I didn't see a thread for this, so I thought I'd comment after playing four straight hours of Rock Band...
Rock Band >>> Guitar Hero
The guitar and bass part might be a little choppier than Guitar Hero, but the whole of the game is years ahead of Activision and Red Octane.

Guitar Hero had better songs then Rock Band. But Rock Band had a larger downloadible song selection, and is a better multiplayer game.

Griggle990 Guitar Hero had better songs then Rock Band. But Rock Band had a larger downloadible song selection, and is a better multiplayer game. Better songs is left to opinion. I like the Rock band set list over Guitar Hero.

I like the Rock band set list over Guitar Hero. I don't know.. I only like a few songs from each. I'm not a big fan of many bands/singers on there. It is left to opinion though.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS. I played Rock Band for the first time today in Gamestop, and man was it AWESOME! It's a lot easier to get the hang of than Guitar Hero, and more forgiving to n00bs/beginners.

This outta be interesting... i did see that, the drumset actually looks good XD, it's guitar hero, not vocals, bass, and drums hero, lol, they are just getting jealous, i do like that you can make your own songs though

This outta be interesting... i did see that, the drumset actually looks good XD, it's guitar hero, not vocals, bass, and drums hero, lol, they are just getting jealous, i do like that you can make your own songs though It does seem kinda monopolisitic doesn't it? I'm not sure how I feel about GH4 yet. I think they should perfect themselves with just the guitar before they start trying to be rock band. I keep hearing that people weren't as happy with GH3 as they wanted to be. And all the spin off versions like aerosmith & the 80s make me worried. It just seems too early for them to be trying to do this, and like you said Ryuk, it's guitar hero. Not rock band.

Rock Band has better songs.
Guitar Hero has a better Guitar.
Rock Band has better multiplayer.
In Rock Band there isn't one where people tries to play every time.
In Rock Band it's fun to sing.
GH III was a total waste of money. GH and GH II was a much better game with better songs.

Rock Band is more realistic
Guitar Hero is for when you want to shred
Guitar Hero is much more difficult than Rock Band
Guitar Hero and Rock Band both have great song list, it depends what im in the mood for playing
Rock Band does have drums and vocals (but i hate the vocals, im not a singer, never have been, never will, i don't even sing in my REAL band (except Dethklok covers, that i can do), let alone a video game one)
Also the Les Paul >>>>>>>>>>> The Strat
The strat has solo buttons, but it feels stiffer, not as smooth, and it doesn't work to well when you try and strum really fast, like Misirlou fast ( thanks to those of you who get that one). Also it feels cheep, like hasbro cheep.
I normally use the strat for fun, but when im online in VS or on harder songs (Green Grass and High Tides, Train 'Kept A Rollin, ect..) I use the Les Paul.
