Davey Jones stood in the water at the beach's edge, his tentacles twisting as he breathed deep the salt air. His ear's kept his hat from flying off his head as the wind blew hard from a storm just out to sea. The sky was dark, but his eyes much darker as he seemed to wait for something, for what though? Not even he himself knew that answer.

Bubbles stayed low in the ocean, trying to stay away from the surface as much as possible. She could sense the approaching storm and would rather not get tossed around by the thundering waves that were to come. But someone was staying close to the water's edge, who would be so foolish? She'd better go warn the land dweller that it should leave soon.
The mare's head peeked up from the water not far from where the land walker stood. "You should probably be leaving soon. The waves are bound to get more wild soon and you don't want to get hit by them." She looked at his face with a strange look, his tentacles were...weird. Sure she'd seen them on octapus but not on a horse creature like this one and herself. Strange.

Davey's eyes soon caught the mare that poked her head out of the water. His eyes widened he had heard the tales, but never thought them true. Know the old grump of a horse was caught off guard. Now he felt himself foolish if something like himself could be true do could a mersoquili. His tentacles stopped twisting and his lips popped a bit. "I be not afraid of the sea nor it's waves. To be hit by one would be a joyous delight, that comes not often to a heartless one as I. Though you do make me believe in the old tales lassy."

Bubbles peered at him curiously and swam up a little closer for a better look through the mist. "Being hit by an oncoming wave, a large fierce one at that, isn't a delight by any means. Unless you enjoy pain. And just because you get out of the way of the stormy sea doesn't make you afraid of the sea." She looked at his tentacles again and couldn't help but wonder again what kind of creature he was. Some strange land walker with an octopus face? "Tales? What old tales do you speak of?"

Davey could not help, but let an amused grin slip on to his face. "That sort of pain be welcome. To one like me it would mean fear."
He stepped into the water a bit more his crab claw clipping a bit. He raised a brow of course mersoquili wouldn't know the tales of land.
"Of you my dear. To the landlubbers you are nothing, but of legend. To me now you seem real enough, less my mind be making up company to talk too."

"A legend? Me?" She laughed a bit. "Really now? Well I'm plenty real, I assure you. I'd splash you with my tail to prove it but that would be rude," she giggled. Her head bobbed down beneath the water as a wave came up, making the water rise. She popped back up once it had receeded back to the sea again. "You land walkers have it easy though with these storms. All you have to do is step back and walk away, whereas me and the other creatures down here have to stay down deep to avoid its fury. I don't see why'd want to be around the sea when it's like this. On normal days it's beautiful but not today."

"I am no land walker!" Davey Jones spat through he could go on land if he wished he lived in the water. " Even so they do not have it as easy as you think. They could drown if a river flooded in the storm or be hit by lighting or things blown by the wind." Davey began to wade into the water wiggling his tentacles once more as they dragged along the surface of the choppy sea. " Shall we swim? My name is Davey Jones, what be your's lassy?"

Bubbles hadn't thought of it like that before. So the land walkers did have some disabilities just like her and the other sea creatures. "If you're not a land walker then why are you walking on land?" she asked with a giggle. "Can you swim underwater? I don't know if I want to swim on the surface right now but if you can swim underwater I'd be glad to go for a swim." She swam around in front of him before stopping with a blink. "Oh I'm sorry. My name is Bubbles, pleasure to meet you Davey Jones. Why do you keep calling me lassy though?"

"It be they way I talk, I've talked this way for year, and my father before me spoke this way too. I'm not really sure what to call myself lass a deformed kelpi I suppose. I can walk on land and swim under the sea. Bubbles it befits you, lassy, you can call me Davey by the way." Davey Jones said before diving under the surface he swam till the sea floor fell and then he waited for her. Though he didn't want to admit it, it was nice to talk to someone.

Bubbles swam down with him and swam in circles a bit, happy to be down away from the storm. "Deformed kelpi? What is this kelpi you speak of? I assume it's something that walks on land and water, right? And by deformed you mean..." She motioned to his tentacles with her tail.

"Yes, Lass a Kelpi can walk on land, but lives in the water. Funny thing both you and I never having met other sea dweller's,there must not be many of us, but then again the sea is quite large." Davey swam through the water a bit as though to consider the last question she asked. "Yes, kelpi don't have....well at least as far as I know nothing has tentacles on its face and instead of a tail." Davey stopped to look at the watery sky above. The storm was getting worse and the water more choppy. "Perhaps we should swim deeper, its going to be a good storm."

"Oh yes, the sea is very large indeed. I used to live out in the middle of the sea and until a few days ago I had never seen land before. I had heard about it but I hadn't seen it before." She followed his gaze to the surface and nodded, swimming down lower. "So if normal kelpi don't have those tentacles on their faces, what is normal for them? Do you know what they look like?" she asked curiously.

"I have been told by land walkers what they look like, but then again land walkers are notorious for stretching details. The have four legs like land soquili but the tail of a mersoquili. They have fins instead of hair for a mane and some even have whiskers like cat fish, but none have tentacles or so I've been told." A current swept by them knocking off Davey's hat, but he caught it quickly holding it to his head with on tentacle.

Bubbles floated on the current instead of fighting it before diving down out of it and up beside Davey again. "Well I sure haven't seen any of those before. But who knows, maybe I'll get lucky someday." She swam down to the lower reefs and played chase with some of the fish, giggling as the swarms of fins surrounded her. She was a free spirit, nothing holding her back.

"Perhaps I won't mind seein one me self one day." Davey watched for a moment loosing himself in watching her swim. A smile began to twitch of his face before he snapped it back to a grump of a face. "You'll get stung by and anemone if you get to close to the reef." He was not a free spirit, though it had been so long he could not remember why he was this way.
