Since the guild is starting to get.... I would like to ask a question? Other than cosplaying have you ever done anything that would make you look like a complete nerd? For Example, you know when Celes has her big musical number in Final Fantasy VI? When I am alone, I sing along to it. sweatdrop What are the neardiest things you have done?

Well...
I often compare things in real life to different cliches/tropes/whatever you want to call them in any type of media. It doesn't help that I sometimes read the TV Tropes wiki...
I can name different terminology of anime (such as character types, names of demongraphics, and the like) at any time. For instance, I know what a yandere, a tsundere, moe, a meganekko, seinen, shonen, shojo, josei, seme, uke, and other terms ALL are.
I spend most of my evenings watching Adult Swim, especially the anime.
I sometimes say "OMG" in real life.
I read manga, and other such things which people call nerdy.
I get upset most of the time whenever someone makes a movie based on something, such as a book, and they change it a LOT. Or when 4Kids dubs something... (most of the time, I don't mind dubs, and would sit down to watch them, as long as they don't change it too much, but anything by 4Kids... *shudder*)
I spend lot of time online.
I'm a bit of a bookworm.
I know a lot of pointless things that wouldn't matter if I didn't know.

I say "auau" IRL a lot... sometimes "~nanodesu" if I'm bored and am using that particular character's voice. xD ... I do most of Aine does. Look at her post.  Oh yeah, and I <3 cosplay. If I had the money, that would be all I wore all the time. I know where to download the Vocaloid program... although it's just a trial version and it only lasts for a month. (I consider this nerdy, lol) I memorize anime themes. Sometimes it isn't even on purpose. >< And then I try to sing along. rofl

Oh dear, let's see...
I'm a bookworm.
I've been playing paid MMORPGs since I was about 10.
I don't watch dubbed anime because it's dubbed. D:
I know like a thousand anime songs and can sing along with them, or sing some of them without the songs playing.
I have anime figurines. emo
I read manga.
I took Japanese for about a year before my teacher moved.
I love the Lord of the Rings. I have about 9 LOTR posters, but they're not up ATM.
I love Harry Potter. I have a Harry Potter cardboard standup in my room and a million other things. 8D; I wear Harry Potter merchandise.
I know some Elvish, or did know, I'm really rusty now.
I use internet lingo IRL.
I can play "Another Side, Another Story" from Kingdom Hearts on piano, and I plan on learning the rest of them. (Along with a lot of other video game and anime songs. ninja )
I love Transformers. <3
AND OH ROLEPLAYING. BEEN DOING THAT FOR YEARS. xd

Pshaw! Anime nerds =/= REAL NERDS
I am a real nerd. Sure I enjoy anime and such but that just adds to my nerdiness.
The #1 thing you must have to be a true nerd:
You have to have been made fun of by a majority in Jr. High or High School.
I've been roleplaying since I was about eleven. I own at least thirty total comic books/manga.
I've loved Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Justice League, and X-Men since BEFORE the movies.
I've been called a Nerd by my thirty year old former Band Teacher who is now my Game Master in a Dice Roleplay I am part of.
I love all types of video games.
I enjoy reading to a crazy extent. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Science Fiction Novels, you name it.
I've seen every episode of Red vs Blue and can quote most of it.
In order to be a true nerd, you can't just be an Anime Nerd. You have to be Comics, Video Games, Movies, Anime, Roleplaying... ect as well.

D: I can't type in the japanese characters to make the lyrics and when I do they come up as ?? so I can't use it. I don't know phonetics. I'm on the computer. That's nerdy. I have an entire overflowing bookshelf of manga. I have a papercraft Master Chief helmet on my desk. I'M PLAYING A GAME ENTIRELY IN JAPANESE. (Ryuusei No Rockman 2: Beserk x Shinobi)

I can speek more japanease then Hdog, who is half japanease.
I tend to not notcie that i am not speeking english after a wile, and people reaaly stare at me for it.
I snorted the other day. that was scary.
I bought a wandbook today just for the wand.
I cosplay, on haloween, or any random excusse I get, and at cons, and I normaly stay in carictor.
I Rp. nuff said. Have since I was 13 and I'm 17 now xD;
Books make me happygasm. Serisley, buy me books D<
I may not own most of my own manga...but whenever Im in a bookstor i sit down and read it till people force me to leave, or barrow it from friends.
I watch dubs on mute for the prity art sometimes.
Or just leave the sound on and make fun of the crappy voices.
Did i menchion sitting for borders for howers reading books to the point that my mom now leaves and comes back latter??? /to pore to buy her own books
When I'm reading something that I rly injoy, you can axuley tuch my ears or do just about anything and I won't notice. Not even a gismo noise.
I take pride in the fact that I can have a desent japanease acent when i realy get at it ^^

I used to have councling cuz they made fun of me in middle and grade school. By the school. During lunch. That sucked.
I dress up to go to the Harry Potter opnings. Then run to the backroom of borders so nowhone spoils anything.
I sobed when most of the people in HP died.
I took Ap Euro cuz I liked the content.
I used to end my medival history teacher's sentinces. It was saadley nerdy.
I used to play AQ.
I cry when my computer brakes.
I can't go a day without internet and stay sagne, its been proven xD;

BHK fails to see how singing a song in a or playing a game in a foreign language not to mention speaking a foreign language qualifies as an aspect of a nerd neutral
Because BHK speaks five languages, so does that make him like a super nerd or somethin'?

Ezzy sews cosplays. Ezzy gets mad at herself when she misses miniscule details.
Ezzy is planning on fabricating a Link doll complete with sword, shield, and shoes before she has to go back to school. ninja

Depends on your definition of nerd, but...
~I often make references to the internet or anime on school papers that no one will read.
~I love papercraft. Lots.
~I use Haruhi as a Macface. (Google Macface...)
~I feel disgusted when I hear people talking about anime ANYTHING without knowing the hell its about.

~I know more about computers than the teachers in the computer lab.
~I get only A's in school, which automatically classifies me as a nerd at my school. Which is odd cause I don't really try...
~A quick look into my MP3 player or bookmarks would get funny looks from most people I'm sure. XD

Exactly. Just because you can speak Japanese, doesn't mean you're a nerd. It doesn't even add to nerdiness. I can speak some German, does that make me a nazi?

There's more than that not released in the US. >> I just have all the manga and the Another Birth light novels... I don't have any of the anime 'cause I can get that from the intertubes. n-n
