This is the rules section of the guild. These are important because they'll help keep you from being embarrassed and, no one likes to be humiliated by themselves when the rules were RIGHT THERE in front of them. So let's try reading all the rules, shall we? First I have directions. If you wish to SPEAK to another character, please use "quotation marks" as a form of speaking. If your character is thinking, please use 'apostrophes' as a form of thinking, or put your words in italics. This means we cannot hear what your character is thinking. If you wish to speak to the other users, please use (( double parenthesis )) to do so, but make sure it is at the bottom of your post, or at the very top. YOU MUST post more than a few words, and you are required to post at least ONCE every three days. If you have a reason why you cannot, then PLEASE notify me via pm. If you are gone for an extended period and your character stands in the way of our storyline continuing, someone may either control your character for a short time, just enough to get us going again. Nothing unnecessary. Or we may just shove you out of the way until you come back. You must also use correct grammar and spelling (however if you slip up that is alright). Now:
YOU MAY NOT:
- Auto hit
- God mode
- Have firearms as weapons
- Speak in chatspeak (ex: hi how r u? OMG g2g! ttyl!)
- Have a character that does not fall within the boundaries of those indicated in Character Creation
- Write in any other form other than THIRD PERSON
- Beg to be a moderator
- Ignore the rules
- Use * as a form of showing actions
- Oppose the moderators
- Change the storyline. It is already pre-set
- Skim the rules. Read them all carefully
YOU MAY:
- Have fun
- Ask questions
- Curse as much as you'd like. The only thing I will NOT tolerate is deliberate racism, or prejudice towards others in their sexual preferences (However, if your character is a hard-core Christian who doesn't believe in gays, then there's an exception. This rule mostly applies to the USERS and not the characters. Your character can be racist/prejudice all you want, but you must show respect to the other users.)
- Pair up with other characters in a romantic relationship
- Be random
- Have more than one character (just remember to roll in the FATE thread for each character, and put the name of the character down when you're rolling.)
- Take your character somewhere else if you are bored with the current storyline. If you choose to give up your title as one of the three, then someone else with be given the title.
- Make donations to the guild to help create more subforums
- Make suggestions that will help the guild become improved
Other things may be added at any time. If you are unclear with anything, please PM me (Kavvana) and I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please remember to post what I asked you to post earlier.
