 A sigh escaped the lungs of a young crimson stallion, turning to clouds as it hit the outside world. It was chilly; no snow, but a definite chill. He stood on the edge of the forest, watching all the creatures go about their daily lives, caring for their families; something he only wished he could do.
His sister was with her mate, and he had no idea where his neice and nephew were. His mother was probably with his sister. He hadn't seen Raina in a while; he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but either way it was the currect situation. Leaving him here... alone, just like always. The idea seemed to fit together like a puzzle. It was how it always was, probably how it was always going to be. He'd get used to it one day, he supposed.

[Sadly, I don't have her certed yet
It wasn't exactly the sweetest smelling place... that's for sure. But the plains where the... cleanest area the young mare could ever find. With the apple tree's, humanly planted in places, naturally grown in others.. at least the area smelt,.. fairly fruity.
Strawberry looked up at the sky for a moment. For once, it was a nice day out...
Even.. if it was horribly cold.
For now there was no snow in these open fields. The suns rays had melted it away.... left the ground fairly wet, but mostly cold. The skies were the slightest gray, but were, thankfully, mostly blue.
She stood by an apple tree... very few of the apples where left.. most where killed by the snow. But the ones that were left, where ripe and sweet. She'd already eaten one. The fruit had made her giggle with joy.
Though, she'd admit, they weren't exactly as good as the strawberries she'd find around the humans at times.

Arsenic's thoughts were interrupted by the soft sound of giggling, and he blinked back into focus, looking around. He caught sight of a creamy orange mare at a apple tree, looking rather happy. He smiled as he watched her. It was nice to know that some soquili could be happy even when alone. It sort of...gave him hope.
He looked over her odd appearence. The two-legger clothing on her head, the softness of her coat and it's various designs, the bow in her tail. It was hard not to admit that she was pretty. He didn't even notice he was staring.

Strawberry blinked a few times. Usually she was oblivious to this sort of thing, but, now... she felt,.. like someone was watching her, annoyingly closely too.
Course, Strawberry rarely got annoyed.
She turned her head,.. left,.. right,.. Finally her eyes set on the dark coated stallion, watching her. She blinked again.
A smile slipped onto her muzzle. She mouthed a soft "Hi!, giggling a bit afterwards, looking down cutely, before again looking towards the stallion.

Arsenic raised his brows in shock, realizing what he had been doing, and looked away for a moment, embarassed. But it was rude not to return her greetings, which had obviously been directed at him as no one else was around.
He looked back towards her and mouth his own soft "hello," and began to trot slowly towards him. Perhaps making a friend on this day wouldn't be so bad.

The mare watched as the other Stallion approached. She had that mighty good feeling that he was a good Soquili... not like some of the Kalona or others she'd heard of.
"Hi" She said again, quite cheerfully, when he reached her. Her tail flicked, and she tilted her head to the side again. It was strange to see her hat staying firm on her head, almost as if it where tied there through her mane.
"My name's Strawberry Shortcake! But you can just call me Strawberry. What's Your name?" She asked, sweet as ever.

Arsenic smiled, slightly assured by her sweet disposition. "Hello, Strawberry, I'm Arsenic." His voice was soft and kind as usual, showing his distaste for being in the spotlight.
He flighted his mane out of his face as he looked at her up close now, more impressed than he had been if that was possible.

Strawberry giggled softly.
Though his name was some sort of Poison used by humans... little did Berry know, or Care, about that. It was his name, and she liked it.
"Arsenic, hm?" She paused, pondering over a thought in her mind.
"Can I call you Seni?" She asked him gently, her usual smile not fading away from her face, not even wavering.
It was wonder if the girl ever stopped being happy...

Arsenic froze a bit and lowered his head to hide a blush at the name. It was cutesy.. something maybe a little kid would have for a nickname. But she was so sweet.. He didn't want to hurt her feelings. Besides, he kind of liked it. "O-okay. But, only if I can call you Berr." He lifted his head with a smile, amazed by her happy-go-lucky composure.
