The orange hued wolf had not seen any of his family for so long. He had been keeping up with Twist, and working on his training. His fighting skills weren't the best yet, and to become Alpha, he'd indeed need to be in top shape.
He did not miss his father, for he thought his father vile, and nothing more than a glorified Sperm Donor. Because all Rome had ever done for his sons was hurt them. Wazaam was the way he was, angy and secluded in himself and away from his family because of Rome..
He truly missed his mother, and his brother.. Hell.. He even missed Shelby. He wished he hadn't had to protect her. He had sent her off to protect her. Because he knew that Twist wouldn't take kindly to a She wolf who didnt follow her. He had saved Shelbs life, and one day she'd know.
His large orange paws scraped the rocks as he jumped them across the raging river.

Too long had the aging she-wolf gone without seeing any of her offspring. She loved them as much as a she-wolf could love anyone, besides themselves. She had become ragged again, avoiding Rome at all cost and just staying out of the sight of others.
Kattana didn't bare any wounds from past battles or trama physically, but her mind harbored more wounds then the most damaged and scarred wolves. Sad gold eyes peered out of a dug out badger hole as the sound of the river trickled through the small opening.
As a mother, Kattana missed her children with something horrible, but then again as a mother, she didn't want her children to see her in such a state. Yes, she would most likely disappear once the time was approapriate, like if there was a war she would most likely fake her death to give her children peace of mind when she was gone, or actually get killed.
Shaking her head at the aweful thought that had appeared in her mind. Kattana scooted out of the makeshift den and headed for the water's edge. She was thirsty, but froze when she spotted a healthy and strong looking orange adolscent. However, he wasn't an adolscent in her mind, she saw her cute little Wazaam, before he met Twist. Shaking her head, the image of her innocent son disappeared and the teen reappeared, the teen that was, according to rumours, the alpha male of Agua Azul.

His nose twitched, and he knew at once he had found his mother. He looked up from the rocks, and looked into her golden eyes with his emerald ones. He looked much like Rome, but he had the heart of Kattana, or so he thought. He had never seen his mother as suicidal. She was his mother, and he adored her so.
She looked so skinny.. So.. Sick. Instantly his mind raced with what could be wrong. Could she be really sick? He hoped not.. He'd have to find the pack shaman to help her.. Or bring a random shaman in.
"Mother!"
He called, rushing to her and nuzzling her neck with his orange nose. His mother, the ebony and tan femme who was incredibly beautiful to Wazaam's still innocent mind. Wazaam had been brain-washed. Fooled into feeling something that truly might not be there.. But he loved Twist, and he loved his mother. His heart was innocent, and light.
"How are you?" He asked, eyes soft.

The frail tail wagged slowly to life at the sight of her son, he had grown well and looked as healthy as his father. She then wondered about Adolfo, how had her Ebony and Ivory toned son faired? Was he as strapping as Wazaam?
Oh, how her heart prayed for such good news. She knew her daughters were well, or so was the last hopeful report that Rome had given her to make her smile. Kattana hadn't smiled since they had moved into the pack, packs just weren't good memories for her, and plus with the hole that constantly grew in her heart. Nothing seemed to be able to make her thrive again.
"My Wazaam. You look so very handsome, makes a mother proud to see her kids look so good." She complemented as the orange and black muzzle nosed into her thinned neck.
"I'm...."she couldn't lie to her son, not as skin and bones and she knew he already could figure it out. "I'm trying to refigure out everything. How about you, my son?" Her answer was the truth, not a lie and maybe seeing atleast one of her four pups fine could give her incentive to atleast hold together until she was a grandma.

He listened to her speak, and watched her tail wag. Seeing her again, made him smile, and he couldn't help but wag his own orange hued tail.
"Good morning mother! I have been so well. I came here, seeking you out." He said, voice deep, much like Rome's. He was, indeed, Rome's son and there was no mistaking that. He carried himself tall, unlike when he had been a pup. He had been a scared little creature. Keeping away from everyone, and always going to mother to hide from his fears. But now, he was a tall, proud wolf who had been given the rank of Alpha by his mate.
"Mother, I have been bestowed the honor of Alpha! I have taken a female, and when I get enough experience.. We're going to try for pups.. Im telling you that within months.. You will be a grandmother."
He said, delivering the news a bit early, so that she may have something to brighten the smile he didn't see.
"Figuring out what mother?.." He asked.. Giving her soft eyes, and gazing at her with love.

Came to seek her out, my that was a first, even with her sons. Kattana was use to being alone as of late, especially after she had snapped at Rome. Although she knew he was still around because food always appeared at her den entrance at the same time of morning and evening everyday.
Though she only ate when she was hungry and knew that this too made Rome more concerned, but he hadn't shown his orange masked face that she loved dearly. Even mad at him.
Looking at her son, she could see the presence of his father's genetics very strongly. The proud male that he had become and strong voice...Alpha, that would send Rome in such pride to know that at least one of his sons had excelled.
"Oh, dear that is wonderous news!" she exclaimed with a smile that no depression could with hold, and becoming a grandmother? Wow, another thing that Wazaam shared with his father, but he wouldn't need to know that. After all Rome and Kattana had only been in the company of each other a few days before she felt the presence of hightened maturnal instincts.
Though through all the happiness she wanted to avoid the question, but she knew that Wazaam most likely even had his father's focus. This made her sigh, but the smile wouldn't disappear from her maw at the wonderful news. "I'm just trying to see where the light was again. And I think you have brought it back to me, my wonderful son." She honestly confessed to her second born.
"You wouldn't happen to know where Adolfo is would you, hun?"

Her eyes were soft, and her smile made his heart leap for joy. He couldn't hide his smile as well.
Yes, one day Kattana would be a grandmother, and maybe the light that he had just brought to her face now, would be there for good after that. After all.. Kat needed someone to talk to every day, and maybe his pups would take a liking to the femme he called mother.
"Adolpho?" Indeed he did know how his brother was fairing. He had been fairing just as well. Becoming a sneaky, night wolf. A ninja of sorts.
"He is fairing indeed well mother! I have seen him a few months ago. He would have loved to come with me to see you. Sadly, I haven't found him lately. I should get back with him." He said, making a mental note.

The golden orbs seemed to warm with life at the news and thoughts that made her mind race welcomingly. It was so good to speak with her son, to see him happy, after all she had thought Wazaam hated her for a lost promise seasons ago. A promise she had truly wanted to keep, but with food supplies in their old home deplinishing it was hard to keep warm thoughts when life looked down upon the family she had wanted for her whole life.
Shaking her head, Kattana nodded it once Wazaam seemingly spoke Adolfo's name as if questioning about the brother that stood next to him when no one else would. It had always warmed Kattana's soul to see her sons so close as it did with her daughters.
Fairing well, that helped with her brightening mood. Though the thought that her sons had lost touch brought a slight frown to her maw. "You two use to be at each other's hips. I guess he too has found a female to steal away his heart?" it was actually a question, because for some reason Adolfo had always been different then the others, but Kattana like most others couldn't pin point the exact orgin.

Wazaam watche dhis mother carefully, noting each step she took and each smile she gave. She seemed so tired, and he couldn't help but feel as if maybe he had done that to her. He didn't remember her being quite so down when he was a pup..But now that he had grown, now that all his siblings had grown, Kattana had seemed to give up.
His emerald eyes looked into his mothers golden ones. She was indeed a beautiful she-wolf when she had birthed the litter. Now she was skin and bone, no where near the appropriate weight for a wolf of her stature.
Then his ears perked a bit. He and Adolpho were still as attached as ever. Only now Wazaam seemed to have more work on his plate then he had been used to. Adolpho was also the little ninja wolf that slunk off into the night. For all Waz knew,Adolpho would be right behind him when he turned around. Funny how that wolf could sneak up on someone who was used to it as Wazaam was.
His tail raised a bit as she smiled and gave his own smile, his ears trying to remain up instead of flat against his head in worry.
"We still are mother dear. I see him all the time. But responsibilities seem to keep me a bit busier than usual."

Slowly Kattana sat down before Wazaam, Rome would be very proud that he hadn't scarred is sons for not showing them the love he should have, but that was actually one of the reasons Kattana had actually demanded space. She had had a different philosophy about her childern then Rome had had. They were all suppose to be treated with warmth and love, though Wazaam seemed to have learned those things even without a good rolemodel before his paws.
((Only throwing him in here for a second))
Rome watched his son and the love of his life talking. The orange and white male was serveral yards away and too far to catch anything being spoken with his tattered left ear. But the large scarred male wasn't going to leave Kattana's small den area until she actually put more meat onto her bones. She had promised to stay healthy when their offspring had been born, but then again, even their sons knew of her tendency to break promises.
"That makes sense, you do have the weight of the pack on your shoulders, my son. At least this territory should be easier to defend then that of open lands, like the pack your father and I came from," she stated, not ever wanting any of her children to see that fate, though her ears perked back up.
She had an innate sense for knowing when Rome was around and sure enough she knew he was close by. However she didn't speak about him, instead she moved to lick Wazaam's cheek. "How are your sisters? Do you see them?" She questioned, gently, knowing the relationship between them four siblings.
Lurking in the gap between two large birchwoods, Adolfo stayed in the heavy shadows of the trees. He would have loved to step out to greet his brother and mother, but they were standing in the brightest sunlight of the day and right beside a creek where the light reflected off of it and danced on, well at least, Wazaam's coat.

...Sisters. He too, sat beside his mother, lying at her paws and looking up at her with great emerald orbs. He felt awful. He hadn't seen Rally, though no doubt she would disown him for what he had done to Shelby.. If she didn't already know..After all.The two were inseperable, and he had broken them apart..
His eyes were guilty as he looked to his mother. He felt horrid, and he could hardly meet her gorgeous golden eyes with his own emerald ones. But he did, and softly he wagged his tail.
Surely..Surely she wouldn't hate him for saving Shelby's life.. Shelby had fought with him, and told him he was nothing but a wolf in the pack. He was the pack alpha, and other wolves hearing that, and seeing Wazaam do nothing about it.. It was weakness.. If there was one thing he'd learned from Rome, it was that Rome's boys were not weak.
"Mother.. I haven't seen Rally.. But there's news I should inform you of about Shelby.."

Kattana looked into the guilty look of emerald pools, this wasn't good and her weak heart knew it in that instant. What had happened? Why had she not heard something? Well, she looked at the bony paws and front legs, oh yeah. Can't hear anything when your head is under water.
So Rally was off running around, that was at least what Kattana was going to tell herself. Turning to look back up at Wazaam, golden auds filled with the only look of dying honesty being asked, "What happened?" was all she asked.

He whined a bit, and glanced up at his mother. He would never show this side of him to anyone else but the femme who had birthed him..
"She was fighting me.. Snapping orders and telling me I was no alpha.. She'd scream it mother.. Scream it to the pack that I was not the alpha, but a measley pup no one wanted around.. She said I fell into the first thing that tempted me and teased my eye.. Twist.."
He looked at the ground, voice going low in sorrow.
"Twist arrived, and spoke on my behalf, hoping that the other wolves would not see the outcry of Shelby as a sign of weakness in me.. She was going to hurt Shelby.."
He looked back into his mothers eyes, l ooking for some kind of forgiveness. He just wanted her to tell him this would all be okay. That she still loved him despite his inability to protect anyone from the female named Twister.
"I had to send her away.. for her safety.. and my own."
He said, voice low again as his eyes could no longer hold his mothers.

Kattana looked at Wazaam, listening with only that of a mother's honest patiences, and that of only a frail wolf could.
"So she was in a major wrong and arguing with even a sibling of higher rank is a bad thing to do. Your sisters probably will never understand it, but as your mother and someone that will listen, I see where your best intentions could be interpreted as a bad deed."
Pushing her black snout into the warm and fluffy fur of her adolescent son, Kattana took in his scent. "Don't apologize for something that was life saving. I'm actually surprised that Rally is still running around in the pack. Twist seems to have a no tolerance type of demeanor, not that I'm talking bad about your mate and my alpha," Kattana quickly added in.
