Lovers Walk[PRP] Spike and Birdy

He had fallen hard for his friend. She was indeed special to him, and special to the world of Soquili too. After all.. She thought she was a damned bird! And he was fine with that.
He would defend her from the world. He would defend her no matter what.. But this wasnt his nature.. but then again.. it was. He was capable of loving, but had never had the option, nor that want.

But he looked up at the sky and shook his head. His black horn glowing with the red above it in the moonlight. He hoped to find her, hoped to tell her.

"Bloody 'ell.. You sod.. Get over yourself." He clenched his eyes shut.

"Birdy deserves better than you. With her.. beauty effulgent.."
The last word stuck him, and he shook his head.
He had to find her.

Trills and cheeps were all she could acomplish... not being able to speak the language of the soquili like a horse. A dark littel night birdy spread its wings and took off into the air, its sorrowfull song floating on the crisp air around her. She joined in the song, strangely matching the notes of the song, makeing noises a horse shouldent be able to make, and prances after the tiny glistening patch of liveing night.

mint and silver leaves crushed the already dead falen leaves beneath her as she pranced through the trees, a dainty curley haired stream of color and darkness. Smears of emerald, topaz, sapphire, and jet black marked her tiny body untill she was a mimic of some exotick birdy whon she had spent her early years with.

She sang for herself... not for anyone who watched. She only sang for herself and one other.... wonderfull if others enjoyed her songs, but only for spike would she creatue a tune just for him. He was important to her... she had changed her paths of wondering to stay in a particular patch of forest.... just to be with him. Most unusual for a bird... To forsake safety just to be with someone.

Spike heard Birdy's tune, and knew it instantly to be her. He wasn't sure how he knew, but his heart instantly clicked the knowledge to his brain. His cloven hooves took off, dashing in the direction of the heavenly voice that sung above him, and still in his brain, even though her singing had ceased.

His lion-like tail flew behind him, and his duster blew back in a wave of ebony leather. His already windblown blonde mane became even moreso, as it was thrown about his neck.

"Birdy?"
He called, english accent thick and soft. He looked vulnerable this moment.. He looked soft. The normally deadly seeming stallion, with menacing eyes and red stained horn, looked very much unlike himself.
Looking for the mare..Looking.

Birdy stopped, her ears perked forward as she looked around. She heard his voice, that tall blonde unicorn who others seemed to be so affraid of. But he was just spike, just her spike, her wonderfull friend who didnt seem annoyed with the way she talked or her odd way of pranceing about as if she could barely stay on the ground.

He had to be around the tree line, because she hear his voice but she still didnt see his pale body. The night birdy forgotten setteled into a tree off in the distance.. singing now to itself on solitude as birdy poked her head around a tree to see spike.

Glassy black eyes set in a brilliantly bright face... framed by a curleing mane of emerald and gold.. She tweeted at him, a wonderfull smile curling acorss her black muzzle as she made a dainty hop over a raised tree root, her black tail with its tiny silver til floating down behind her like silken streamers.

He looked almost... almost upset? she tilted her head to the side and pranced up to him, her face suddenly covered by a veil of concern...

His body carried him, and then he saw her. Her bright green face, tipped with an ebony muzzle, and framed with a mane of emerald and gold.
She was beautiful, this mare that he so valued. He didn't mind her lack of speech at all. In fact, her songs sort of soothed him, a nd he was amazed at the way he could understand her. He always attracted the odd mares, but it was definately unwelcomed most of the time. He had met two very insane mares that seemed to go mad. And he had met Birdy. She was odd..
But she was the only mare that he didn't turn away.

Spike smiled to her, seeing the concern in her black eyes.

"Birdy,luv!"
He said softly, walking closer to her and biting at her mane.

"How are you, pet?"

Birdy smiled, her concern easing in her eyes from his voice and his familiar touch. She tweeted at him and turned her body so she was tucked against him, the length of her body tucked alongside his, nuzzleing his next as she tweeted telling him of her grand adventure chaseing the littel night bird and how she was chased by bats and how a moth got stuck in her main and how she thought she had found some tastey berrys to snack on but the actualy tasted like rotten cloer flowers.

She always seemed so exsited when she got to tell him how she was, of her day, of her silly littel adventures that seemed to amuse her so much. She tilted her tead and nipped at the short copped golden mane, tweeting as if repeating the question.

He listened to her tale, only really understanding that she was happy, and her night had been fun. He couldn't ever really get real words from her daily adventures, but her tone always said of what she was feeling.

He smiled,pushing his own body against hers.

"Birdy, you have.. you have run away with my heart. You are everything I think of, everything I want. I see you in my dreams, and my night sky is your eyes. Birdy, I think I love you."
He said quickly, looking at her, and then looking at the ground.
The usually arrogant unicorn, became the nervous stallion before her eyes.

Birdy blinked at him as he talked at high speed. She understood the common language yes but he was speaking so fast that she was stating to miss words... but those last ones, the ~i love you~ hit her like a rock between the eyes, and she stared at him with wide black eyes, her ears kinda floped back from the sudden announcement.

Her ears stood upright... and her eyes closed back to normal and she closed her eyes... for just a moment... opening them as a smile curled across her face and she trilled at him, a cascade of sweet quiet notes drifting out to caress his ears as she nuzzeled him, gently. She tried to chase away that nervouseness with sweet music and a gently touch.

Her first reaction made Spike start to mumble, and try to bring out his bad boy side again, but when she nuzzled him, his eyes softened, and the mumbled apologies ceased.

"Birdy, will you be my mate? I would adore you if you said yes."
He said, not meaning lifemated, unless Birdy so chose, but he wanted her to himself. He wanted to protect her, and love her.

Both of which he already did frequently for the young mare. But then again, she had given her share of protection in her own way as well.
His ears perked, and his eyes were soft as he waited for a tweeted reply.

Birdy smiled, glassy black eyes peering at him with that sweet but feral look that always seemed to fill them, and triled, an oddly softer version of her usualy hyper song. She reared up just a littel bit on her hind legs -for he was much taller then she- and nuzzeled his cheek, all the way up to the short blonde locks, wary of the spiraled horn.

She had no intention of leaving him ever, but to know she was wanted, and loves, by someone who ~sher~ loved was the greatest feeling she had ever experianced in her odd life. He should have known, once conversation had caused her to trail around with him for so long... but now... short of death there was no way hed get rid of her now.

He was stuck with that little colorfull mare for life.

The normally unattached stallion looked to the bright colored mare and his eyes were lit up with joy. He wasn't sure if he was being a clumsy fool as he had once been, or if he was actually being the attractive stud he was generally good at being.
He normally got a case of stutters when he was nervous as much as he had been, but his eyes were lit as he looked at Birdy, eyes aglow.
Oh boy was she stuck with him.

Nuzzling her cheek, he gave it a soft lick.
