Battlefield...RANDOMIZER! >O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ICE FIELD!
The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

Luna wandered into the stadium again, quite cheerful. "Looks like we got ice~" She shouted to the other trainer. "Anyways, use Prince well! He's a little fiesty sometimes, but he'll listen to you." The trainer lifted her leg behind her and unclipped her own pokeball.
"If you prove yourself in this battle, I'll let you use him until you get your own, m'kay?" She enlarged her pokeball and threw it, letting out her ninetales.
Nine immediately summoned fire to her legs before she landed on the ice. She instead stood on the flames to slightly float on the surface of the ice. It was much better than attempting to move ON the ice. Nine recalled her first experience, it wasn't very pleasant.
Staring at her opponent, she growled slightly, ready for yet another battle.
"I'm Luna by the way, future elite four and champion. And this is my ninetales! Let's give it all we got, neh?" Luna added.
(Roll a six sided dice to see who goes first
It isn't OFFICIAL, but that's how I start out battles :3 )

Choppi had to admit that the size of the stadium was quite daunting, but she wasn't going to let it get her down. Looking at the small pokeball in her hands, she gripped it tightly as she took her footing on her side of the stadiums platform. There was another's pokemon in here. The call of the wind to its form, Luna was kind enough to lend her the Pidgeot she nicknamed Prince. Tapping the top, the pokeball changed to the size of her hand. Looking at it a moment longer, she kissed the top of the ball before throwing it into the fray above the iced floor. "Prince~ please fight with me!" She called.
Luna nodded to see her beautiful Pidgeot Prince flare his wings and land upon a pillar of shimmering ice that reached towards the skies. A cry came from his beak, upon seeing this was a teammate battle.
The pokeball returned to Choppi's hands and she gripped it close to her chest. "I am Choppi, Miss Luna. I thank you for this chance to battle together."

Choppi noticed that Luna wasn't making the first move, so she decided to. Gripping her hands together, she looked at the threatening Ninetails then to Prince. She didn't want him to get hurt. Attack from afar.
"Prince, Whirlwind!" She called out, and the Pidgeot looked over his shoulder at her. Deciding his perch was too cold for his liking, he swooped up into the air. Beating his wings back and forth together with so much force created powerful gusts of wind that made the fire under Ninetails feet shudder. The trick of floating fire she was using under Luna's training, was being threatened, even just a littl bit.

"Firespin!" Luna said immediately. She knew she would have to do her best to cover Nine's disadvantage on ice. She took a deep breath. This battle would sure be challenging!
Nine immediately hopped up straight into the whirlwind attack, knowing the flames on her legs were dying out. But, wind fed flame, if the flame was stronger that is. And she could easily make her flames stronger.
"Niiiiine!" The fox pokemon cried out, opening it's mouth to release a twister of flames at Prince. The dying winds around the flame made it grow wilder and turn into an odd shape resembling a large giant spread out piece of torn fabric. Fabric that was about to devour the bird pokemon.
Nine charged up the flames on her legs again before landing, floating to be exact, with a pant, a few small cuts on her body appeared due to the whirlwind attack. She looked up at her teammate to see how her attack went.
Luna looked up as well, curious as to how the other trainer would command her own pokemon. This was what made team battles all the more interesting, having your own pokemon face off against you with a different style. Luna grinned in excitement. "Let's see what you got!" She said to the other trainer.

Choppi nodded. "I won't let you down!" She smiled happily, before turning to serious and readying the return move. The fire spinning through the sky came closer and closer to Prince. It would cinder him, unless he cut through the fire. The cold air would help, but she had to act now. Pidgeot's were known for their speed and diving power. Let's use that to our advantage.
A loud chirp came from Prince's form, as the heat from the fire became more intense. Too late!
"Fly!" Choppi called out. Prince dashed forwards through the nearing flames. The power of Nine's fire was great, however the distance to reach Prince had broken it up a bit, as well as his dive, but this did not mean he was unscathed. "Kurrro!" He called out as small flames ignited on the back of his tail where the wind had whipped back the racing flames.
"Hang in there Prince!" She called to him, a command caught in her throat. He landed on one of the larger towers of ice, closer to Nine than Choppi would have liked. This tail smacked against the ice smothering the small flames out but the damage was done.
This would certantly be interesting she thought, gritting her teeth. Would Prince still trust her now?

Luna took note of the actions of both her opponent and her pokemon. Knowing their relationship and teamwork was not only essential for battle, but also for judging if she could handle her flying pokemon well in future battles. And it did serve as a nice method of intimidation. "Again? Okay then, overheat Nine!" She ordered, a plan already formulating in her mind.
Nine quickly charged up heat around her body, her eyes flashing red, a tell tale sign of danger. She released it all in one go, creating a massive heatwave in the stadium. By this time, some of the winds had already reached her, slicing a cut on her cheek, but nothing major. Thanks to the heat, the rapid winds were pushed upwards towards Prince again, since warm air rises up. It was all simple science...if such a thing existed in the pokemon world.
But the fact was, Prince was faced with not only his own winds, but the overbearing heat that now spread throughout the arena. Even Luna had gotten some sunburns because of the attack. Thankfully, the trainers were kept cool not only by the arena, but by the fairly safe distance from the attack.

Choppi covered her eyes, never before seeing such an attack from a fire type. Years ago she'd trained them herself, but such a bond here was amazing. Luna was really not a fool, although Choppi never took her for one from the start. All chances though, were now gone.
Prince used the ignited air in now thermal form to rise higher and higher into the air above the stadium. The heat burned up at his talons some, the itch of a superficial burn was a bother. Nothing permanent though, thankfully. "Kurrrooo!" His call was amplified from the height of his current position. It bounced back tenfold.
"Prince, try a Sand Attack!" Choppi called, hoping that he wouldn't get in too close for the attack. She'd like to try a tackle, but she didn't want to get into close quarters just yet with this firey beastie. Good thing about Pidgeots and other flying types is debris collected in the wings from flight arent always groomed out, and can be used for a sand attack in almost any arena.
Prince started a dive, and in a halting flare of his wings, the sand lashed out in sharp pieces, that would either slow Nine's return attack, or work to put out the flames that kept her aloft. Testing testing is what they were after. Trying each side to find a weakness.

Nine shut her eyes quickly to stop the sand from entering, causing a temporary blindness. She let out a low growl as she realized the sand also got on her fur, causing her to fall onto the ice where she lost her balance. It was quite embarressing as she attempted to regain her balance, fumbling around with the slippery ice to get some stability before she ignited flames around her paws once more.
Luna let out a small giggle as she saw her normally graceful pokemon fumbling around. It was a rare sight indeed. "Pretty good!" The trainer commented. "But how about this? Extrasensory!" She ordered.
Nine snapped open her eyes despite the stinging from the few particles of sand that entered. They flashed dangerously red once more, but instead of a traditional fire attack, this time the area around Prince began to distort and cave in on him. Nine's figure grew larger and more intimidating. She had weaved together a mass illusion on her teammate and she had done her best to make it a painful one.

Prince veered seeing the mental attack change his preception, the stadium starting to wheel and spin dramatically with Nine's intense form looming high over him. However a voice broke through his wavering flight just in time.
"Prince, cut through it!" Choppi called, pointing at the attack that was distorting his vision. She wasn't familiar with this attack, but she had faith he could make it through. "Pidgeooooo!" He called, as his large wings took him forwards and zoomed through the projection breaking it apart. It left him undamaged, and the attack dissapated into nothing.
The Pidgeot was quite pleased that Nine's attack didn't work, and he did and little barrel roll in midair to show off and taunt the Ninetails on the ice below.
Choppi smiled and gave a little hop of joy, having made it through the attack with ease, however, she didn't think the rest of the battle would be easy. "Let's not brag Prince, we're a new team!" Prince eyed her from the sky. "Quick Attack! Knock her off her paws!" The best thing would be to get her onto the ice, she just hoped that Luna didn't get Nine to pull Prince to the slick floor.
