do you find it hard to go through daily life wearing Gods Armor? i at times find it very hard. one of the hardest times is right here on gaia. the continual temptations posted here on gaia. the chatterbox forum is one of the biggest temptations around. you look in there & it's all threads of boy & girls do naughty things with each other. the hard part for me isn't to keep myself from joining in on those threads. i have a hard time not going in there to just post my own thread saying the chatterbox forum stinks. yet i don't cuz i know everyone has free will given by our Lord. this thread is where you can share your thoughts & feelings about being a christian that wears Gods armor.

Sometimes I hate being a Christian, I mean, I love God and I love to worship him and love him, but I hate being tagged as a Christian cause there are so many people out there making bad names for us. Like preachers who molest their youth in the church. Or pastors who steal money from the church. Or preachers who have affairs, etc.
I mean, If I was to go up to someone and say, HEY! I''m a Christian! they''d probably sneer at me and say, So? That doesn''t make you any different.
See. I want others to see a difference in me. I want them to look at me and see God, not just anyother person in the world.
But it''s hard....

Andromeda_Ascendant Sometimes I hate being a Christian, I mean, I love God and I love to worship him and love him, but I hate being tagged as a Christian cause there are so many people out there making bad names for us. Like preachers who molest their youth in the church. Or pastors who steal money from the church. Or preachers who have affairs, etc. I mean, If I was to go up to someone and say, HEY! I''m a Christian! they''d probably sneer at me and say, So? That doesn''t make you any different.See. I want others to see a difference in me. I want them to look at me and see God, not just anyother person in the world. But it''s hard.... you know? sad heart you make a great point. it is hard being a christian. todays world doesn't like christians cuz we're to rigid & stiff on our thinking. we're not like some European countries that have no problem with public nudity or things like that seen on regular tv that kids watch. we are like everyone else. we do bad things at times & good things, but alot of people view us as those goofy little christians. we are different in the sense that we represent Jesus. He saved us. He wanted us to go out into the world & do our best too not sin & too spread His word. it is very hard being a christian, but i'm glad i am one. smile

Yeah, I also hate it that people think that, because I'm a Christian, that I look down on them. That I think that I'm better than them, when I don't. I was tlaking with a few people the other day about Homosexuality. God says it's wrong and that's what I've been taught my entire life, but as I get older, I have a problem with this. Who are we to say who can love who? I know that God did, but the people now and days won't listen to Him or us for that matter, so why try to deny them the love they feel for each other? It'd be like someone telling me that I can't date my boyfriend because he's too short and I'm too tall....
Get what I am saying? neutral

It is hard for me to find life as a christian hard because I can't imagine my life without Christ. Yes there are obstacles. But I try to wake up every day think about what God has in store for me. I would never wish I wasn't a christian. The armor may get heavy but without it I would be no where. The temptations of the earth are hard to oversome but I find it easier when I remind my self that Gods love has more for me than any of those things do. no matter how hard it gets to wear Gods armor I will always be proud to wear it. biggrin

I Belive the hardest time to be gomped as a christan whould be at school where every other person wheres a cross and you see the same pepole whering the cross out on the street smokin a joint. as christans we are glomped together with everyone that "claims to where the cross". its fustraiting at times, but god tells us that we must forgive those who wrong us. God also tells us that the path of a christan is not a pridefull journy but humbling one. you must give up everything and walk in the name of Jesus christ no matter how hard things can seem because in the end....... isnt eternal life worth it.

Some have already posted about this but I HATE when people do give us Christians bad names. I mean they think we are all up tight, snotty, and think we are better than them and all that crud but we are not and they dont get it. We are all human and we sin and we make mistakes and we have problems like everyone else. I had a friend say in an discussion in another topic somewhere else that Why not believe in god because its like a free life insurance. What if we dont believe and God really is there and he comes and we go to hell cuz we didnt believe in him, yah know what me and him mean? If you dont believe in god ok what if he aint real and u was right and we believed in nothing, but the other way around what if he is real and you go to hell and burn for eternity? our point was that God is our life insurance. lol if it doesnt make since i will try to explain it better but if yah understand woo-hoo. lol well I gotta go everyone Bye and I love this guild I just got accepted. I can't say being a Christian is easy, and I'm not easily offended by people who prosecute us Christians. I've actually done some bad things on Gaia that I regret, but I'm trying to help people that have the same problems. One day I was sharing the Gospel on a website called Runescape, and I was able to lead someone to the Lord, praise God, but people that think they are Athiests have alot to say, and not all of it is nice, i was called several names for leading someone to God and being a Christian. Gaia is a hard place to preach the Word of God because so many people are against God, either for what He may have let happen to them, or if even they were lied to about Him, they yell at us, make up false stories, but to get directly to the point, most Christians today are sitting around living their lives and like 'La la la la I'm a Christian and I'm going to heaven.' Meanwhile, there are millions dying and going to hell, so even on Gaia, where most people don't like Christians, we must share the Gospel regardless, because we have nothing to lose except millions of souls going to hell. It's up to us to make an impact on the world in these days. Don't just sit around as we live our lives and others die and suffer, because when we die, we won't... They will.
