishop, it's nice to meet you Saeldur." He took a moment to get a look at the new wolf. Now that he was closer he could see the cyan markings. The blue and red male really needed to start being more cautious when he approached strangers though. Not all wolves were friendly, he knew that, just seemed to forget often. This wolf seemed friendly though, so no harm done.

Bishop moved to the right, stepping out of the water and shaking himself off carefully. He looked around, taking in the surrounding area before sitting down at the edge of the creek, looking at Saeldur. "Do you live around here?" He asked, tilting his head to the side curiously.

He nodded his head as if to bow and repeated the name accordingly, not only to acknowledge his welcome but to also further his chances in remembering Bishop's name at a later time. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Bishop," were his words as he raised his head back up, pointing his muzzle at the other wolf as he watched him silently for a moment, never good with starting conversation. Sael was lucky to have run into someone with friendly intentions which he was most thankful for.

The red and blue canine pulled from the water. Shifting his weight, the silver creature didn't care to move from the downright cold spring, feeling comfortable within it for now, but as if to follow Bishop he took a step toward the shore and there he stood, allowing his tail to drop onto the surface of the calm creek.

"Yeah, I suppose you could say that," he answered, looking about as he spoke before returning his eyes forward. "I wandered here when I was young and didn't know where else to go so I settled down here." Cocking his head to the side, he wondered more so about the stranger. Where had he come from and was he simply passing through? "Do you live nearby?"

Bishop nodded slowly as the other wolf spoke. "Are there others, or do you live here alone?" He was trying to pry, just curious. He found it hard to imagine growing up alone, though he was alone most of the time.

"I don't have a place I call home," he said shaking his head in answer to the question. "Mostly I just wander and sleep where ever I can find shelter." He figured it was easier to meet others if he moved around than if he stayed in one place. If he settled down in one place others would likely pick up on his scent and avoid the area, thinking maybe they were intruding. Still, he often got very lonely.

But, he had company now, so for the moment there was no point in dwelling on all that stuff. The only thing that could keep him down now was his hunger, and even that was forgotten for the moment.

Shaking his muzzle, he closed his blue eyes and pulled his ears to the side to express his answer physically. "I am alone here and have been for some time...that's alright though. And I'm glad you happened to fall upon me here," he answered him, listening to his reply at the same time. Moving to his left, he waded through the water, growing tired of the cold sting at his paws.

"It must be pretty interesting traveling...do you come across many wolves in your travels?" It seemed Bishop was a loner like himself, but considerably different. One stayed put and hoped for wolves to meet him while the other went out and met others on his own not depending upon them to run into him. It was quite intriguing to the silver canine.

Both were lonely creatures but now at least there seemed some time to sooth the longing for contact with their own kind.

((I hope you don't mind if I throw Gracia out. She needs to meet others something aweful.))

Trotting through the trees the Baby Ruth logoed blue and white femme moved with small strides. She had snuck off on this day, for the den was clean and her alpha brother was with their sister talking to the alpha of another pack. Knowing that the meeting would be a while, Gracia decided that on this day she would just take a small trek about, out of her brother's pack.

Blue ears twirled about on the top of the dark blue crown, but soft light blue eyes peered out towards the brush about her small frame. The omega heard the sound of water trickling in the same place of two voices. Voices that sounded friendly enough, and having a self-absorbed brother, Gracia V-lined towards the creek.

He nodded understandingly, and then smiling slightly. "Well, I'm glad I happened here too. It's always fun to meet knew faces." Bishop watched as Saeldur waded through the water, then rolling his shoulders in a shrug said: "I guess you could say that, though not nearly as often as I like. I'd much rather join up with a pack if I could find one..."

He was silent for a moment, looking around before his gaze settled back on the silver wolf. "It seems nice here though. I could stay for a while if you wanted?" Saeldur seemed to enjoy company as much as he did, and he seemed friendly.

Then, a light breeze blew past bringing with it a scent. His blue ears perked up and he turned his head in that direction, sniffing the air before turning back to the silver wolf questioningly, wondering if he'd noticed it too.

((It's perfectly alright Brown ^__^ I'm glad you're joining))

A pack. What would pack life be like and could the silver canine handle living under the rule of another. He was never really ambitious nor the dominant type so he doubted he would have many issues being controlled, but did he have what it took to handle the responsibilities of what a pack demanded? He wanted companionship...but should be dreaming for something more like Bishop?

"Hmm..." he muttered as he shook himself in the water. "I've never been part of a pack...but it may be interesting. I'm sure if you meet find a pack, Bishop, they'd be willing to take you in. You seem friendly enough," he gave a cheerful smile that only brightened more when the red and blue wolf suggested staying for a while. Ecstatically he nodded, but hesitated, wondering if confiding Bishop here with him would really be good for the wolf. It was true he was lonely, but would it be selfish asking him to stay?

"If you would like to stay I'd certainly wouldn't oppose it," he answered him before his ears twitched, swiveling to the side and his nose pointed in the air. The scent had wanted to him as well briefly and as he looked to the other canine he realized he hadn't imagined the scent.

"I wonder..." he thought, curious as to who else would be joining them. What an odd day it was; to meet two wolves at once was simply brilliant to the silver wolf.

((Thank you, This is a pleasure getting to rp with both you and Dark for the first time.))

Pausing to catch the trail of at least another wolf, the light blue sapphires moved through the brush, winter coat heavy on her delicate and petite frame. Gracia felt the wind ruffle across her fur and drift off towards were the two strangers talked.

Crunch would have a fit if he ever found out about this outing. It was hard enough to just walk around the pack's territory without someone barking orders, but then again Gracia also loved her family dearly and wouldn't change them for the world. Besides she even had met two of her cousins, lovely males and very helpful.

Oh well, walking around the bushes, the blue head rose slightly as the light eyes looked at the two males. She felt horrible for intruding, but they seemed nice enough, after all they hadn't growled like Twix or Crunch use to at strangers.

"Hello," her voice was soft, but tender, like one that had a heart big enough to accept even the most vile of creatures. "Sorry to intrude, but I was just passing though" she appologized quickly, not wanting to offend either of the two larger males.

Bishop stood up slowly as the female came into sight. "Hi there!" He said, giving her a friendly smile. "It's fine. You're not intruding at all." His tail wagged behind him a bit to prove his point. He was thrilled that another wolf had run into them, and she seemed friendly too. This was turning into a great day, and this morning he hadn't thought that possible.

"What's your name?" He asked the blue and white femme. "I'm Bishop, this is Saeldur." He motioned to the silver wolf.

Like the reddish toned wolf, Saeldur was pleased with the female's appearance as well as her seemingly friendly nature. Even her pose tended to suggest her submissive tendencies so even though she smelled of other wolves he hardly worried about the consequence of her having come into these lands. A warm smile spread across his maw and he nodded when Bishop introduced them to the young femme.

"It's a pleasure, Miss....?" he waited for a name along with Bishop, clearly curious. The waters were finally growing to cold for his thin body and as he slide from the mire and came upon the shore he shook himself as if to relieve himself of most of the water and then lifted a paw, licking away the bit of mud that was still caked there, trying to relieve himself of it. Luckily most was washed away as he pulled from the icy water. Even so, his blue eyes were locked on the deeper blue Gracia except for the occasional glance to Bishop who was also his guest here.

What an amazing day it was. It had been months since his last encounter with anyone and now he met two wolves in one day.

Tail wavering behind her at the introductions and friendly greetings, Gracia felt relief at knowing there were actually others with kind souls about. Giving a bright smile, but not raising her head much, the two-toned femme finished off the sentence for the silver male.

"Gracia. I'm called Gracia from my family," she stepped closer to the others. Complete strangers to one another it seemed, well besides the time that they had come together to make introductions. Just the same as they appeared to be loners of sorts.

Shame, she thought, two nice wolves without others to call family. That saddened her abit, though the smiles on both Saeldur and Bishop's maws made her smile widen.

"Pleasure to come across you both," Gracia added in her dainty warm voice.

Family. Now that wasn't something he'd had in a long time. Not since they'd been seperated, and he doubted he would ever find them again, so he pushed that from his mind.

"Gracia..." He repeated, storing the name in his memory. "It's a pleasure." The blue and red male nodded to her before settling himself into a sitting position again, glancing between his two potential friends.

"So, you live with your family?" He asked Gracia. He'd heard her mention family, and he could smell other wolves mixed with her scent, so he assumed she lived somewhere nearby. It kind of an obvious question, but a conversation starter at least?
