Rowan looked down from his place on the oak tree's large branch. He was up there watching his young charge - a very spirited teen wolftaur. He had done what he could, bringing her up to know how to fend for herself and such... even if she refused to know his ways. While he Reached a paw out to digg his claws into the tree bark he figured it was time to send her to a pack, before he got anymore attached to her.

The young wolftaur that Rowan was currently watching was watching another creature, a rabbit. She didn't want to kill it, she wasn't hungry - but she did want to stalk it. Those skills needed work. Wapasha was fast, agile, and could jump almost as well as Rowan, but she was loud and clumsy. An annoyance to her foxtaur guard. She lowered herself to the ground, letting herself get covered in snow. Her left ear twitched back, she was nervous. There it was just inching closer. Come on! She yelled to it in her mind, trying very hard to stay still. How can a cattuar do this so much better then me? Gah! Enough, it's moving again. She forced herself to look back at the rabbit which had stopped moving.

Lifting an eyebrow he watched closely, maybe she's learned how to stalk, finally. The rabbit had moved again, closer to the rock that Wapasha was hidding against. It stopped just a foot away from her nose. Okay, wolf, don't move yet, you wont catch him. He tried to silently call out orders to her, hoping she would hear them.

Yes! It was close enough. It's ears where just a foot away. Okay, now get it! She bounced up, letting out a rough bark and pounced on it. Only when her front paws landed there was nothing there. Not again! There, over there was some movement. She dashed after it chasing the rabbit. It ran through a hallow, knowing she couldn't fit in it, she jumped on it. Breaking it in half. The damn thing was acting as a bridge over a small dip. She went down in the middle of both halves of the old rotted log. Wapasha Howled from frustration, slight pain, and a lot of humiliation. She groaned and worked herself free from the dead tree. Standing up on all four she shook herself like a wet dog. The teen looked down at her legs and paws, groaning as she saw several small cuts and little streams of blood. "Damn it, what will Rowan think about this? I'm just happy he's not." She told herself aloud this time - honestly thinking she was alone. She moved back to the rock she started against, which was under an oversized oak tree. Laying down, she started to lick clean her cuts on her front paws.
