They had been 'lost' for quite some time now but she didn't mind... And as long as she didn't mind and Dynatos didn't seem to mind then things were okay. She had found him (or he had found her) and, from there, it was just a matter of finding everyone else... Or everyone else finding them.
"... Did we already try going that way?" Her brow lofted slightly as she glanced down from her perch in the stallion's mane, trying not to let her eyes cross as she looked at him. "If the sky wasn't so cloudy..." She murmured softly, more to herself than to the other mare. She had thought about doing an aerial search for the missing flutter but with the clouds as thick as they were and the trees as close together as they were the idea was not as good as she had initially thought. "Perhaps the only way to find a little one lost is to wander around in circles yourself..."

"I believe we have." He was sure they'd gone every way from the point they were at if only because Tapanga kept telling him to come right back here.
"Though ... let's try that way and then not taking a right when we get to the pond." At leas then they could go somewhere that they hadn't before and maybe that somewhere would mean they'd find the others. Tapanga was convinced they were around here somewhere. "The sky is always cloudy when you need it to not be so." She shook her head as they wandered though the trees. She wasn't sure Tapanga would be easy to find from up there anyway. They didn't have the eyes of the hawks and the mare was tiny most of the time.

"I remember the pond though. TeliTeli was there before... Along with a little, white pony with pretty sparkles on her face." She huffed softly as she lowered her head, lipping lightly at his mane. "We'll do things Dynatos's way this time though... Only fair."
"Winter doesn't last forever though... We are a good moon and several days into it now..." They had been traveling alongside one another for at least a fortnight and neither she nor the dark mare had come across any signs of the small flutter. On the bright side, they had not come across any signs of those that they were preparing to rally troops against either.

"Have to be fair after all." He grinned even though she wouldn't really be able to see it. They'd come by this pond at least ten times in the last few days and Teli hadn't been there any of those times. Which meant that he most likely didn't spend a lot of time there so there was no point it hanging about.
"The winter here is colder than i am used to. The snow falls harder." At least it hadn't snowed in a while which she was thankful for. Too much of the stuff and she'd have refused to go looking for anyone in this state. Thankfully Astonia hadn't noticed her state or if she had she'd ignored it.
"There is a pond near here that Telikos likes to frequent. There's a small chance that our little flutter friend is about somewhere."

"Yes, yes... Fair's fair..." She snorted softly, blowing a strand of his mane away from her face as she settled down. At least it was warm nestled in his mane. She didn't have to worry about the cold air or the white, fluffy stuff that seemed to fall every so often.
"Stopping near a pond would be nice... A bit of fresh water and, perhaps, some grass or reeds that have not yet fallen to the bite of the winter's touch." She took a deep breath, feeling the cool air invade her lungs. "I will let you take the lead then, Lady Aly... Perhaps one day, when this has all settled, I will get to know the forest better."

He laughed as she settled down in his mane and picked up his pace. It was a bit warmer thanks to a full day of sun and he had a bit of extra energy.
As he moved he started to hear voice and that was a good sign. It might not be any of their companions but at least it would be someone. And someone might have seen their companions.
"You will." She wouldn't let this place fall to those monsters like their old home had. There would still be forest and sky for Astoria to explore. There would be flowers for Tapanga to flutter through. There would be others for Teli to take care of.

Her own ears flickered at the sound of voices but, being one to hear voices often, she paid little mind to them for the moment. It was much more comfortable to just relax here, listening to the soft sound of the stallion's laughter.
She paused her walk for a moment, tilting her head to the wind as she 'listened'. It whispered in her ears and tickled her nostrils. "Something familiar on the wind... An old friend."

He nudged a pile of moss aside with his horn, careful to not get Tapanga caught in it, and grinned as he spotted a familiar black form. "Well well, it seems Tapanga wasn't telling stories this time"
"Tapanga or ...... oh no." Her shoulders fell as she heard a familiar voice and then saw the stallion speaking to them. "Dynatos. What a pleasure." It was good that he hadn't been harmed but he was almost worse finding than a pissed off Telikos would have been.

Her ears flickered once as Dynatos said her name, flickering again upon hearing... "ALY!" She let out a delighted whicker as she bolted out of Dynatos's mane, fluttering towards the dark mare. She buzzed around Alysida's head for a moment before darting towards Astoria, halting in mid air after a moment. "You aren't Lady."
"Hello to you too, Tapanga." She chuckled softly, a smile curving the corners of her mouth. "It is wonderful to see you again, little one."

"Such a warm welcome." He laughed as Tapanga left his mane and Alysida greeted him. "I take it you weren't just passing by hm?" From the look of her and Astoria they'd been walking for quite some time.
"Hello Tapanga. I see you found your mountain of a friend again." She smiled at the tiny mare before she looked back to the stallion. "No .... actually we were hoping to find Tapanga, we had no idea you were here also though"

"Stary Lady." She smiled brightly as she zipped around Astoria for a moment before it settled in that the air was cold and Dynatos's mane had not been. She fluttered back towards him, rustling his mane again before making herself comfortable. "Dynatos was lost until Tapanga found him."
"But now that we know you are here as well we can lead you both back to the meeting place." She nodded slowly as she looked to the stallion, glad that the little one had found her friend. She always seemed to be somewhat more controlled with the stallion around.

"Yes, lost." He actually hadn't been 'lost' until he'd run across Tapanga but he wasn't one to correct her. It was cute how she thought in curved directions and he wouldn't have changed that about her. "Meeting place? So then there are others here too and Teli is off looking i presume?"
"Yes, and since we have you two we should get back there. If Telikos has found the quiet little Lady then everything will be easier to explain"
He raised a brow as Alysida turned back the way she and Astoria had come.

"Lady is not quiet. Lady is loud... And stingy. Lady says Tapanga is not supposed to be anywhere near her or her shinies." She snorted softly before nuzzling into Dynatos's mane.
"It has been nearly a moon since we parted ways with Telikos... If we have found the two of you then we can only hope that Telikos has found two too." She nodded slowly. Time passed so strangely in the winter.

He eyed Alysida for a moment more. "Have you gotten fat?" She looked a lot rounder than he remembered her being last time they'd spoken. That probably hadn't been the best way to say that though now that he had it out.
She stopped dead in her tracks and turned slowly to look at the stallion. "......."

Her eyes went wide as she peered out from her nest in Dynatos's hair, head tilting towards Alysida. "..." After a moment she nodded. "Dynatos is right! Aly does look like she has put on a bit of weight. Has Aly been snacking late at night on munchies without sharing with others?"
She herself had noticed a slight roundness to the other mare's belly but had figured that it was nothing... Or, rather, if it was something then Alysida already knew and it was not her place to question it. She would be told when her friend felt the time was right to tell her.
