PART ONE
Kira stood in the center of the city square. Her eyes searched for the messenger who was to deliver something of great importance to her. She would then deliver it to whom ever it was to go to. Although she had been a messenger herself, during her youth, she had become one of the first female warriors in this antient city.
Dante was walking thew the cities square scaning the crouded plaza for Kira, whom he had heard lots about in last couple of months, all of a suden time had stoped and he spoted her standing there, hair waving back and forth in the light breaze. he started to walk twords her he had needed to deliver a package to her
Kira finaly spotted someone who looked as if he was a messenger. She waited a few moments before walking up to him. "Hello." She greated with a slight bow before reaching her hand out to recieve the package. "Do you have the package?" She asked softly, knowing this may be risky business.
Dante almost droping the package from the sight of Kira and the tone of her voice, he replied with a studder " ye..yes i have it right here" and he hads her the pacage discreatly
"Do you know whats inside?" Kira smiled, taking the package and shaking it next to her ear with a laugh. She wouldnt have done this if she hadnt noticed the name "CLOUD" writen in large print across the top of it.
" I have not the fogiest idea what is inside, i am not but a mesenger boy running around for Cloud" he said hastely
"Really now? This is the first I've seen you doing business for her." Kira proped the package between one hand and her hip while scratching her head with the other then reaching it out to shake his hand. "Im Kira." She greated, finaly taking a good look at the guy infront of her. She couldnt help but smile, something about him seemed exciting, maybe it was the memories of the past few years.
"Well if your not busy wanna go with me to give this to Cloud?" She asked, still waiting politly for a hand shake.
Dante could not reply he started to shake at the knees, his response was "......" for when he tried to say something nothing came out, finally he managed to say "my...my name is Dante and i am new at this. i have ben doing this for about two weeks now, and i would love to acompany you to diliver this to Cloud"
Cloud sat inside her palace room. It was quiet there and she could rest after her last battle. She had been heavily wounded and lay in bed resting her chest heavily bandaged. They had won the battle but had heavy casualties. But atleast for now there was peace. Only her most personal guards where allowed anywhere near her room.
"Well hello Dante." Kira greated, grabbing his hand and shaking it softly then letting it go before walking past him. "We have to go this way. To the palace." Kira explained with a smirk. "Ever been there?" She asked. As she passed by Dante, her hand slid over his shoulder as if a breeze.
"not ever" he replied, he could not discribe the sensation of her hand sliding over his sholder but it made him feel all weard inside, he almost forgot how to walk. instinctly he grabed her hand as to not loose her in the croud, as he followed her
Kira didnt mind his hand around hers as she walked. She was used to someone holding her hand through this busy city. Kree's face appeared in her mind then the bloody battle that had just ended. A shudder went down her spine as she looked back at Dante and felt something inside her begin to warm up. "So you work for Cloud but you havent accualy met her? Thats odd." Kira asked. "Usualy she becomes close with her messengers." Kira explained. "Thats how we first met, but then again we had been messengers together before we became warriors together and she was crowned Queen." A memory made Kira frown for a second. "I wonder how Sky is." She thought to herself before smiling once again at Dante and pulling him through back allies then through a secret entrance into the Palace. A guard nodded at Kira as she marched right in, Dante's hand still around hers. "He's with me." She explained as the guard grunted. "Cloud resting?" She asked softly as the guard grunted again. "Thanks buddy." She smiled with a wink before heading to Cloud's room and nocking on the door.
"Enter" she spoke quietly
Kira opened the door and pulled Dante in after her. She closed the door and felt it was safe to let go of Dante's hand. "Hello my dear. How have you been?" She greated, making her way to Cloud's bed and placing the package on Cloud's night stand. "Are you feeling better?" Her eyes looked down on Cloud with care as a hand rested on her shoulder.
"not much better" she admitted "im still in a great deal of pain and there are those who are still out to assinate me" Cloud groaned in pain her hand lightly passing over her chest.
as Kira pulled him threw the doorway he felt a cold shiver run down his spine at the sight of Cloud, seeing her lie there with the look that made him quiver with fear. he franticly tried to grab Kiras hand as she walked forward to the bed's side he just stood there frozen in time
Kira looked over her shoulder as she remembered it was his first time in her presence. "Dont worry, she wont bite, hard." She joked. "At least as hard as I would." She laughed harder
Cloud laughed lightly with her and then coughed hard. She closed her eyes and moaned again feeling more pain.
hearing this he creaped closer to Kira but not to close to the bed he finally stoped about 3 feet from the side of the bed and kinda hid behind Kira
"Its ok my dear." Kira wispered to Cloud, placing a hand on her chest. There was a light glow as she began to hum something softly. As the song ended the light fadded. Kira looked deeply into Cloud's eyes as if a lover and brushed her hand over her cheak. "How is Sky?" She asked softly, unsure of his fate during the battle. For a second a memory of Dante when she first saw him flashed in her mind. "Huh?" Kira thought as Cloud became Cloud again.
"I have not heard of his fate yet" Cloud said "I'm prepared for the worst. You're such a dear friend Kira" Cloud was starting to whisper her strength running out. She glanced at the box and then closed her eyes all together.

PART TWO
"is she going to be alright" Dante asked Kira
"Yes, she always pulls through." Kira replied, looking at Dante with an unsure smile. "If worst comes to worst, I am here to take her place, but there is no King unless Kree returns." She spoke with hope for Cloud's health and Sky's return. "And if he does not, who knows what will happen." She smiled at Dante as her face turned red. "Do you know what is in the box?" She asked quickly, turning to Cloud's bedside and picking up the package.
he could feel his cheeks start to turn red from her implying on him being her king, "I dont know what is in the box i was only to diliver it to you" he could not help but to smile when she turned her back to him,
Kira held it up over Cloud. "Do you mind?" She asked.
Cloud gave the go ahead to open the box. There was no way of knowing where it had come from but it was for her. When Kira opened it she pulled out a sword that was broken a few inches about the hilt. Cloud stared at it in Kira's hand and said nothing. She looked quite pale.
"Kira what is wrong" he asked with a sincere voice
"Im sorry." Kira wispered, recognizing the sword in her hands. There was something else with in the shattered bits of the blade laying with in the box. Kira set the box back down, taking deep breaths, taking her time to answer Dante. She pulled up a stone with an image of her and Kree engraved with in it. "They're both gone." She was speaking to both Cloud and answering Dante's question at the same time.
"who is gone" Dante asked.
"The king." Kira's eyes shifted slightly in Dante's direction then away as she spoke again. "And a certain warrior named Kree."
{{SIDE NOTE: Sky (the king) and Kree (kira's lover, in a scence) long story on both}}
" I am so sorry" Dante said to Kira and Cloud
Cloud turned away from them both and burried her face in her pillow. From there they could make out the hard sobs of cloud. It didnt matter how badly this hurt her chest. Her love was gone and that hurt her soul a great deal more than any mortal wound. The guards entered the room. "i think its time you leave" they said "Lady Cloud needs her rest"
Kira sent them a cold stare which kept them at a distance, giving them a few more moments to say goodbye for the day. "You would force the only friends she has left out of the room in her time of greiving?" Kira asked harshly. The guards were speachless before Kirei stepped forward. "Sister." He greated. "Please take this messenger out of the room. You know the rules." His voice was kind and soft, he did not want to be rude as he noticed the stone in her hand. "Im sorry." Kira tried to smile at her brother as she grabbed Dante's hand and led him back into the city.
“I will go, what would you have me do" he asked politely
Kira looked at him, although she couldnt bear looking him in the eyes, they resembled Kree's gaze all to much, yet something else lingured within him that she couldnt make out. "Do you know where the Great Warriors Hall is?" Kira asked softly, placing a hand on his upper arm.
" yes i do he stamered" at the touch of her hand on his arm
"I live near there. You are welcome to stay in my quarters if you ever need a roof over your head." At that, Kira turned and vanished in the vast crowds of the city. Her angel wings were spread behind her as if a white-blue mist of dust, or fine powder, yet left no trace of any residue as a trail to follow. As she made it back to her quarters, Kirei stood in the shadows of her room awaiting her.
Dante goes to Kiras quarters and waits for her arivle
"Hello sister." Kirei greated. "It was nice seeing you today." Kira stood in the door way with a heavy heart. "You know I tried to save him." He wispered. Kira nodded as she ran into his arms, tears streaming down her face. "It appears you have a guest Kira." Kirei wispered in her ear as he noticed Dante outside. Kira wipped her eyes and made it to the door. "Sister," Kirei wispered. "Remember." At that he vanished as Kira opened the door. "Hi. Miss me much?" She smiled weakly. "come in." Kira asked, holding open the door.
"o..ok he stamered as he walks past Kira into her room. "How did you vanish like that" he asked eagerly
"Unlike most people in this forsaken city," Kira rolled her eyes. "My brother and I are only half elf. We're also half Angel. So not only do we have to worry about the troubles between Sun and Moon Elf's, but the troubles of Angel's as well." Her face lit up partialy as she thought of her mothers family. "I take after my mom, who's of Angelic herritage and my brother takes after father. But we're twins if you couldnt tell." She smirked.
"i see" he said with a enoumous grin on his face that was hurting his mouth, he knew when he first laied eyes on her she was special in a very good way
"I guess you could say thats what drove me to work so hard but I fit in as a Sun Elf quite well." She smirked, offering Dante a cup of white wine.
he hesetently took the cup of wine and siped it, he had never had this before and his face scrunched up from the bitter tast it had "its good" he coughed
Kira laughed and took the cup from him. "I can tell from your reaction. Dont worry, my brother likes this stuff better." She handed him the cup again after taking a sip of it. Inside the wine had become red. Kira held out the cup for Dante but as he just stood there. She blinked a few times. "Is everything ok?" She asked softly, she felt week all of a sudden.
"the cup is filled with blood" he stamered with an alarmed voice "are are you alright " she was looking kinda pail in the face
Kira laughed slightly as she swirled the red wine around. "Im not a vampire, although someone tried to turn me once." She explained. "Its just red wine." She put the cup down next to its matching pitcher and leaned against the counter. "I dont know. I think my brother is in pain over something. I dont know whats wrong. My heart hurts..." She wispered as a vision of Kree flashed through her mind she looked at the stone. His face was gone, hers remained. There seemed to be another face suddenly engraved in the stone but she couldnt make it out.
"do you feel what he feels" he asked sincerly
KIRA looked up at Dante. "Yes but his emotions have never been this strong." She wispered. "And the stone has changed." She wispered. "Its not supposed to." She handed Dante the stone with her face and the mysterious persons face in it. {{And the mysterious person is supposed to be Dante btw}}
"well i see your face and next to it it seams to be an image that has faded or is coming in" after looking at ths stone for a moment the image became clear and he notice that it was an image of himself on it. he was so shocked that he droped the stone. when it hit the floor with a horible BANG, it roled over to Kira and rested face up at her feet

PART THREE
Kirei appeared on Cloud's balcony and watched as the other guards left. They knew he was there and needed to speak with her alone, and since he was the head of the guard he could do as he pleased unless Cloud or Sky said other wise. "Are you alright my dear?" He asked softly.
Cloud did not answer him. It seemed as though she was dead. She was hardly breathing at all and still looked quite pale.
Kirei walked to Cloud's side and kissed her forehead. "I'm truly sorry, my love." He wispered in her ear, although he spoke the words more as a brother than a lover. "If there is anything I can do, let me know." He offered.
"There is nothing to be done" she spoke very quietly "and i may be joining him soon anyway. These wounds of mine are deep. Hard for a mere human to deal with. Besides the people, the angels and elves. They dont want me as their ruler anymore" Cloud coughed hard and some blood sputtered from her mouth.
"That is not entirely true." Kirei wispered, taking one of her hands in his. He bowed at her side and kissed it softly. "I will always be here to protect you and care for you. I will not let you die as long as I live." He vowed, the love he had for her was promising but he already knew she had chosen Sky over him long ago and nothing could change that.
"Kirei" she whispered "you were always so kind to me" Her breathing slowed even more but her hand tightened its grip around his. Cloud wondered if she really was going to die.
He could feel her pain serging through his body. It made him sad how much it hurt her to have lost Sky after all they had been through. "If I had it my way, I would die in exchange for him." Kirei wispered. "I would do anything to make you happy, You know that is how far my love goes." He wispered sadly, knowing her love could never be returned. "But I can help you in this life if you let me. I can help bring his soul back to this world if you let me heal you!" He did not wish to see her die like this.
"no" she spoke gently "leave him to rest. You would do anything for me. I know you would. I see your love. Why dont you hate me. Hate me for not returning it" Cloud began to slip away again her mind fogging over.
Kirei couldnt resist but to jump onto the bed next to Cloud and pull her up out of her sheets and hold her close to him. His heart was beating heavily as he hugged her for a long time without speaking. "I could never hate you. You have always followed your heart, you're intentions have always been good and you never ment to hurt me." He wispered as his body began to shake. "Please just get better, I dont want to lose you too." He wispered. "I'll do what ever it takes to save you." Kirei wispered in Cloud's ear.
"then just hold me" she said softly. Then she faded away unconscious. She struggled to stay alive for many days. Doctors feared that they would lose her and in the end it would plunge them into another war. With the king and queen gone who would take their place? A war would start again over who would take the throne.
Kirei did just that. He slid into her bed with her every night after the doctors left and held her, offering her all the energy he could to help her live to see the next day. Soon he made his way to Kira's quarters an noticed that the messenger boy was still hanging around. There was a strange aura coming from this Elfling.
Kira picked up the stone but watched Dante's reaction as she picked it up slowly. "Something the matter?" She asked while brushing off the sone. As she looked at it once again, she squinted. "This kinda looks like..." The door swung open as Kirei walked in. "Kira." Kirei spoke up as Kira shoved the stone in her pocket.
"We need to go use the stone on Cloud." He wispered. "And he cant come." Kira looked at Dante then at Kirei. "But he has to come..." Kira wispered. Kirei looked confused so Kira took the stone back out and handed it to her brother. Kirei studdied the stone as his jaw dropped. "But you just met him!" He wispered. Kira nodded. "I dont know why but some how he is the next one." Kira wispered.
" i am the next what" he asked confused and kinda scared "what is going on"
Kireo looked pissed and handed Kira the stone. "So be it. Lets go. Cloud needs us. Kira can explain latter, the Queens life is in our hands right now. This is not the time to ask questions, do as you're told. Much will be explained." Kirei growled as Kira grabbed Dante's hand and followed after Kirei quickly back into Cloud's corners. The doctors stood around her. "Whats happening?" Kira asked. She pushed her way to Cloud's side, Kirei and Dante on either side
Cloud lay in bed under bloody sheets. It seemed that her wound would not close. She was sorrounded by a wave of death that wished to take her from the world of the living. Struggle and cling as she might it kept pulling her down slowly slowly. Her breathing was shallow and there was a long pause between each breath. Her body trembled. "the queen is dieing" the doctors said "we have tried to seal the wound but it still bleeds"
"what else can we do" Dante asked openly to every one
"Everyone out." Kirei and Kira asked in unison. "We will call you back when the time comes." They spoke as one again, their hands were joined together. Kira looked over at Dante as the doctors left the room. "Stand at her feet." She explained as Kirei walked over to the opposing side and took her hand. Kira did the same, holding her other hand. "Hold this." Kira tossed Dante the stone. "If she dies during this, the three of us become the next rulers of this kingdom."
"the three of us" he askes puzzled
"Yes but that is not important. We must save Cloud. You know basic healing right?" She asked as Kirei kissed Cloud's hand, his own hands began to glow as he held on tight to her.
"ya i learned it as a young boy why"
"Do not reject my love..." Kirei asked Cloud telepathicly. "I cannot live without you." ... "Use what you know, the rest will come to you, you are a chosen one just like the King and Queen now." Kira smiled weakly at Dante as she knelt down at Cloud's side and picked up her other hand. "My dear Cloud, please pull through this." She placed a hand on Cloud's wound. Dante placed his hands on Clouds left thie and started to chant in elven as his hads started to glow

Cloud squirmed a bit as Kira touched her wound. The pain seemed to send her plummeting further away. Yet she tried to hear their voices and their words. She desperatly wished to stay with them. But at the same time she could swear she was hearing Sky calling to her louder than them. The wound refused to heal. Cloud was with sky. He was holding her closing and kissing her lips sweetly.
Dante saw that the wound was not healing so he moved up to where kira was standing and placed his hands on her' and started to chant
Kirei closed his eyes as a vision of Cloud and Sky engulfed his mind. "Let her go." He wispered. Kira glared at Kirei but knew it was probably for the best.
