  Usually, fans of Emilie Autumn are into Dresden Dolls and Vice Versa. I very much love this band and their "dark cabaret music." The band consists of Keyboardist/Vocalist Amanda Palmer, and Drummer Brian Viglione. They only have two albums but they are quite the entertaining, insane little band. I wanted to start this thread to discuss the band, favorite songs, videos, whatever. If you want to know more about the band, then here is their official website.

The Dresden Dolls are absolutely amazing! I randomly discovered them when a friend of mine sent me a link to the Coin-Operated Boy video, and that song has been a favourite ever since. I quite like Gravity and The Jeep Song from that album, too, and Sex Changes, Backstabber, Modern Moonlight, Necessary Evil and Mandy Goes to Med School are my favourites from Yes, Virginia...
They have released a live album, too, called A is for Accident.
I'm quite happy that I was able to go to one of their gigs about a year ago, at the Roundhouse in Camden. I believe this was the gig they taped to make their live DVD - as I was all the way to the front of the crowd, pushing my mediocre digital camera as far as it would go, my face is probably all over that DVD. XD

I've been a fan of them for years and I'm finally going to see them play in Boston tonight! I'm terribly excited. heart
The first song I ever heard by them was "Girl Anachronism," so that one will always remain close to my heart. My other favorites include "Sex Changes," "Backstabber," "Modern Moonlight," "Necessary Evil," and "Many Goes to Med School." I think I just listed off the same songs as Engwannuniel. xd
I'll post again after the gig tonight and let you all know how it was! biggrin

They're amazing. I discovered them from clicking the most random links on myspace. Same way who I found Emilie Autumn and a bunch of my other favorite bands/artists.
Atleast myspace serves one purpose, right?

I actually made this account out of my love for them... though "Girl_Anachronism" was already taken as a user name, so I had to improvise.
Still, they're an awesome band, and I can't wait to see what those two come up with in the future, both as The Dresden Dolls and in their other projects.

I LOVE the Dresden Dolls.
Next to Emilie Autumn, they're my favourite musicians.
I love the song "Good Day", and a lot of other ones, mostly on the Yes, Virginia...-CD.
Sadly, as many other good musicians (*couchEmilieAutumncough* razz ) they seem to not be coming to Norway, so I don't have the chance to see them live as of now.

The Dresden Dolls are wonderfully odd. I love their song 'Half Jack.' I listened to it just the other day. It's such a lovely little tune.
