Battlefield...RANDOMIZER! >O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ROCK FIELD!
Tremors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this creates a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling.

"Think fast JanJan!" Luna called out, immediately throwing out a pokeball at her fellow trainer. She smirked, the excitement getting to her. Yes, it was a bit unfair, but it was a change for the norm, and she deifnately needed to change things up sometimes. And besides, Luna was sure JanJan could handle it, gym leaders had to be able to handle such surprises, right?
Nine emerged out of the ball, unleasing a flamethrower attack from her mouth the second she found her target. This would, according to her trainer, lure some pokemon of her element. Nine increased the intensity of the flames, not holding back at all. She didn't mind if she burned the other trainer to a crisp, it wasn't her trainer at least.
((Ah...Nine's quite cruel sometimes o_o;; ))

Jenette smiled as she saw her friend then gasped as she saw the black Ninetales come flying out of the pokeball spitting out flames. Nanook was already out and she couldn't call him back, that would be like cheating... "SPRINT NOOK!" She shouted hoping the vixen pokemon had better reaction time then she did.
Nanook was already on it. He had felt the heat reach his tails as he darted to the right and jumped on some small boulders before diving behind a rock big enough to shelter him.
"FIRE SPIN!" Jenetted shouted triumphantly as she saw her pokemon dodge the attack.
Nanook was confidant now as he jumped out from behind the rocks and shot a seething spinning tower of flames to the... BLACK NINETALES!? As the vortex spun towards his opponent he stood their dumbfound at the black ninetales across from him... it was a GIRL BLACK NINETALES! How weird!

"Still sharp I see!" Luna said, smiling at Janette and giving a small wave. "But you'll need to do better than that! Payback!" She ordered, pointing to Nanook to let Nine know his position. A battle against ninetales...so interesting! The trainer thought to herself, she was excited already.
Nine quickly snapped her head back to briefly spot the other pokemon charge up and unleash a flamethrower. By the time the flames traveled close to her area, she was already leaping through the fire, gracefully and nearly effortlessly. Fire was her element afterall. She heard a faint "Let's show them how it's done!" from her trainer. Encouragement in human speech she figured.
Nine continued through the flames until she reached right infront of Nanook. Smirking slightly, Nine gathered a purple aura to her mouth, the minor damage she recieved from the attack adding to the attack's intesity. At a dangerous point blank range, she shot the payback attack right at Nanook's face.

Jenette would smile at the compliment but it didn't distract her. She saw the black ninetails leaping effortlessly into the fire and it gave her an idea. Seeing the purple ball form in it's mouth she smirked and waited. "FIRE BLAST NOW!" She shouted just as Nine was about to shoot.
Nanook was getting better at this on the spot firing commands and just as Nine shot her Payback attack he cut off his flamethrower and shot a character of fire right back in her face. How was that for payback?
Although her attack still hit him square int he face, the attack he had shot at her broke the power down.

"Go right through it again with another payback!" The black haired trainer replied immediately. This was going to be quite an intense match.
Nine quickly jumped back and landed on the dirt ground for a split second to gain some distance before she ran into the fire blast. There was a slight burning snesationa round her body, but she gave it no heed. Her wounds from the attack glowed as she reached closer to Nanook as did her eyes.
She opened her mouth, forming a payback attack quicker than last time. She fired.

"Dodge the blast!" Jenette called out. Her right hand was balled into a fist and raised to her chest, she wasn't going to lose this match. Her eyes sought those of her beloved Ninetales as he bolted forward. "Headbutt her!" She shouted again.
Nanook watched the ball hurtle towards him. When it drew closer to him he tried to jump up out of the way but he misjudged the speed. As he jumped up the blast caught his back paws. Trying his best to dive towards her, the thought crossed his mind of not wanting to hurt her. The thought left just as quickly as it came as he fell towards her back.

"Nine! Behind you! Iron tail!" Luna said as she gripped the trainer rail from the trainer platform she was standing on. The battle was definately heating up now as the two pokemon switched to physical moves.
Nine twisted her head just in time to see Nanook dive at her. Her tails started to glow and give off a metallic shine. She met Nine's headbutt head to tail with two of her tails. Then the other 7 followed, whipping out at Nanook's body in a ferocious barrage.

"STOP DROP AND ROLL!" Jenette shouted, both hands clasped around the railing. She was getting so edgy now as the battle was a close one. "Fire spin with your roll Nook!"
When Nanook got slapped with two of the 9 iron tails he knew better then to linger. He dropped to the ground and rolled out of the way. As he rolled he opened his mouth and got the fire spinning a different way then the tornado like vortex. The fire spun on the ground, aimed for Nine's lower body. Once he had rolled out of the way he rose to his feet and brought the column rising with him. I hope her coat doesn't get singed...
Jenette waited, almost breaking into a sweat as she watched the black ninetales.

"Nine! Flamethrower yourself out of there!"
It was the best solution Luna could come up with. She could feel the heat of the attack even from her distance. Even though Nine usually did get stronger when in the heat of fire, she didn't want her to risk too much damage.
Nine shot her own powerful flame down on the ground, propelling her body in the air. Only the tips of her tails got singed, not that she minded that much. It was only a slight tickling feeling after all.
Luna smirked. So far, so good. "Curl up, spin, and use iron tail!"
Nine curled herself up into a ball and started to spin in the air. Her tails began to glow as well, wrapped up neatly aligned with her body to reduce air friction. Then, she descended on Nanook, tail first.

"Get moving Nook! It's harder to hit a moving target when you are in the air!" She said pointing to the airborn Ninetales. "Dodge out of the way and retaliate with a headbutt!" She said, thinking a little more strategicaly.
Nanook began running away but as she landed he attempted to jump to the left but her tails came down strong. That was one thing they obviously needed to work on, all this sudden moving. As he was hit with her tails he immediately gont back up and charged for her side, he needed to hit her... or he was going to lose this and that wasn't helpful.

After Nine felt her tails hit something, she immediately uncurled and landed on her four paws safetly onto the dirt of the field. But she wasn't safe yet.
'One bad situation into the next, huh?' Luna thought to herself. She debated between dodging or attacking back the incoming pokemon. Attacking won out. She was an offensive person after all. "Nine! Hurry and use confuse ray!"
Nine's eyes glowed red as she used all her focus to create a flickering ball of yellow light right infront of her where Nanook would headbutt. Then, she waited to be attacked.
The black ninetales was knocked off her paws and into one of the stone pillars. The stone cracked under the force and Nine fell back down hard to the ground, panting from the attack strength.

((Rules for confusion:
When you attack, you roll TWO six sided dice. If first is odd, then the second dice hits (unless it's a zero) the opponent. If it's even, YOU HIT YOURSELF. Criticals included. So if you roll a two and a six, you hit crit. yourself =P ))

Jenette saw the yellow ball and her eyes got wide. "Oh... no..." She thought and waited until Nanook landed his attack to see if the effect had taken place.
After Nanook had hit he was confused from the ray. What was going on? Where was he? What did he just do to make that pretty black Ninetales hit the pillar? He tried shaking his head to make the confusion go away but it wouldn't.
Jenette's fear was confirmed, he had been confused. She thought for a moment, seeing Nine on the ground still. She had to think what attack would be the least dangerous to him. Taking a deep breath she tried to be calm. "Nanook! Listen to me boy! Give her a flamethrower while she is down!"
Nanook stood still, listening to this person... was it his trainer? Trying to focus he looked at the black ninetales and opened his mouth. Is this right? A string of flame shot from his mouth...
