I disagree. I believe it was their best album. Jim Root stated that there was shredding in most of the songs on their previous albums but the producers felt the solos weren't necessary. Now that Rick Rubin produced the album they were able to put in some sick solos.

i love how each cd has a diffrent sound, and for SlipKnoT to make this album sound the way it does...... it's better than i thought it would be by the rumors...

Thats one of my favorite albums by them. You can tell they put more effort into their songs on Vol.3.

Just because Vol 3 doesn't say ******** every other word, does not mean it's not a heavy album. I think it's one of their heaviest albums, in that it brings out everything I hate about myself, it makes me remember all the bad things and the good things. It's one of the more emotionally driven albums I own, and I admire that.
It kind of pisses me off when people tell me that Slipknot sold out because of that album, and that they hate sell-outs. If you stop liking Slipknot just because of that album, that makes you a sell-out. I don't care what you say.
I consider Vol 3 my second favorite album (after Iowa.)

I liked it because it was the first one that I had memorized all the songs. . lol, anywho my favorite song on the disk was 'before I forget.'
